NIT Jamshedpur is a good option for pursuing B.Tech in Civil Engineering, with decent placements and a the highest package of 21 LPA. Many core and non-core companies visit the campus for recruitment. However, the institute lacks a conducive atmosphere for research and has a relatively easy academic environment. The infrastructure is improving, with new constructions like the world-class diamond jubilee academic building. More than 100 companies from non-core sectors have visited the campus for hiring, and students have been placed in various positions. While the placement scenario may not be the best, it is still a good option for those seeking a job in the field.
