National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT Jodhpur) has collaborated with various colleges, industries, and universities. NIFT Jodhpur has signed MoUs with various companies and industries. Some of the NIFT Jodhpur collaborations are with Queensland University of Technology (Australia), Swiss Textile College (Switzerland), De Montfort University (UK), Royal Academy of Arts (Netherlands), University of Northampton (UK), and others. These collaborations have helped these colleges to grow. 

Direct admission is not possible at the National Institute of Fashion Technology NIFT Jodhpur. Candidates must follow the eligibility criteria to apply for admission to several courses at the National Institute of Fashion Technology. The eligibility criteria for the admission to undergraduate courses is passed a three or four-year Diploma recognised by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) or to pass Class 12 from a recognised board or the State Board of Technical Education. The accepted entrance exam is NIFT Entrance Exam and others.

National Institute of Fashion Technology Jodhpur is one of 17 campuses established under NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology). It was established in 2010. The National Institute of Fashion Technology was originally established in 1996 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Jodhpur NIFT offers postgraduate, undergraduate, and Continuing Education (CE) programmes to students. These programmes are provided across Fashion Design, Textile Design, Fashion Management, and several other streams. The National Institute of Fashion Technology Jodhpur is ranked 23 for Design by IIRF 2023.
