Instead, candidates who sucessfully manage to secure their admission into any of its offered courses become eligible to apply for various government or private scholarships. These scholarship scheme require institute level verification which NIT Mizoram provides through its scholarship module. To apply for central government scholarships, candidates need to go on National Scholarship Portal (https://scholarships.gov.in).
For state level scholarships, State Scholarship Portal is where candidates must fill their applications. NIT Mizoram Scholarship Guidelines
- Detailed instructions for the institute level verification process willbe mentioned in circulars available on NIT Mizoram's website.
- After applying for a scholarship through the NSP/other portal based on their eligibility, scholarship aspirants must submit their application and required documents (please refer to the specific scheme details) for Institute-level Verification.
- Documents requiring institute level verification should be submitted exclusively through online scholarship module integrated with NIT Mizoram's ERP system.
- All students can apply for any number of scholarships in one academic year however, benefits of only one scheme will be applicable on NIT Mizoram fees.
- Scholarship applications, although submitted at NSP but have yet to complete the Institute Level Verification by the deadline, will be considered defective.
The fees for studying B.Tech in NIT MIZORAM is Rs. 95,750 per semester including the tuition fees.
Category Benefits for students.
Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Physically Handicapped gets 100% tuition fee waiver.
Economically backward students (whose family income is less than Rs.1 Lacs per annum) gets full remission of the Fee.
Other economically backward students (whose family income is between Rs.1 Lacs to Rs.5 Lacs per annum) 2/3rd of the fee.
