Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2022
5.0
The best institute for management with experienced faculty and excellent teaching and learning.
Placements: My college batch was a memorable experience that blended academics, extracurricular activities and personal growth. As for the B.Com course it provided a solid foundation in commerce, finance and accounting in our college. The highest package that was offered in our course was INR 12 LPA and the average package was INR 7.8 LPA.
Infrastructure: NERIM Group of Institutions in Guwahati offers a comprehensive range of facilities and infrastructure to support students enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) program. The institute's library houses approximately 30,000 books covering subjects such as Management, Computer Science, Law, Commerce, Social Work, and Psychology. Additionally, it subscribes to around 55 journals, including international publications like the Harvard Business Review and resources from IEEE and EBSCO.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are really helpful, kind, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching is highly professional and informative. I am absolutely satisfied with the teaching style, placements, and the environment. Yes, it makes the students industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because the B.Com course is a popular choice among students who want to build a career in commerce, business, finance or management. It also has diverse career opportunities.

The overall college is good for studying and only studying.
Placements: About 80% of students were placed in our course. The highest package offered in our course is 12 LPA, the average is around 6 LPA, and the lowest is around 4 LPA. Some top recruiting companies for our course are SBI, HDFC, ICICI Bank, Accenture, Infosys, and Nestle. 30-40% of students were placed in different companies such as Amul, HDFC, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course are quite decent and better. There is the availability of Wi-Fi connections, ACs, fans, better lighting, a supply of books and supplements, computer labs, and clean sanitary facilities. The overall infrastructure is fine and good. The facilities in the hostel are quite minimal. The infrastructure of the rooms is good, and the quality of food is fine—not so bad, not so good; it’s average. The availability of the canteen is provided with medical and sports and games too.
Faculty: The teachers here are very helpful. They are very well-qualified and knowledgeable in their respective subjects. This shows their teaching skills, which are quite appreciable. Yes, the course curriculum is very relevant since I’ve chosen it with my own choice and decision. That’s not sure that it makes the student industry-ready, but it could at least know some basics of it. In my opinion, the semester examinations are quite resilient and fine compared to our high school. The pass percentage is 32%.
Other: I chose this course since I am very interested in the fields of banking, finance, and business. The best thing about our course is that it is basically revolving around the reality of life and competitiveness. The things I wish would be better/improved about our course are that if there were an early facility of practical experiences, other than internships, given to the students, teaching them the real-life experience of working jobs and offices. Our college has a very bare minimum of events or any other extracurricular activities; it almost focuses on studies more than any other activities. Scholarships are available though.

Absolutely satisfied with the teaching style, placements and the environment.
Placements: Almost 50% students were placed and the rest took the opportunity for higher studies. The highest package went up to 8 LPA. Companies like Berger and Airtel were there for placements offering good positions to the students. Many students got placements and joined the companies with good packages.
Infrastructure: All the facilities like lab, wifi, AC, library, classrooms, playground, activities room, etc. are available. The hostel is good, well maintained and hygienic. The campus is big providing a decent environment to the students. The staff is very helpful. Everything that a student requires is made available on the campus.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful and knowledgeable. The curriculum is also very good. The semester exams’ level was good as per the course. Their teaching was very good and practical knowledge was given to the students along with theoretical. All the teachers were highly knowledgeable and were very friendly towards the students.

It is a good college with good infrastructure and teachers.
Placements: Placements provided in our college are good from good companies. Our seniors got good placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities of our college are very good with the proper environment. There are two buildings, one for B.Com and the other for BSW social work, law, and arts. Canteens are well maintained.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are the best. The teaching quality is very good. They encourage students to get a good future and try to engage with their students.
Other: Our college organises good events, fun games, and fests every year. It offers the best courses.

It is an average college and is not much good for placements.
Placements: Around 5% of the students from our course got placed. Wipro was the top recruiting company for our course. Around 50% of the students got internships from our course, and top roles offered in the course were sales managers. Students were satisfied with the roles offered.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of our college are good compared to any private college in Guwahati city. Classrooms have air-conditioners and projector for PPTs, and there is a Wi-Fi facility on the campus. The library is good as the environment is quiet. Labs have super-fast internet facility. The hostel is good with attached balcony and good atmosphere.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and qualified, and the course curriculum is also relevant. Students are lucky to have such helpful teachers who share their experience and knowledge. Our college not only restricted to studies but also gives equal importance to sports, events, dance or cultural events which are held twice in a year.

Great college, but expensive. It is highly demandable and becomes a dream for a middle-class family.
Placements: The placements are good. We get a chance to perform yourself, but the chances are very expensive. This college is much expensive for a middle-class family. This college is good, and I can judge by giving 4 stars for placements. It is very expensive college, so please take action.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. The classrooms are awesome. The lab and library facilities are there, but the worst thing about college is, there are no sports periods given to the students. A student needs sports as well as study. One sports period must provide in each class, so I kindly request you to take action on this.
Faculty: The course is lengthy. The teaching is average. The faculty members are at the high-level cost. I think the same teachings are done in government college also, so they need to perform better. According to me, registration fees in every semester after giving Rs. 20,000 for admission becomes difficult for the middle-class family just like us.
Other: Events are great. The campus looked beautiful. The surroundings are average. The opportunity for scholarships is given here. Football competitions are organised, but we want cricket.

Satisfied with the faculty members and placements are good.
Placements: The placements for my batch was pretty good as 3 best companies came to North Eastern Regional Institute of Management for Bachelors of commerce they were Amazon, Federal Bank of India, and Godrej. Few of my batch mates were placed over these companies, and few went for higher studies in North Eastern Regional Institute of Management. For our senior batch also, these companies along with HDFC and Aditya Birla also came for placements. There were different kinds of roles offered to them. Almost, 50% got placed, and rest went for higher studies.
Infrastructure: North Eastern Regional Institute of Management is a Wi-Fi enabled campus along with one lab for searching and completing any projects and assignments which helped the students a lot. We had a library now they have also built an e-library where we can study online and read any books online. We have 3 canteens. We have all kinds of cuisines. The hostel rooms are good. I faced some issues like Wi-Fi was limited.
Faculty: The faculty members were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. But a few of them were not up to the mark. If I were given to rate few of the faculty members out of 5, I would give them 2. Their communication skills were not up to the mark, but the rest were pretty good. Our batch didn't get any industry exposure, but our senior batch got. So, I can't really comment on this part. The course curriculum was useful. We got to learn a lot of new things in my graduation days.
Other: Events were like Radio Mirchi, and then, there was a Harley Davidson show, fest, etc., in this college. The crowd of the campus was pretty good. No scholarships were awarded when I was studying over there.

Review on North Eastern Regional Institute of Management
Placements: The placements were not that great, they were kind of average. There was no kind of summer placement for the students or any opportunity for internships. Although the placement committee managed to get over some companies for the end semester placement. There were Godrej and Federal Bank who came for recruitment. I got selected for the Godrej interview round but the pay was very less.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of North Eastern Regional Institute of Management is quite good. It has all the modern day equipment for an interesting classroom environment. The classrooms are big and spacious. The library has a good number of books for all the courses but they're not enough. The computer lab is good and all the devices are of recent technology. There are new food courts on the campus offering all types of delicacies which satisfy the taste buds of the students. The girls' hostel is on the campus itself and the boys' hostel is located a little far from the campus. The free Wi-Fi thing they promise you at the time of admission is a hoax. They will never give you the Wi-Fi password.
Faculty: The faculty team is normal, not that terrible, not that great. The vast majority of the faculty are from the youth generation with just a couple of years of experience. The course educational program isn't that great but can relate to the external business environment. The study strategy for most of our course which was used was notes and reference books, They scarcely used Powerpoint presentations for greater experience and understanding. In spite of the fact that I didn't get any sort of industry exposure from the institute related to my course, the course modules by one means or another helped me to understand the industry standards.
