State Anti-Drug and Prohibition Council in Collaboration with the Association of Drug Rehabilitation Centers of Assam Organised International Overdose
September 1, 2023: The International Overdose Awareness Day, observed annually on August 31st, serves as a forum to raise awareness about the various difficulties associated with substance usage. A simultaneous ceremony in Guwahati, where Assam's renowned minister, Pijush Hazarika, enthusiastically participated, demonstrated steadfast dedication. The meeting was graced by the attendance of different luminaries, all of whom were united in their pursuit of a same purpose. Pijush Hazarika, the Assam Minister in charge of Parliamentary Affairs, Water Resources, Information and Public Relations, Printing and Stationery, Social Justice and Empowerment, attended the notable International Overdose Awareness Day campaign. Hazarika was the distinguished chief guest at the programme, which was organised by the State Anti-Drug and Prohibition Council in partnership with the Association of Drug Rehabilitation Centres of Assam. The event was expertly staged on the grounds of the NERIM Group of Institutions, located in the heart of Guwahati.
