NID Bangalore Application Process 2025
The NID Bangalore MDes application process is an online procedure. The application fee for NID MDes ranges between INR 3,000 and INR 6,000 depending upon the number of specialisations opted and the category of the applicant. Eligible candidates need to visit the official website of the National Institute of Design website and follow the steps given below to fill out the application form.
Step 1: Visit the official admission website of NID (http://admissions.nid.edu).
Step 2: Click on ‘How to Apply’. In case of a new user, click on signup. Registered users can log in to fill out the application form.
Step 3: Log in using the registered mobile number and email ID.
Step 4: Fill in your personal and educational details correctly and click on ‘save and proceed’ to go to the next section.
Step 5: Upload the documents* as mentioned— a recent passport-size coloured photograph (between 60 KB and 100 KB); a scanned signature image (not exceeding 100 KB); and a caste certificate issued by a competent authority (not exceeding 150 KB).
*All the above-mentioned documents must be in jpg/jpeg format.
Step 6: After uploading all documents, click on ‘save and proceed’ to pay the application fee online (debit/ credit card) or offline (demand draft). You may also click on ‘save and exit’ to complete the form at a later date or time.

Yes, you can certainly apply for NID DAT 2025 if you have completed your senior secondary schooling (Class 12) from NIOS. The basic eligibility requires students to pass Classa 12 or equivalent from a recognised board. Those who have completed their senior secondary exam from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with at least five subjects are eligible for NID Design Aptitutde Test 2025. Students should note that all details entered by the candidate in the application form will be verified at the time of counselling. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate may be disqualified.
The application fee of NID DAT 2026 for the B. Des for General, General-EWS, OBC-NCL candidates is INR 3,000. SC, ST, PwD candidates only ned to pay INR 1,500. However note that the application fees for overseas candidates seeking admission to supernumerary seats is INR 5000. In case of the M.Des programme, the application fees for General, General-EWS, OBC-NCL candidates applying for one discipline is INR 3,000. If two disciplines are chosen, the application fee is INR 6000. Meanwhile, SC, ST, PwD candidate need to pay INR 1,500 for one discipline, and INR 3000 for two disciplines.
