The admission process for the BE programme at Gujarat Technological University is open for students. Admission is based on the Class 12 merit and score in the accepted exams. STEP 1: Gujarat Technological University BE Application Process 2025

To apply for the Gujarat Technological University BE course, candidates need to fill out the application form online. Follow these steps to get started:

Step 1.1: Initially, applicants should visit the official website of Gujarat Technoligical University (gtu.ac.in) and check the ‘Students’ section on the ‘Home’ page.

Step 1.2: Check the drop-down menu, 'Admission' section is available. Check the eligibility criteria and fill out the GCAS registration form on the website with accurate information to avoid disparity.

Step 1.3: Upload the required documents along with the educational qualifications, and submit the application by reviewing it after paying the application fee, which is not more than five hundred rupees.

STEP 2: College Allotment Process

Gujarat Technological University might release the merit list for the selected students, which is prepared by the GCAS. Seats from the preferred BE course are allocated to the students based on their score of Class 12 examination and accepted exams. I really put a genuine review from my side.

Placements: I do not know much about placements because I am at the start of the 5th semester. But when I asked my seniors, they said the placement is good. Talented students are placed in good companies with good packages. The college organizes mock placement drives to prepare students for real interviews.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. I like the architectural design of the college because it is beautiful and well-organized for each department. The campus is also clean and compact. The entire campus is covered with Wi-Fi. Labs are good. Overall, the campus is nice for students.

Faculty: Faculty is very experienced and helpful. Talking about the curriculum, the college organizes the Prakharsh festival, which plays an important role in skill development. The college also has many clubs like GDG, AIM, Build-x, Buzz Tech, etc. The curriculum is better.

Excellent ROI with good coding culture and faculty.

Placements: The placements are impressive. You can find decent packages (3 LPA–5 LPA) for core branches like Mechanical, Civil, and Chemical. Whereas in CSE and CE, due to recent trends, you can easily find good and secure placements at various companies like TCS, Infosys, and Bacancy.

Infrastructure: The campus is very spacious (previously housing IIT Gandhinagar). You can find well-maintained and well-equipped computer labs and classrooms. The library contains a huge number of books. The downside is that, being a government institution, the structure looks a bit old.

Faculty: Professors are highly qualified, with many holding Ph.D.s. They are fundamentally supportive in academic and career guidance. The curriculum is structured and managed by GTU. Exams are conducted under the GTU scheme. The first year builds a basic foundation of subjects from all branches. From the second year, core subjects of the specific branch are introduced.

Review of VGEC, Chandkheda.

Placements: 1/4th of the students are placed in this college. It has 4 departments like CSE, IT, this, ICT are mainly placed in companies, and 32-35 company are in college and each company 2-3 students placed and total number of students is 400-450, so it is very tough to get placement.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is in good condition, but in summer any side of window there is no air circulation. Only 2-3 departments have water machines, and there is no much space to play cricket, football, and not ground. Overall, the college is good, but some departments, like B block, have no separate water coolers.

Faculty: Faculty are good here, and paper patterns are also designed by them. This is helpful in practical knowledge but not in GTU exams. Teachers are helpful and kind in nature and they have good knowledge of their domains. This course is designed by GTU and is is the same in all government colleges.

Other: Overall, it is good.

Good exposure and overall you will enjoy college life.

Placements: Overall the placement is good. There are great packages for students and good companies come for placement grounds. Minimum packages start from 3 LPA- 4 LPA to something 20 LPA I guess. Companies like Tata Consultancy, etc., come for placement with some small startups as well.

Infrastructure: Hostels are of good infrastructure and new hostels have been developed too. The canteen and mess have good food. Hostels have basic facilities and the mess is known for its food. The canteen also has lunch options and snacks. LD is also good at sports. Many seniors and batchmates have gone to state-level competitions from their colleges. There is a special dedicated Sports season every year.

Faculty: Faculty members guide and teach in every aspect and attendance is compulsory. All the labs are well-maintained in good condition and all the lab devices too. There are newly installed ACs in our department apart from labs, and classrooms are also in good condition.

Infrastructure is improving and the faculty is good in my branch. Need to improve the placements.

Placements: Placement is quite good overall but as in my branch they need to improve. Mostly only big companies come for core branches only and the branches like mine are very few and that also from every branch only my branch gets the least package.

Infrastructure: I don't know about the hostel but I heard that the facilities are not good. The academic building is quite decent. My building has the facilities of a lift and water coolers but the sanitary facilities should be improved like specific facilities for female washrooms. The best is we have a ladies' room where we can sit and it's a good thing for girls.

Faculty: Exam is good like management is good for this large number of students. The faculty members are decent. They should improve the curriculum for branches which are not core ones. In GTU there is a programme called IEP and only core branches are eligible to apply for that. I want the sub-branches also to get a chance to apply for it.

Other: They should conduct more co-curricular activities as we are fed up doing just academics and engineering things.

Really good college overall in Gujarat.

Placements: This is a new course. This year is going for placements for the first time. So right now we do not have data, but it has really good connections, and maybe placements are also very good. The main job role is Data Analyst. Also, the college offers internships, which are really good for placement time.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good and huge, maybe better than other colleges. Also, there is an AC in the library, which is very rare. The library has two floors. Not all classrooms have AC, but a few seminar halls have AC. The canteen is good. The hostel is really good and clean. Also, hostel fees are minimal.

Faculty: Faculty is helpful and supportive. Some faculty members have studied at IITs. There are many teachers who are really knowledgeable and ready to support students. Semester exams are not too difficult if we study from the beginning of the semester. Also, faculty of my course is really supportive.

Other: I chose this course because I love Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, which have really high scope in the future. This field is not too crowded. It is not easy either, but it depends on interest.
