National Institute of Technology Agartala review.

Placements: Around 50–60% of BSMS Mathematics and Computing students get placed, with an average package of 10 LPA. Recruiting companies include PhonePe, Amazon, PayPal, Microsoft, L&T, and ICICI Bank. Companies like Caastle, Zscaler, Junglee Games, and Tata Elxsi offer packages of around 20 LPA. Placement eligibility starts in the 7th semester, and internships begin in the 5th semester. Google and Amazon offer stipends to interns.

Infrastructure: Since my department is Mathematics, it is well established, with modern equipment like smart boards, projectors, and computer labs. The hostel is also good. Wi-Fi is provided: 2 GB per day. RO water facilities are available. The mess food quality is not very good.

Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful. All are well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good. Most students from this course go for higher education, such as a Ph.D. Exams are moderate to tough. Most questions come from the class notes discussed by teachers in class.

Other: It is one of the best colleges in Northeast India. However, it lacks many facilities, such as food delivery services. The nearby area is still developing.

The green, lush NIT Agartala.

Placements: Placements are good. Mainly, EdTech and BDA roles are prominent. However, if you work hard, teaching roles are also possible. Try to work hard in your first semester, as a branch change is also possible. If you maintain a decent CGPA, that will help you change your branch and make a leap.

Infrastructure: It is a beautiful campus. It is a green, lush campus with an area of around 450 acres. All things are generally available on campus. They are within walking distance from your hostel. Hostels are also good. Double accommodation is available for 1–2 years.

Faculty: The faculty is rigid, and the curriculum is also rigid. Teachers have knowledge, but they don't know how to impart that knowledge to the students. The curriculum is relevant but needs some changes. Semester exams are easy. They can be passed with one day of preparation and a little hard work.

Other: If you are not getting anything else, then come here. Otherwise, try for better.

College is totally good. I suggest students don't join the BS degree if they want placements.

Placements: In my course, there are 25 seats, out of which 21 seats have been filled. Out of them, only 9 students are placed as there are low placements. In the last year, only 2 students got placements with a package of 15 LPA. Some students got placements with the package ranging from 6-8 LPA because of the BS degree. Only 15 to 20 companies hire students from our course.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good compared to other NITs. We have a large area and sports facilities. Classrooms are good, but in hostels, we face network problems. The hostel has Wi-Fi for which we get 2 GB per day and water coolers, but some do not work. There are so many water coolers, so there is not that much of a problem.

Faculty: In our department, some faculty members are too good, like 1 faculty member is in the world's top 2 percent of researchers, and other professors are also good. But I can't say anything about some professors. The course structure is good for research purposes. If students want to do a job in the IT sector, then it will never help them. We have to learn skills by ourselves.

Placements: The BS+MS Chemistry at NIT Agartala is a five-year full-time integrated dual degree programme offered by the Department of Chemistry. Admission is through JEE Main via the JoSAA counselling, and eligibility requires having completed 10+2 with science subjects (PCM or PCMB) and usually around 75% marks in qualifying examinations (with relations for reserved categories).

Infrastructure: NIT Agartala occupies around 365 acres of campus, set in a serene environment with well-planned academic blocks and greenery. The institute offers modern classrooms, seminar halls, and a lecture theatre equipped with projectors and other audiovisual aids. Labs are well-equipped across departments, including computer labs, electronics, mechanical, civil, etc., supporting hands-on learning. The central library has a large collection (several tens of thousands of books), many journals (200), plus digital resources, a reading room, OPAC, and scanning/copying facilities. For connectivity, the whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled.

Faculty: Teaching staff at NIT Agartala is well-qualified, with many faculty members holding PhDs from reputed institutions and having experience in both academia and research. Students often describe them as supportive and accessible, although there is feedback that teaching quality can vary across departments.

Absolutely satisfied with the infrastructure, sports facilities, and faculty.

Placements: Out of 25 members in my batch, almost everyone got placed in campus placements, mainly during the final year. If you are passionate about teaching, then this course would be apt for you because many top teaching platforms like Byju’s, Physics Walah, and many more are recruiting students mainly from our department.

Infrastructure: NIT Agartala has one of the biggest sports complexes among all 31 NITs and also separate buildings for each department. Of course, the CSE building infrastructure is top notch. We also have a big round glass library where we have access to many books, and we have a digital library as well.

Faculty: Curriculum is good and very updated. Mainly, those who want to do Masters and Ph.D. in this relevant area will benefit more. When it comes to faculty, we have top notch faculty who did their Ph.D. as well as double doctorates from Germany. We also have faculty who scored All India in both NET and GATE.

This college is very underrated but things are different here.

Placements: I am studying BSMS Physics here. This is a pure science course. Most of the students in this course go for higher studies, including me. As this is an engineering college, most of the companies focus on B.Tech. students. Even though BSMS students can also get placement, they have a good CGPA and skills. The highest package given here is 52 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA and the average is 5 LPA. Top recruiters includes Google, Infosys, Texas, IBM, Bharat petroleum, Indian Oil, etc.

Infrastructure: The facilities on the campus are good. All students will get 2 GB of Wi-Fi per day. The speed of Wi-Fi is adjustable but sometimes there will be connectivity problems. Classrooms are also good. The campus has a big library with a capacity of more than 5,000 books. When compared to the labs of other research institutes like IISER, NISER, etc. The lab facilities here are a bit smaller. But for B.Tech, it is okay.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members at this college are Ph.D. holders and well-experienced. The teaching quality is also good. But because of the difference in accent, students like me, who come from South India, find it difficult to understand the classes. The course curriculum is relevant. The difficulty of semester examinations is above average. Students should score 40% in order to pass.

Other: I am very interested in research. That's why I chose this course. I actually tried for research institutions like IISER, but because of a certificate error, my seat got cancelled. Then I found the BSMS course here and applied. There is a myth that this campus has less connectivity, but as in Kerala, the connectivity is good. The campus has a good greenery as it is mostly covered in forest.
