Admission to the courses at the institute is entrance-based. The institute accepts national-level exam scores (for example, JEE Mains/GATE/IIT JAM). Aspirants can fill out the accepted entrance test application. Further, based on exam scores and performance in the round of counselling, seats are allotted to eligible students in NIT Surathkal.
