NIELIT Ajmer: Courses, Fees, Admission 2025, Placements, Cutoff

NIELIT Ajmer offers certificate and UG Diploma courses. Students have an on-campus facility of labs and library. Students can go to the library to issue a book of their choice. The library is well-equipped with books of all subjects. The institute also has a hostel facility with round the clock security services. The hostel rooms are spacious and comfortable and the food of the mess is also healthy and tasty. NIELIT Ajmer also has an e-learning platform that is based on collaborative working, creativity, multidisciplinarity, adaptiveness, intercultural communication and problem solving, has taken on an important role in everyday life.

There is no official data for NIELIT Ajmer and Chennai placements. However, NIELIT conducts centralized placements through its dedicated online placements portal. Efforts are being made to facilitate suitable job offers to the students after their course completion. The students can register for free on NIELIT placements portal and submit their CV. The portal also facilitates prospective employers to examine and select resumes on specific needs and skill sets. The fee structure for the Certificate courses at NIELIT Ajmer starts from Rs. 125 for Appreciation of Digital Literacy (Level 1) course up till Rs. 33,000 for NIELIT A Level (Part Time).On the other hand, the fee structure at NIELIT Chennai begins at Rs. 700 for a certificate course called Online Summer Internship on IoT using Arduino and ESP8266 and goes as high as Rs. 35,594 for a PG Diploma course called Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science and Analytics (NSQF Level - 8). The higher fee structure lies on the NIELIT Chennai’s part which makes NIELIT Chennai slightly more expensive than NIELIT Ajmer.

There are no specific marks required for NIELIT Ajmer UG Diploma. The minimum eligibility criteria requires students to have cleared class 12th from a recognised board with at least passing marks in all the important subjects. Along with this, students must also appear for and clear the NIELIT entrance exam. Candidates can apply online through the student portal of NIELIT. Only students meeting the eligibility criteria can apply for admission by filling the online application form. 

Both NIELIT are affiliated with the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology. While NIELIET Chennai offers 7 courses in 2 streams, NIELET Ajmer offers 19 courses across 2 streams. NIELET Ajmer offers courses across Electronics, Computer Science and Information Technology and related disciplines while NIELIT Chennai courses are offered in Information Electronics and Communication Technology (IECT) viz. VLSI Design, Embedded System, Networking, Information Security, and IT Applications. The infrastructural facilities of both the colleges include lab and library.  Admission to long-term courses to both the courses is conducted through NIELIT entrance exam. So, the choice from either of the colleges can depend on the choices and preferences of the students.

NIELIT Ajmer offers a total of 16 UG Diploma courses across multiple disciplines. Students seeking admissions in any of the NIELIT Ajmer UG Diploma courses must have cleared class 12th with the minimum required marks. While some of these courses are offered on an hourly basis, others are offered for months like 1 month or 3 months. NIELIT Ajmer UG Diploma courses are offered across multiple disciplines like Engineering, Arts, IT, Design, and others. Some of the UG Diploma courses are Advanced Diploma in Computer Hardware Maintenance and Networking (CHM - A Level ), Diploma in Multimedia and Animation Technology (O Level), among many others. The branch to choose for admissions depends solely on the interest and choice of the students.

Admission to long-term courses at NIELIT Ajmer is conducted through the NIELIT entrance exam. NIELIT stands for the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology. Along with meeting the eligibility criteria, students seeking admissions in the long term courses at NIELIT Ajmer courses must clear the NIELIT entrance exam.  NIELIT Exam is conducted at the national level by the institute itself as the exam conducting body. The NIELIT exam is conducted every year for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses under the titles as Non-Formal Courses - O Level, A Level, B Level and C Level. The NIELIT exam is being held twice a year, probably in January and July.

The admission to BTech and BTech courses has been started through JEE Main. Additionally, the institute has released the Round 1 seat allotment result wherein B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Internet of Things, Cyber Security including Block Chain Technology) closing rank stood at 47166 for the General AI quota.

Moreover, the JEE Advanced Counselling 2024 was conducted in six rounds for admission to the BTech and other UG courses. The JEE Advanced Counselling Process includes steps like registration, choice filling, and paying the counselling fee. Candidates will then be called for document verification, where their eligibility and documents are verified. Based on their ranks, candidates are allotted seats in their preferred colleges and courses. So, it is expected that the JEE Advanced Counselling 2025 will be conducted till 6 rounds of seat allotment. Candidates who are allotted seats in each round of JoSAA 2025 Counselling will be required to choose the options from Freeze, Float or Slide.
