The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Bangalore offers a Master of Design (M.Des) program. Admissions to the M.Des program at NIFT Bangalore are based on candidates’ performance in the NIFT entrance exam. This exam comprises the General Ability Test (GAT), Creative Ability Test (CAT), Situation Test or Group Discussion, and Personal Interview. Candidates seeking admission to the BDes programme of NIFT Bangalore have to appear for the NIFT Entrance test that comprises of CAT and GAT. The eligibility criteria for NIFT is mentioned below:

NIFT Bangalore admissions for BDes courses are granted based on marks obtained in the NIFT Entrance Exam. As per the available cutoff data, the last round closing rank for BDes admissions 2024 ranged from 65 to 654 for the general category candidates belonging to All India Quota seats. In 2023, the cutoff for the General AI quota students ranged from 106 to 932.

Once students have filled out the application form for NIFT Bangalore BDes admissions, they are required to appear for the in-house entrance test.
