A good college to consider.
Placements: Nearly 80 percent of students got placed, and others also did not feel that they were not placed. They went for higher studies. Microsoft was the top recruiter. More than 50 percent of students got internships. SDE was one of the top roles. The highest package offered was 73 LPA for the IT, CS, and CSS branches and 64 LPA for the AI branch.
Infrastructure: Some hostels were good. We were not allowed to use any electrical appliance, not even an iron. Weather was too hot. We were not allowed to bring a table fan. Wi-Fi was available all over the campus with CCTV security. The library was good, with all types of books. Technology-based books were also available. Classrooms were spacious and digitally updated.
Faculty: Faculty of the college was very good. They had experienced professors who guided students in the right way. They were extremely helpful and motivated students to try something new. They were all Ph.D. qualified and had practical as well as theoretical knowledge. They were always ready to clear doubts. The semester examination system included end-semester exams and mid-semester exams. Each semester was 6 months. The course consisted of 4 semester exams. Lab practical tests and viva examinations were also conducted.

Campus life is really good. The campus is full of greenery.
Placements: I'm studying at NITK Surathkal as a mechanical engineering student. Around 80-90 percent of students who sit for placements get placed. The average package is around 10 LPA-12 LPA, and the highest can go above 25 LPA. Top recruiters are L&T, Mahindra, Bosch, etc. Around 60-70 percent of students got an internship through campus or non-campus opportunities. Top offered roles include R&D engineer, Design engineer, mechanical engineer, and production engineer.
Infrastructure: The department of my course is quite big, with many facilities like projectors, big classrooms, and sufficient labs and faculty. For internet facilities, we have Wi-Fi and Ethernet. We have a library for study and supportive faculty. Food quality is decent in the mess, but the night canteen and food court offer good food. For sports, there are cricket, football, and tennis grounds and 2 sports complexes, including space for a gym, badminton ground, etc. For medical facilities, we have an HCC health centre.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, supportive, qualified, knowledgeable, and good in their domains. The teaching quality of most of the teachers is really good and interactive, but the issue is that faculty members are quite strict, especially in the mechanical branch. Course curriculum, according to me, is relevant and makes people industry-ready because a lot of students have achieved good success in their career life. Semester exams are quite difficult but sometimes easy also depends on the faculty members.
Other: I chose this course because it has a lot of future opportunities, as this course is growing, plus I was also interested in mechanical engineering, and NITK is one of the best for that. The best thing about this course is that it makes students industry-ready because it also includes projects and improves students' thinking. Although the course is good for technical knowledge, it still lacks real-world skills like communication, which should be improved. On campus, the best thing is that events, fests, etc., happen very often, which help to reduce academic stress.

Review of National Institute of Technology.
Placements: Nearly 80 percent of students got placed, and others also did not like that they were not placed. They went for higher studies. Microsoft was the top recruiter. Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, everything is fine, but the thing was about food which was good in the specific mess like Satpura, and the remaining mess were also good but not that good. There were night canteens where you could buy and eat up to 1:00 AM. There was a smartbox delivery system where the food came and you could pick up from there.
Faculty: All teachers were highly qualified. The curriculum was not that industry relevant, but from 2nd year it was good. There was not a single criteria for passing. Every course had relative grading, and it totally depended on the course instructor and students no need to worry.
Other: Incident was the best and extraordinary fest in this college.

Strong academics, experienced faculty, and excellent campus life.
Placements: 74 percent of students get placed in the campus drive. The highest CTC is around 34 LPA, and the average package is around 11 LPA. Oracle, Airtel, HDFC, and CITI Bank are the top recruiting companies. Around 80–90 percent of students receive internships, commonly offered by Microsoft, Oracle, and Uber.
Infrastructure: The entire campus, including academic blocks, hostels, and the library, is enabled with high-speed Wi-Fi. The department has well-maintained laboratories. Classrooms are spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with projectors, smart boards, and audio-visual aids.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and generally helpful. The curriculum is well-structured and regularly updated as per AICTE and NIT standards, covering all core subjects. Semester exams are moderately difficult and test conceptual understanding rather than rote learning.

Nice college in Mangalore.
Placements: Internships are provided by various tech companies that come to the college. They offer role which are pretty much what you're expected to get from the college. The time period is for around 2-6 months. The placements are pretty good, with top companies attending them. Companies such as Goldman Sachs, Google, Microsoft, etc., participate in them. The highest package goes around 56 LPA, the average for CSE being around 28 LPA. 95% of them are placed.
Infrastructure: The nightlife is really amazing, the hostel timings are really to our access. The beaches here make the vibe. There are numerous places you could hang out. Gym are open till late evening. There are 12 hostels. In 1st year, triple-sharing rooms are available. In each room, they provide a table, chair, and bed. In the room, they provide Wi-Fi. Mess food is good, it includes all varieties of dishes. Spiritual, dancing, drama. Sports facilities are good, mostly all types of sports facilities are available. There is a huge swimming pool also present.
Faculty: The courses that happen here are just the ones you would get at elite colleges. The courses are top class with the professors who are experts in their subject. 4 years of exams per semester, which are of a moderate level of difficulty. Which comprises 1 midsem, 2 quizzes, and an end-of-semester exam. Faculty to students ratio is about 1:10. The relationship between each other couldn't be any better. The professors are always there to guide and teach you at all times.

Reality for NITK about all the important things.
Placements: Around 80 percent of students are placed from mining. The highest package is 36 LPA, and the median is around 12 LPA and the same for the average. Top recruitment companies are Vedanta, mainly for core, for tech, most of the top companies are there. Internship is bad, it's around 10 to 20 percent. GET is the top core role.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is also good but still needs improvement. Facilities here in our hostel are really so basic and just block 1 is good as per mess and all, so you should try to go there as the facilities are so good you will enjoy.
Faculty: Faculty members are really good, and in mining there is a lot of time to enjoy and explore what you want to do. The career and semester exams, as heard by seniors, are, and when you come to mining you will realise that in NITK it is known as the most chill branch.
Other: I just simply got this course, and all of us in mining have the same scenario, but it's a good branch as I realised it here.

No, BTech at the NIT Surathkal is not that costly. The fees for the BTech course is around INR 5 Lacs and the college gives many specialisations also under its BTech programme.
