The ECE syllabus is not similar in all the Indian colleges. Talking about the first year of ECE, the general subjects taught are almost similar that include Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Chemistry, Computer Programming, and the basic fundamentals of the field to provide a basic foundation for the ECE course ahead. Different colleges follow their own set of guidelines regarding the ECE course curriculum that includes both core and elective subjects along with practical lab work. 

The BTech CSE syllabus is incomplete without regular lab classes and internship programs because of the importance of programming, software development, and AI and ML knowledge required in the CSE field, which cannot be taught only through theory classes.
