Nehru Arts and Science College offers various scholarships to its BA students. The college extends its support to meritorious students. Following is the list of available scholarships and the documents/proof required to avail them:

• Ex- serviceman Scholarship-20% concession on semester fee
• Covid Frontline Warrior Scholarship-20% concession in Semester fee
• School Teacher Referral Scholarship-20% concession in Semester fee
• Nehru Vigyan Scholarship (UG)-INR 3,000 Fee concession if HSC Percentage is between 70–74
• Nehru Vigyan Scholarship (UG)-INR 5,000 Concession if HSC Percentage is 75 and above
• Single Parent Scholarship-30% concession in Semester fee

Based on the above list, the highest amount of scholarship offered is 30% concession in semester fee under the Single Parent Scholarship. In order to be eligible, the students must provide proof of single parent (Divorce, Death certificate) to the college.

Admissions to BA at Nehru Arts and Science College are made based on merit. Any candidate who has completed the HSC (Class 12) and obtained an HSC certificate is eligible to apply for BA at Nehru Arts and Science College. Applicants are ranked based on their merit in Class 12. Shortlisted candidates are then invited for a One-to-One meeting/interview with the Principal/HOD/Dean of the college. Candidates must carry the following documents:

Nehru Arts and Science College offers two specialisations under its BA programme, BA in English Language Literature and BA in Criminology. According to unofficial sources, Nehru Arts and Science College is one of the few 57 colleges offering a course in Criminology all over India. Both the above mentioned courses are of three years duration and the curriculum has been divided into six semesters.

The fee of BA at Nehru Arts and Science College for three years course duration ranges between INR 24,000-INR 90,000 annually, as per the official website/sanctioning body. In case a student is unable to attend the internal exam at Nehru Arts and Science College, they have the option to retake the exam by providing a valid reason, such as a medical emergency, to the college. The institute conducts three sessional exams, and if a student misses one of them due to a valid reason, they have the opportunity to make up for it in the remaining exams. However, it is advisable for students to be attentive and focused to avoid missing any exams, as these semester marks significantly contribute to their final grade in the overall result.

NASC BSc Ranking 2024 are not available. However, in 2023, Nehru Arts and Science College ranked #20 among ‘India Today Ranked Colleges in Tamil Nadu in 2023’ under the ‘Science’ category.
