NIT Agartala approval details are not yet released. NIT Agartala has 13 departments under it. Agartala NIT offers UG, PG, & PhD programmes to students. These courses are given across the Management, Engineering,  and various other streams. Tripura Engineering College was converted to the NIT Agartala by the Government of India.

Yes, NIT Agartala is a good college. National Institute of Technology Agartala has been ranked by the NIRF 2025 under the Engineering category at the 101-150 position. The Government of India converted the Tripura Engineering College to NIT Agartala in 2006. NIT Agartala ROI is quite good. The placements are also decent. 

Placement rate recorded in BTech, MCA and MBA courses during placement drive 2025 was 80%, 63.33% and 100%. Earlier, in 2024, the overall placement rate recorded was 80.61%.
