The admission criteria for B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering at NIT Goa for reserved category students includes performance in class 12th/other qualifying examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main). The admission procedure is governed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA)/Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB). As per the cutoff for the General AI category candidates, the closing ranks in round 1 varied between 11696 and 34130. Looking at the cutoff ranks, it can be said that getting admission to NIT Goa at 25000 rank is easy. Though the choice of specialisation would be limited at this rank.
