The college has good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: As far as I know, about 60-70% of students are placed in various MNCs or banks from my college with a starting salary package of about Rs. 50,000 a month. Top recruiting Banks like Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, and for MNC companies like Ey, IBM, etc, approach us often. About 80% of students got internships from our college. In the case of B.Com students, the top roles offered are bank manager, chartered accountant, financial manager, etc.

Infrastructure: The campus is the home of the biggest library in the Muvattupuzha subdistrict, smart classrooms, and a digital library. As for sports, the campus is rich with cricket nets, basketball courts, a large ground for athletics, etc., a football court, a volleyball court, a netball court, etc. College is rich with four canteens which provide snacks, cool drinks, and lunch (above average).

Faculty: Speaking of the teaching quality, this campus has excellent faculty members with vast experience. This curriculum is relevant as it mainly focuses on imparting life lessons to the students, which are useful in life beyond the career. Semi-ter exams are a bit hard, but if studied properly, it is an easy hurdle, and the marking pattern is suffocating.

Other: The college provides or hosts a lot of events, scholarships, sports, cultural activities, movie promotions, and sometimes flashmobs. To give a relation to the students and make the campus life memorable.

Nirmala College Muvattupuzha.

Placements: They offer top notch placements for students like TCS, Ernst & Young, ESAF, Federal Bank, etc. Even international enterprises from the Middle East approach for recruiting students from the college like Al Ansari Exchange UAE. They also tie up with Infopark for placement and internship opportunities for students.

Infrastructure: College has all the basic amenities for students within the campus like ATM, Kiosk, Digital Lab, Theatre, Research Centres, Library and there is also a South Indian Bank Branch within the campus which gives easy accessibility for students. The college has IGNOU Centre, Football Stadium, Air conditioned Conference and Seminar Halls.

Faculty: The teachers are young and friendly with students. The course offered by the college is based on Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam syllabus. Since, the college has attained autonomous status, they have autonomy on exams. They mainly focus on skill development and practical knowledge enhancement instead of theoretical knowledge.

Other: The college has a good reputation and history in Kerala. The college union conducts Events and DJ Party for students. In terms of sports, the college has good records in Football. Recently, it was declared as Green Campus by District Collectorate.

This college provides good education and placements.

Placements: More than 95% of students were placed in our college for this B.Com course. Many banking companies like SBI, PNB, and HDFC recruit students who had acquired the skills and knowledge along with the completion of this course. The average salary offered was Rs 15,000 per month for fresher, and students can get a maximum as per their qualifications. Almost 85% of students got placed in many banking companies, and also many companies like Infosys and Wipro visit our campus to hire students who had passed B.Com. The roles offered were sales executive for loans and various clerical posts.

Infrastructure: Our college provides a good collection of books for each topic a student needs. The classrooms were well furnished, and it was accompanied by a smart class. It provides hostel facilities for boys and girls. The food served in the canteen was good. Medical facilities and sick rooms were provided at each department. Extra curriculum activities such as sports and games were appreciated by the departments.

Faculty: Teachers were knowledgeable, and they were ready to clear any doubts when students need. They take their maximum efforts to bring the best out of the students. They not only teach the books along with that they try to give moral education to students. The course was relevant all the time. Semester exams were conducted regularly, and the exams were hard which makes the students study in a deep and better way. The pass percentage was 40%.

Other: I opted for this course, because it prepares students for the corporate world and to face the competition in the business world by acquiring knowledge about finance. Practical training should be provided for students to face the various areas in the real world.

Satisfied with the faculty.

Placements: The college does not conduct any placement activities for B.Com students and they are not taking responsibility for their placements. None of my batch members were placed from college. If you want to get placed after B.Com you should try it by yourself.

Infrastructure: The classrooms and library was big and good enough. But Wi-Fi facilities are not given for students and the lab is also good. Library is a four storeyed building with lots of books. The computer lab can be improved as internet connectivity is not there all the time.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are qualified. But the curriculum is not relevant. They don't get updated. One of the major drawbacks of college under M G University, Kottayam is that they don't update the curriculum regularly. Therefore students are not industry ready.

Other: I was interested in business and companies. That's why I took this course. The curriculum should be updated. But it is the responsibility of University and not college. We had many events, fests and extra curricular activities in college.

If you want an enjoyable college life rather than placements, you can join Nirmala College.

Placements: None of the students got any placement offer. The college doesn't focus on giving placement opportunities, as every student would prefer for higher studies. Even some small banks visit our campus for placements, where no one get selected as it was mixed recruitment from almost 3 to 4 colleges.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good and advanced. But the college hostel is not that good at providing good facilities. The college is still working on its infrastructure, and we can see a lot of development every year. The college spent a lot of money on developing infrastructures and to make campus beautiful recently.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are qualified and helpful. But the course curriculum is not career orientated. You will get only textbook knowledge. Even there is no presentation learning experience. Teachings are all about one-way communication, and you can expect spoon-feeding rather than self-understanding.

Other: The college is not interested in conducting management fests.

I really satisfied with our college.

Placements: Below 50% students only get placements. Our senior also got below 50% placements. Many campus recruitments are available. College authorities are very helpful to know about campus recruitments. They will permit to go anywhere, for campus recruitments.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very attractive. The college provides many facilities. The free Wi-Fi option will be available shortly. There are 2 to 3 labs available. A big library is available. The special one is the digital library. There is one media centre.

Faculty: All the teachers are very helpful in academic activities. They will clear all doubts, and we can easily or freely ask any doubts. The teachers are very good. I think the course curriculum is very good to me. The teaching method used is old one. They only follow the old one.

Other: There are many events, scholarships, extracurricular activities etc. are available in the college.

Join if you have enough money and time to waste.

Placements: They don't even bother, whether their students get placed or not. There is a placement cell office, but they only bother about MCA graduates more, B.Com and other students are ignored. There are three blocks self-governing, MCA and regular. More importance is given to the regular and MCA with a prejudiced mind for bright students.

Infrastructure: Bad infrastructure when we were studying. But now they are improving, using the old student's money. They are cutting down the trees to build more blocks and money is spent on that and not for improving the conditions of the existing buildings. The senior students had to suffer a lot.

Faculty: The faculty members are inexperienced freshers in the self-governing blocks and the talented ones in the main block. It should be the other way around. The self-governing block has more weak students. I highly doubt whether the faculty members even have an M.Phil. I once asked a teacher the meaning of fiscal deficit, he said it is related to the physical activities not marketing.

Other: The college was well known for its greenery, but they cut down a rather large amount of trees just to build more self-governing blocks. Money minded.

Nirmala College - A heaven for studies.

Placements: Many students got placements in our college. The lowest Salary offered is 6000 and the highest is 42000 per month. The interviewer is measuring talents of the students for selecting them. Many companies visited our college. The placement cell of our college is very active. Different roles were offered to the students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is fine. All the facilities are available for students. Labs, library, sports ground and fields of all games are available too. Our library is the biggest library of our university. The hostel facilities are available as well. Vehicle parking facilities are available. Good food is available in the canteen.

Faculty: My experience with the faculty members of college is very good. They are helpful. The teaching methods are good. The course curriculum is very useful. I got Industry exposure too. The teachers are well qualified for teaching.
