Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and college life.
Placements: Hello everyone, if you go to check the placement stats of the Biotech branch, it is quite low, but the reason behind it is that many of the students do not even qualify or are eligible to sit in the interview for campus placement. The reason is simple: low CGPA. If you are a good student and continue to study efficiently after joining college, then biotech also has a good choice and placement, but you have to work hard; it is one of the growing branches that improves its rate of placement every year.
Infrastructure: Facilities are very good. The only thing is that till now, the infrastructure is not up to NIT level, but new buildings are under construction for new classrooms and hostels also. A central library is also there, and the classrooms are decent. Hostel facilities include mess food, games, and I am not sure about Wi-Fi because I am a day scholar.
Faculty: Faculty are very good at their work and teach very well. They are not very strict. As I am a 1st year student, I have concluded that our curriculum is relevant and the 1st year syllabus is the same for all branches. Exam patterns are fixed. Each semester, they conduct two exams, mid-semester and end-of-semester, which are also not very difficult if you study well.
Other: Actually, I didn't choose my branch/course according to my rank. It was the only branch in my college that I was eligible for.

Living a good college life at NITRR.
Placements: Placements in this college are quite low in my department, which is Biotechnology. The placement percentage is 29 percent, according to some websites, but that is not so true. I think it is less than 20 percent, as I am not sure about that. The highest package offered is 13 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 4.3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is quite good, as I have visited the college of my friends, which does not have many facilities, like here. The hostel is available, but we can get it if we score a good CPI in the semester. Only a few students get a seat in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, obviously, as we are at a national-level institute where only students who have cracked the JEE get admission. It is very tough to get admission in an IIT or NIT. They are also helpful. If we have any doubts, then they will solve them after the lecture covers. I don't know about the relevance to the curriculum. Semester exams are quite easy in the first semester, but I got a supplementary in Maths, which I have cleared now.
Other: Students can take admission here if they are getting good branches, because placements of other branches are good.

The college has very good infrastructure.
Placements: My name is Sheelu Saini, and I am in the Biotech branch of NIT Raipur. The total number of students in our batch is more than 1000, and in our course, the number of students is 80. I don't know the exact percentage, but in our course, it is very low. I don't know too much about the placement right now, but I will surely ask our seniors about this.
Infrastructure: Our academic building is good and has a classical shape. It was started in the year 1956 by the President of that time, Dr Rajendra Prasad. The facilities are good. We have many water coolers in our college. We have a lift in it for going to other floors. There is a central library in our course. The hostel food is okay, which means you can have it without any vomiting.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. They have too much knowledge about their subject and its real-world use. Our course makes students ready for the industry. Students can work in labs. The semester exams are not too difficult for those who have studied well, but can be challenging for those who didn't study, not even before exams. There are 2 exams in every semester.
Other: I chose this course because I was not sure about leaving my home state. Companies should also visit our branch.

Good infrastructure with a strong network.
Placements: Hello Shiksha, this is Harsh Singh Rajput from Raipur (Chhattisgarh). I am pursuing B.Tech in biotechnology from NIT Raipur. The placements of our college are pretty nice. The average package of CSE lies between 10 and 11 LPA, whereas the biotech placement lies between 6 and 7 LPA. The placement in my course is not too much because there are no companies to visit our college in our area.
Infrastructure: I like the infrastructure of our college, but many people do not like it because of less campus area of our college. My college is just 100 acres, which looks very small for a top government college. There is a library where a lot of books are present, and students can do self-studies if they want. The hostel facilities are good. The food quality is also good, the mess timing is 1 pm to 3 pm for lunch and 7 pm to 9 pm for dinner.
Faculty: Faculty members are pretty impressive, I guess. They don't care if you are late to class, just sit and give attendance. But they are highly qualified and educated from IITs and many famous colleges of India. There are 3 exams in every semester. After 1 month of the start of the semester, there will be mid-semester exams, and after 3-4 months, there will be end semester exam, and after that, there will be a practical exam.
Other: If you are thinking of taking admission in this college, please go ahead.

Nice infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: I am Prachi, from Bhilai (CG). I am a student of NIT Raipur, Biotech branch. The placement in our course is not as good as it appears on online websites. Last year, only 4 students got placed in the whole class because no company visits for the biotech field. The highest package was 17 LPA in Biotechnology.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good for me. There is a sports complex in our college where students can play whatever they want. There is a library and Wi-Fi available for students to use if they want. The hostel facilities are up to the mark, and the mess food is also hygienic. One star is cut because of hostel shortage.
Faculty: The faculty members of our branch are all highly talented and qualified in their respective fields. There are 3 exams, including practical exams: 1 mid-semester, 1 end-semester, and 1 practical exam.
Other: I chose this because I was getting only this college as I belong to CG.

The college is not that good for lower branches.
Placements: Hello, this is Amogh Srivastava, B.Tech in Biotech, 2nd Semester. The placements of our college are pretty good as compared to other colleges. It provides great opportunities to the students who are interested in Non-Core fields. But the placement in Biotech is too low. The highest package offered in the college was around 57 LPA, and the average package is 9-10 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is not the best. As compared to Tier 1 NITs, it comes under Tier 2 NITs. Most of the students are from Chhattisgarh, as NITs have home state quota. There is a library where Wi-Fi is available and smart boards in the classroom. The hostel food quality is good, but it has a shortage of hostel space.
Faculty: Teachers are absolutely helpful. In terms of qualification, a few of them have done their Bachelor Degree or Master’s Degree from IITs and NITs themselves. Our course makes students ready for the industries. There are 2 exams per semester: 1 Mid-sem and 1 End-sem.
Other: I opted for this course because it was the last option I was getting.

Studies at NIT Raipur Biotechnology.
Placements: Since I am from the Biotechnology branch, our branch has a very low placement percentage. But in other branches, there is a good placement percentage. The average package of our college is 11.1 LPA, and the highest is 57 LPA last year. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Microsoft, TCS, and many more.
Infrastructure: Our college has good infrastructure. There is a library with 2 Wi-Fi connections, students can use it if they want to. Hostels are nice, and the food is okay. There is a dispensary so that students can buy medicine.
Faculty: As I said, faculty members are good at teaching, and their knowledge is god-level. Many of them graduated from IITs and NITs. They are helpful, if you have any doubt, you can contact them, and they will provide a solution to that problem. Our courses make students industry-ready. There are 2 exams: mid and end semester.
Other: I chose Bio Tech because I am not getting anything in other NITs. Companies should visit the Biotechnology branch also.

My college life at NIT Raipur.
Placements: Our college provides certain good placements on our campus, and many good companies visit our college like Amazon, Microsoft, TCS, Honda, etc. These companies visit our college every year for their working employees. The highest package is 57 LPA last year, and our average package is 11.1 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is also good. It has Wi-Fi in the college, and every student can connect if they want to connect to Wi-Fi. It has a library and a sports complex. Hostels are good, and our hostel is also nice. It has a mess so that we can eat, and it also has a gym so that students can do whatever they want.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in a way that they will clear your doubts if you have any. Our college makes students ready for the industry because it has a strong placement percentage in core branches. Our college has two exams per semester: mid-semester and end-semester. Mid-semester is of 30 marks, end-semester is of 50 marks, and 20 marks are for TA. My course is biotechnology, and it has too much scope in the future.
Other: I chose this college because it is an affordable institute with a high reputation. Since it is NIT Raipur, it is an “Institute of National Importance.” There is a fest of 4 days called Summer.
