The college had an excellent curriculum and infrastructure facilities.

Placements: The placement cell of Newman college is good. But the number of students getting placement are comparatively low in UG streams because the students opt for higher studies. The main recruiters are Federal Bank, Deloiitte, HDFC bank, ESAF etc. The salary package various from company to company. But usually it starts from 1 Lacs and so on.

Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructural facilities and the classrooms are well arranged. The library contains lots of books and journals. College has a good computer lab and an ATM counter in campus itself. The canteen is excellent and provides tasty and quality food. Hostel facility is only allotted to girls.

Faculty: The faculty members of Newman college is excellent. They all have an in depth knowledge about the subjects. All faculty members are highly qualified. The teaching methods are impressive. The course curriculum is very relevant and it makes the students ready for the industry .

Other: I took this course because of my interest towards finance. There are several events, sports and art programs in college. The various activities gives the students a way of exposure.

I am fully satisfied with the college because of the standard of teaching.

Placements: After the bachelors, many students opt for higher students. Only a few students attend for campus placements. Many reputed companies and private banks like SBI South Indian Bank, Federal Bank, TCS, etc., visit our college for placements. As we are specialising in finance and taxation, there are wide opportunities.

Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities and infrastructure like smart classrooms, fully equipped labs, library, canteen, indoor stadium, etc. Our college gives more importance to extracurricular activities and encourages students to participate in all activities. The hostel facility is available for girls.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are well-qualified, and they make the study easier. They help students in all their ways to build a bright future. They focus on the holistic development of the students. The syllabus is properly planned, which enables us to understand about the course in its true essence.

Other: I have chosen this course because this course has a wide opportunity and the faculty members are knowledgeable and well-qualified. But an internship is not compulsory here. Our college should make internship mandatory as part of the course which will provide the students with an exposure to the work environment. Our college conducts many events, and one of the biggest fests is the commerce fest conducted by the commerce department. Our college also encourages students to participate in NCC, NSS, sports club and art club. NCC in Newman College is one of the best units in Kerala, and it secured the best unit award in Kerala Lakshadweep directorate in 2017.
