MBA in Power Management - Batch of 2026
4.0
A college that offers a unique MBA in Power Management with a 100% placement guarantee.
Placements: 75% of students are placed in our passing-out batch, with the highest package being 19.5 LPA, the lowest 7 LPA, and an average of 13 LPA. The recruiting companies are mostly consultancies and those in the renewable energy sector, and almost everyone got internships, with only 2 people remaining.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of the college are good. The hostel infrastructure quality is good, but the hostel or mess food is not up to the mark, though it is adjustable. The mess infrastructure is good. The campus has badminton, volleyball, and table tennis facilities.
Faculty: The faculty members are qualified and teach well. The curriculum is relevant and definitely makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are not that tough; it's easy to pass if you put in some effort. The passing percentage is 100%. The subjects are not that tough.
Other: I chose this course because it provides a unique specialized MBA course that has good scope in the future. The hostel food could have been better. As our class strength is less, there are only very few events and fests. But as more students come, I am sure that more events and fests will be arranged.

MBA in Power Management - Batch of 2026

Very good placements but no campus life.
Placements: I am in the 18th batch of MBA, and so far, the institute has a 100% placement record. The highest package this year is 19.5 LPA, and the lowest is 7.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Adani Power, Sunshure, Truboard Partners, GMR, Hero Power, ABPS, etc. In my batch of 37 students, only 4 are yet to get internship offers, which I believe they will get. Many companies have come for placements and internships.
Infrastructure: The campus and hostel are neat and tidy, but there is no Wi-Fi facility in the hostel. The mess is vegetarian, and the quality of food is not up to the mark. An on-campus doctor is available all day. There are different courts for sports and a gym. The library is also available, with very good infrastructure and relevant books.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, and the course curriculum is very relevant to the power sector. Exams are not very tough, easy to learn and write, with a 100% pass percentage. The guest lectures are good but need more practical study rather than being fully theoretical for core power subjects. The syllabus is good and will make candidates industry-ready if they work for it.
Other: Extracurricular activities like those seen in other MBA colleges, such as programme for communication and personal skills, etc., are not available. But, placements are very good. If a candidate prepares well, he or she will certainly land a job offer.

Perfect for Power MBA with less amount of fee as compared to other institutes.
Placements: NPTI Faridabad Power MBA Placement is 100%. For 2025, the highest package is 19.5 LPA. The average package is 12 LPA and minimum package is 7.5 LPA. Top recruiters are E&Y, Sunsure, ABPS, IDAM Infra, Hero Future, ZMR, Torrent Power, Avada group, etc. NPTI also provides internship opportunities to students.
Infrastructure: Our campus has high-speed Wi-Fi but not in the hostel. Smart classrooms equipped with projector, sound system, and traditional marker board. Library is average. Food quality is average. Rooms are good and have a geyser. Room cleaning service is also available. Badminton, volleyball court, gym, and auditorium are also there.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified. The institute has a pool of internal as well as visiting faculty members. Many of them hold degrees from IITs & IIMs. Also, institute invites industry experts to deliver guest lectures. Curriculum is well-designed covering all aspects of power business and energy market. Semester exams are conducted at JCBUST, YMCA, and the level of paper is very good.
Other: I chose this course because the power sector is growing rapidly and there will be a huge requirement for a skilled workforce in the coming days. We have an annual cultural and outdoor fest. Apart from this institute facilitates us to participate in different exhibitions, seminars, expos, etc. The nearest metro is NHPC Chowk.

Review for National Power Training Institute.
Placements: MBA (Power Management) is a sectoral MBA about electricity sector of India and overseas. Therefore companies exclusively working in the sector visit the campus instead of hiring talents from colleges providing general MBA courses. During 2013-14, placements were uncertain. Only 80% students got placed. Big 4 like PwC, Deloitte and KPMG, Tata Power, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Company, TCS, Feedback, WTMA, Torrent Power & Thermax were the major companies which recruited students as management trainee/ assistant managers/ consultants. 100% students got placed for the internship. The highest stipend paid was Rs. 8,000, the lowest was zero.
Infrastructure: NPTI, being a part of the Ministry of Power, enjoys just enough access to various infrastructures as an MBA student needs. Wi-Fi enabled hostels and a separate IT lab aided the students in taking a quick peek into the ongoing developments around. Each hostel room could accommodate two students. Rooms were furnished with attached washroom cum bathroom. Students run their own mess with the help of 2-3 manpower. Since students themselves are stakeholders in the mess, each one of them would help in deciding the menu. By consensus, 3-4 students would form mess committee to ensure quality and hygienic food and a clean mess. A dispensary is present on the campus that ensures 24 hours medical facility to students.
Faculty: MBA course at NPTI is a mix of a general MBA subjects like marketing, finance, HR, business research etc. and power subjects such as electricity regulation, electricity generation, electricity transmission, electricity distribution and renewable energy. Therefore we had faculty members each specialising in these various subjects. Guest faculty members from the power sector, regulation, finance were invited very frequently- on an average every week- to keep the students abreast with industry practices and developments. A visit to Rajghat Power Plant for the understanding of the working of thermal power plants are conducted yearly. Students would also attend conferences on renewable, coal, smart grid, etc.

Other: The program is targeted towards fresh and practicing engineers and is a unique golden opportunity for the Management of Power Utilities to groom bright executives with engineering background who are expected to move to key positions in the near future. In addition to the inputs provided in regular MBA programs, this 'Program with a Difference' lends special emphasis on specific Power Sector issues and ethos to give extra strength to the Indian Power Sector engineers to steer Power Sector of the country in the challenging times ahead. The curriculum design and the learning process emphasize the development of students' skills and abilities to apply management theories and concepts to live problems of electricity industry.
