No, you cannot become a lawyer without a Law degree. You mandatorily need to obtain degrees such as BA/BCom/BSc/BBA LLB or LLB in order to be a lawyer in India. To become a lawyer, one must first complete three-year or five-year LLB from a recognised university and possess degree certificate. Then, they must enrol themselves in local Bar Council of the concerned state and enrolled as an advocate. Within two years of the enrolment, they must appear and clear AIBE in order to be eligible to practise anywhere in India.

The CLAT 2026 4th merit list is out for admission to the PG-level LLM programme. Students must pay the confirmation fee by May 8, 2026, to either Float or Freeze their allotted seats.
The NPAT 2026 registrations are ongoing for admission to the BBA course. The deadline for the same is May 26, 2026. The NPAT exam 2026 is going to be held till May 31, 2026.
The CLAT 2026 fourth merit list for admission to the five-year Integrated LLB (UG) courses is now released. Students must pay the confirmation fee by May 14, 2026, to either float or freeze their allotted seats.

Q: What is the difference between the syllabus of Andhra Pradesh LAWCET and the syllabus of CLAT?

Both the AP LAWCET and CLAT entrance exam are conducted for admission to the Law schools in India, however, the syllabus for these exams are different on many parameters and candidates should strategise differently for both the exams. AP LAWCET exam has sections including Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Contract Law, Constitution, etc. and the CLAT entrance exam sections include English Language, Legal Aptitude, Mathematics, etc. AP LAWCET does not have mathematics subjects, AP LAWCET exam focus more on regional knowledge. Review of NMIMS University, Chandigarh.

Placements: It is the first batch of NMIMS, Chandigarh campus. Being a part of the first batch, students do not know much about the placements opportunities. But they provide the best placements, and students are also expecting the same.

Infrastructure: The campus is well-equipped. The medical facilities, mess, canteen facilities, etc., are available in this college. It has modern classes, laboratories, and libraries.

Faculty: It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of this college from the very beginning. Faculty members are supportive, and help students with the face-to-face classes. Even during the pandemic, they motivate students to do better.

Other: Being the first batch, the crowd is not huge, but many students are looking to seek admission.
