The National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh was established under the NIT Act by MHRD, and the Government of India in 2010. Earlier, the National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh was functioning under the mentorship of NIT Durgapur. National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh is known as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament. At the undergraduate level, the college offers BTech programmes to students. National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh is ranked 126 by NIRF 2023 for BTech. As the institute is fairly new, it is understandable that it will take some time before it builds a similar reputation as other top NITs. It has a decent infrastructure and the library has a wide range of books spanning over various topics. The faculty are said to be knowledgeable, helpful and amazing at their work. Students pursuing the BTech course at the institute can expect an average package of INR 8.75 LPA.
