It is overall a good college.
Placements: Our batch has 125 members. It has a 2:1 ratio between boys and girls. We are now in part 2 of the 3rd year MBBS curriculum. After that, there will be 1 year of internship. The stipend offered is Rs. 29,000 per month, and after that one can do house staffship for 6 months or 1 year. For house staff, 69 seats are available now. The next target is NEET PG.
Infrastructure: Our academic building has 7 floors. All floors have a clean bathroom and clean drinking water facility. There are laboratories with a sufficient amount of instruments. Our hostel building has a maximum of 4th floor, which is also clean. It has a great environment to study. We are 2 in a room.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful. They keep encouraging us to study. We have a total of 9 semesters in 4 years having 4 university examinations. Teachers generally teach us in the hospital room by demonstrating live patients from outdoors, which is very good for learning. Faculty members are enough here.
Other: It is my dream course, so I chose it. It is a very good opportunity to serve the people. But in recent years grievances against doctors are increasing which should be properly addressed by the authority. Our college organises an annual fest named Chronaxie, freshers party, etc.

Good peripheral medical college.
Placements: It is a medical college so mostly everyone gets a job in a government hospital just after they complete their degree through multiple paths. After graduation, you can easily earn anywhere from Rs 60,000 - Rs 70,000 to anything above depending on how much effort you are ready to put in.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is really good. Classrooms are modern and air-conditioned with projectors, blackboards, and whiteboards. College library is also really good. It has all the books that you can ever boom you can think about required for the course. Along with a reading room and free Wi-Fi. The college hostel is also nice and really affordable costing only Rs 19 per month. Other are also multiple canteen where you can eat and the food they serve is really tasty and affordability. College also has a playground and badminton court. Various sports activities also happen here.
Faculty: Faculty members are really good and they are expertise in their field. They teach really well and if you face any issue be it academically or outside you can always ask for their help. The course curriculum is really relevant and up-to-date. It has everything required to ensure we gain all the necessary skills to become a good doctor. Semester exams are really good, they challenge you to test your skills. They are required to study really well for each subject and practice the practical skills too. The pass percentage is also good. Almost everyone passes in the final.
Other: I chose this course because I really wanted to help treat people. I found it really fascinating to be able to fix the most complex machinery in the human body. I am completely satisfied with my college and it's really amazing.

For students who dream of becoming a doctor, I would recommend joining this college.
Placements: All students have to do a compulsory internship of one year, where they are paid Rs. 30,000 per month. This is preferably in the same college but may be done outside the college. After internships, students get an opportunity to do a housestaffship also, which depends on their rank based on exam results. Students get a handsome payment of less than Rs. 50,000 per month. It has very little work to do.
Infrastructure: We have a well-furnished hostel with a Wi-Fi facility. If students are lucky, they might get a cupboard. There is a huge playground, and it is great for a sports enthusiast. Sports and games like cricket, football, badminton, or volleyball are played every year. The library is great. All important books are available. The staff is very friendly. There are 3 canteens. Paritripti and Jamuna are a bit costly and spicy for daily intake. Ayush Canteen does not provide very tasty food, but good for daily intake at a reasonable price. Classrooms are awesome and air-conditioned with gallery systems, projectors, and monitors.
Faculty: Teachers are great. They are doctorates. They are friendly and experts in their subjects. The curriculum is very relevant. The theory is covered mostly in the first 2 years, and for the next 2 years, students need to attend award classes. Clinical exposure is very good in this college. Semester exams are not very difficult, as they are conducted by colleges. MB exams are very tough and conducted by WBUHS every year.
Other: I want to become a doctor, so I chose MBBS. My rank is not good enough to get a college in Kolkata, so I chose this college as it has good clinics. I wish we could get more academic opportunities like the Kolkata Colleges. The connectivity is great as the college is just near Berhampore Railway Station. Since the campus is huge, there is no crowd except in the hospital. The area inside is very peaceful and safe. Many events are held here like Chronaxie the annual fest, Bienvenue the fresher party, Aveseende the teacher's day, AU Revoir the convocation day, foundation day, etc.

Overall, the college is good and value for money.
Placements: There are more opportunities in the medical field than in others. MSDMCH provides a better education, although this is not in the big city. Almost 95% of students can easily complete the entire course with no backlogs. So, this is better than other average colleges.
Infrastructure: The course of MBBS provided by MSDMCH and the education quality are very good. Hindi medium students can face problems with the languages. Wi-Fi is available in this area, and the hostel is average like other colleges. The classrooms have AC. Labs are enough for the entire batch.
Faculty: The faculty are above-average, and they are very helpful, highly qualified and knowledgeable. They teach us in a very simplified manner. There are 9 semesters in the entire MBBS course (4.5 years) and 4 university exams. WBUHS controls all these university examinations.
Other: The fee is very low compared to other medical colleges in India. The education quality is above-average.

It is absolutely a good college for MBBS.
Placements: All the students got placed as MBBS doctors across the country after passing out. More than 60% of students are placed as house staff within the college itself. The stipend of house staff is 40,000 to 45,000. Salaries of MBBS doctors range between 30,000 to as high as 1 Lac per month. One can also work as a medical officer or get a job through the UPSC CMS exam.
Infrastructure: Hostels are good. Wi-Fi, reading room, and a common room are available. Bathrooms are average. Each hostel has its own canteen. The canteen food is healthy enough. A hospital is attached to college, so no worries about medical facilities. Different sports are organised by college students, including volleyball, football, and cricket tournaments. There are two grounds on the hostel premises and a badminton court. Table tennis and carroms are also available inside the hostel.
Faculty: The teachers are good and knowledgeable. They are always eager to help. The course is as per the NMC competency-based curriculum. Patients from all over Murshidabad and its surrounding area come to this hospital for treatment. Hence, the huge patient load makes students good clinicians. Internal assessment makes students ready for the professional exam which is conducted once a year.
Other: Chronaxie is our college fest which is amazingly stunning. Other than that, there are many events organised by college students. Students not only study here but also participate in extracurricular activities. Berhampore court station is just in front of the college. A bus stand is 10 minutes away. The college is well-connected to Berhampore city.

A great experience to be studying in this college and will be coming out as a doctor.
Placements: Speaking of placements, it's 100%, as it is a government medical college affiliated to West Bengal University of Medical Sciences, the term doesn't hold true here, all the students who graduate from Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital are certified Doctors MBBS about 40% of the graduates join as a in house physicians in different departments of our hospital itself which is decided upon merit, about 20% join private nursing homes or hospitals as medical officers and visiting physicians, rest of the graduates start solely preparing for postgraduate entrance examination, a fraction of the students apply for west Bengal medical services through which they are appointed as medical officers in various rural areas around west Bengal. So, placements are the last thing one should worry about after graduating. You have the liberty to choose to work or study or both together.
Infrastructure: As it is a government funded medical college and hospital, the infrastructure is at par with all rest of the medical colleges around west Bengal, we have centrally air conditioned lecture theatres, various departmental laboratories, which are upto NMC standards, we have a central library with air conditioned reading rooms and regularly upgraded and stacked medical and paramedical books, a dedicated journal and computer room. There's an Auditorium for functions and occassions. We have free Wi-Fi at the hostels and the canteens. Speaking of hostels we have seperate boys and girls hostels for undergraduates and postgraduates, for interns, for house physicians, nursing quarters. The hostels are appropriate with a common bathroom for the UG and attached bathroom in the intern hostel. They are well maintained, any complaint is resolved within a day, be it electrical, plumbing or anything. All of the students get free medical facilities with first priority. There are two playgrounds, a volleyball court, badminton court, indoor game room with tt boards, carrom in the hostels, AC visiting rooms. There are three canteens in the campus with decent food quality. All around its a beautiful experience to be a hosteller around friends and seniors as well as doctors.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified doctors, very helpful, undoubtedly knowledgeable. The teaching quality is excellent with audio visual aids, presentations, educational visits to wards and medical centres. The course curriculum is as per NMC guidelines and university regulations, with extensively dedicated seperate theory and practical classes. The semester examinations are quite tough, and the students are tested vigorously on the respective subjects. The pass % is 80.
Other: I always wanted to be a doctor since childhood, the best thing about this course is it makes you disciplined, patient, sensible, organized and enhances your work ethic for the future. Some things that I would like to be better about this course is the division of subjects and curriculum throughout the 9 semesters and the Patten of question paper with more emphasis on practical content and not more theory and subjective based. We have an Annual fest, CHRONAXIE, held in September, which is one of the best parts of the college life, you have to experience it to believe it.
