BBA in Finance Management - Batch of 2025

Good choice for BBA with supportive faculty and active campus life.
Placements: For BBA students, placements are gradually improving. College invites a few companies from the retail, banking, and service sectors. While most students prefer higher studies like MBA, those who are interested in jobs get basic opportunities in sales, HR, and marketing roles. Placement cell conducts training sessions, soft-skill workshops, and interview practice, which adds real value.
Infrastructure: Mount Seena has good infrastructure compared to many self-financing colleges in the region. Classrooms are spacious, with projectors and presentation facilities for management studies. Library is updated with management books and journals. Hostel facilities are decent and safe, especially for students from outside Palakkad. Canteen serves hygienic food. The campus is overall well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and approachable. They use case studies, presentations, and group discussions to make learning interactive. BBA curriculum under Calicut University is well-structured, covering management, accounting, marketing, and HR. Internal assessment and regular class tests ensure students stay on track. Faculty members also motivate students to participate in business quizzes and seminars.
Other: College conducts management fests, cultural programs, and inter-collegiate competitions which give students exposure beyond academics. NSS and other clubs are active, encouraging participation in social work and leadership activities. Students get opportunities to build confidence, presentation skills, and teamwork through these events. Campus atmosphere is disciplined yet friendly, making it a good place for personal growth.

Supportive teachers, but placements and facilities need improvement.
Placements: Placements are not very strong for BBA. Only a few companies come every year, and most roles are in sales or marketing with average packages. Many students prefer to go for an MBA or other higher studies because placement opportunities are limited. Internships are arranged but mostly in small firms nearby, so the exposure is a bit less.
Infrastructure: The college has decent classrooms and a library, but the facilities could be improved. Wi-Fi is available but not always reliable. Hostel rooms are okay, but the food in the mess really needs improvement. Sports and cultural activities are conducted, but not on a very big scale.
Faculty: Faculty is supportive and approachable, but the teaching style feels a bit traditional. Some teachers are excellent and really helpful, but a few mainly follow textbooks and don't bring much practical knowledge into the class. The curriculum is as per Calicut University, but industry exposure is lacking. Exams are not very difficult if you follow what is taught, but I feel more case studies and practical assignments would help students.
Other: I chose this college mainly because it is affiliated with Calicut University and the fees were within budget. The location is convenient for students from nearby areas. The atmosphere here is safe and disciplined, which is good for focused studies. However, I feel the college should invest more in modern teaching methods, stronger industry tie-ups, and placement drives to compete with other institutions. Another thing is, while faculty members are approachable, more practical exposure and workshops would really add value to the BBA program. Overall, the college is good for academics and affordable fees.

A good environment for studies with decent placements and campus life.
Placements: Our BBA department gets fair placement support. Many students go for higher studies, but those who sit for placements usually get chances in marketing, sales, and finance roles. Some companies like local banks, retail firms, and a few IT recruiters have come. The packages are not very high, but enough for a fresher to start a career. Internships are also arranged, mostly with nearby businesses, which helps in gaining practical exposure.
Infrastructure: The college has decent classrooms with projectors and Wi-Fi access. The library is helpful for BBA students and has the necessary reference books. Hostel facilities are average but manageable. The mess food is okay, not the best, but clean. Sports activities and cultural events are regularly organized, which make life more balanced.
Faculty: Teachers are approachable and supportive. They explain topics clearly and also guide us in practical learning. The curriculum is updated as per Calicut University, and it definitely builds a base for an MBA or other higher studies. Exams are moderate, not very tough if we attend classes and prepare regularly.
Other: I chose this college mainly because it is affiliated with Calicut University and has a good name in the area. The BBA course is well-structured, and I like the supportive environment. I hope the college builds more tie-ups with companies in the future for better placements.

Good BBA college with a disciplined environment and helpful staff.
Placements: Placement support is decent for a self-financing college. Some BBA students have received internships and job offers from local firms and startups. College tries to bring companies, though most students choose higher studies or government exams.
Infrastructure: Amount seen has a clean and organized campus. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with basic facilities. Library has relevant books for management students, and the computer labs are sufficient for practical sessions. The classroom size is also very big, and students are comfortable with that.
Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive and approachable. They explain concepts well and guide students in seminars and project work. Most are postgraduate with solid academic knowledge. Teachers are very friendly to the students, and they will teach very clearly. Semester exams are little stuff.
Other: Campus has a strict and disciplined environment, which is good for focused studies but may feel too restricted for students expecting a lively college life. Fests, cultural events, and student clubs are conducted, but not very frequently or on a large scale. Students who prefer a calm academic setting may find it suitable.

Great placement, helpful faculty, but infrastructure needs major improvement.
Placements: The placement scenario here is surprisingly good. Many students from my batch received offers from recognised companies. The placement team works hard to bring in recruiters and provides career guidance, soft skills training, and resume workshops. Most roles are in customer service, sales, and entry-level finance. The average salary is about Rs. 20,000 per month, with a few higher offers. Pre-final year students also get internship opportunities. Those who take initiative and attend the placement sessions benefit the most. In terms of career support, the college delivers much better than expected, especially compared to its limited infrastructure.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is the weakest point of this college. The buildings look outdated, and classrooms are poorly ventilated with limited seating. There's a lack of modern teaching tools like projectors or smart boards. The computer lab is functional but outdated. The hostel is manageable but not very clean, and the food variety is limited. Wi-Fi access is unreliable across campus. The library has a small selection of books and limited reading space. Maintenance issues are frequent, and sports facilities are almost nonexistent. Overall, students adjust because of the academics and placements, not the facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are experienced and genuinely care about students. They explain topics clearly and are approachable for doubts or guidance. The curriculum covers both theory and practical aspects and is suitable for real-world application. Assignments, seminars, and group tasks keep learning interactive. Semester exams are structured well, and teachers ensure students are prepared through revision sessions. Internal tests help students stay on track. The academic environment is supportive, and students who attend regularly have no difficulty passing. Overall, the teaching quality plays a major role in student success and makes up for the college's other shortcomings.
Other: I enrolled in this course because of its career value and the recommendation from seniors. The college atmosphere is simple and focused on learning. Fests and extracurricular events happen occasionally but aren't the main highlight.

Great placement support, but poor infrastructure, needs improvement.
Placements: The college provides excellent placement opportunities. A dedicated placement cell conducts regular training, mock interviews, and skill sessions. Many students secure jobs in reputed companies with a salary between Rs. 18,000 and Rs. 25,000 per month. Internship support is also good. Students are guided throughout the process, and the placement staff is helpful and responsive. Companies offer roles in finance, marketing, and customer support. Students who actively participate in placement drives have a high success rate. Overall, the college is a good choice for those focused on getting placed soon after graduation, even if the infrastructure is lacking.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is disappointing and needs major improvement. Classrooms are basic and often crowded. There are not enough digital facilities or clean washrooms. The library is small with outdated materials. Lab equipment is either broken or missing. Wi-Fi is weak and rarely works properly. The hostel lacks proper maintenance, and the food quality in the mess is poor. Sports and recreation areas are underdeveloped. The college environment is peaceful, but facilities don't meet the expected standards. Students manage with what's available, but a better investment in infrastructure would greatly improve the overall experience.er maintenance, and food quality in the mess is poor. Sports and recreation areas are underdeveloped. The college environment is peaceful, but facilities don? T meet the expected standards. Students manage with what? S available, but better investment in infrastructure would greatly improve the overall experience.
Faculty: The faculty is the college's biggest strength. Professors are qualified, cooperative, and make sure students understand the subjects well. The curriculum is practical and industry-relevant, including regular assignments, group projects, and presentations. Exams are fair, and students are given proper support and materials for preparation. Weak students get additional attention. Regular internal assessment keeps students engaged throughout the semester. The academic environment is friendly and disciplined. Overall, the teaching quality is very good and plays a big role in student success, especially during placements.
Other: I chose this course because of the placement record and reputation in the local area. The student crowd is diverse, and there are occasional fests, cultural programs, and awareness events. The atmosphere is friendly, and the staff is approachable. Transport to the campus is manageable. Scholarships and fee concessions are available for eligible students. The college also supports competitive exam preparation informally. While the infrastructure needs work, the college still provides value due to its academic quality and career support. I would recommend it mainly to students who prioritize placement over luxury or campus life.
