All about the PESITM Shimoga.
Placements: Placements are very good. The average package offered is 4LPA, the lowest package offered is 3LPA, and the highest package offered is 8LPA. It is average placement campus. The top roles offered are the manager post, and about 90% of students get placements. Top recruiting companies are SAB and Apple.
Infrastructure: A separate hostel for boys and also sharing rooms are available. Girls hostel is also nearer to it, and there is no matter of ragging and all. Wi-Fi is available on campus, and classrooms are also well maintained. A new building is under construction.
Faculty: Faculty is very good and experienced. They are also friendly with everyone. They teach us till everyone of us understands the concept. It makes students ready for the industry. Semester exams are mid level and the pass percentage is the same as other colleges.
Other: I chose Computer Science Engineering here, and I am currently studying in my first year. Events and fests are held here in numerous. A lot of enjoyment and perfect use of resources in every matter.

It has good core placements, industrial visits, sports, and campus activities.
Placements: 71% of students get placed in the year 2025. 92 students from the final year have already been placed in various companies with the highest package of 5 LPA. Among them, 71 students have been placed in core companies providing internships for 1 year with a stipend of Rs. 20,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Our college has good labs, a huge library, and a separate department library. Food is normal. There are sports grounds for games like cricket, football, and basketball. In the cricket ground, we organise VTU games. Every year, VTU organises many sports events, and in that, our college will get many prizes. Our college students also participate in hackathons in coding at all over Karnataka state engineering colleges.
Faculty: All teachers are M.Tech holders. Some faculty members are teaching well, and some are a little normal. We can pass exams after listening to class and studying during internals. One week before an exam is enough to pass exams. Taking my side as an example, I studied during internals and semester only, which is required to pass with a 7.5 CGPA. Our course does not make students industry-ready because it gives a basic idea about it. But we have to gain more knowledge and do more projects, gain experience, and take related courses outside to get hands-on experience.
Other: I am from the 2022 batch and passing year 2026. I am from the B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering course. I chose this course to get into the core company. ECE is about both hardware and software fields. It gives in-depth knowledge of the main subject. Fest named Prerana is organised, which is one of the best fests, and it conducts sports and other competitions with prize distribution. A DJ night is also organised. It also conducts workshops.

Better results and good placement.
Placements: In our branch, most of all placed in placements. The highest package is 8 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, and Edgeverve. We have attended other startup companies and moderate companies also. We have good communication with CDC, and they are helping with placements.
Infrastructure: In our department, all facilities are available like Wi-Fi, library, classrooms, and labs. Hostel is also good but we have to adjust to that environment. The quality of food is good. Wi-Fi and purified water facilities are also there. Security person and sweepers are also there for cleaning and security purposes.
Faculty: We have well-qualified teaching faculty members, and we get a lot of help from them in teaching and other activities. They are taking us on industrial visit also to improve our industry knowledge. In this college, exams and internal assessments are very strict, and the pass percentage is 90% above.

Review of PES Institute of Technology and Management (PESITM).
Placements: As we had an internship in the 8th sem, in the 7th sem only idea Infinity we gave the interview, and in the 6th sem, we attended Edge Verve. Most of us are selected for different training institutes. I'm only talking about software jobs. We need to put our efforts into campus placements here. Some placement training is also provided by Bizotic.
Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure and facilities but coming to the hostel the food quality is poor. Many times we got insects in price, so with hostel food there should be much improvement. Wi-Fi, labs, library are available and can be used effectively.
Faculty: There are qualified and experienced teachers but we students are not industry-ready as we have only theory and not much practical experience with programming languages. We don't find sem exams as difficult as we can just revise whatever we studied during internals.
Other: The campus is surrounded by greenery. The campus has a good environment.

My college life with good and bad memories.
Placements: 80% of students get placed in our course. The highest package is 10 LPA, and the lowest package is 2 LPA. The average package is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Betsol, Wipro, Infosys, Mphasis, Tech Mahindra, Loginware, and HP visit the college to hire students from our course. It offers courses like computer science, artificial intelligence, information science, and electronic engineering. The college is good at everything except office staff members, and if we ask anything they will get angry.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. All facilities are available, like Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, projectors, labs, and a library with good books. There are strict timings, and we go for an outing on the college bus. Volleyball ball, basketball, and cricket are the main sports in college. The canteen is good and they recently opened a bakery.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready with industrial visits, IEEE workshops, and hackathons. The college is affiliated with VTU. Exams are average and easy. The pass percentage is 60%.
Other: I chose this course because I have a passion for coding. It should provide more knowledge about the future. DJ, cultural fest, ethnic day, sports days, and extracurricular activities like dancing and singing are all conducted. Scholarships are provided. Bus facility is available till 9 PM every day. Surroundings are calm and peaceful.

My college days in PESITM.
Placements: Students are placed in our college according to the requirements of the company. Among 50 students 20 can get placed. The highest package is about 8 to 12 LPA and the lowest package is 1.5LPA There are many top recruiting companies for IT roles like Betsol, Eton, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, TCS, and many more, In my class, a student got an internship in a good company and it is paid internship. There are many roles offered like web development, front-end web development, backed web development, Linux admin, technical support role, and many more IT roles.
Infrastructure: Lab facilities are provided to work Wi-Fi facilities are provided for project purposes and classrooms are very clean and well-maintained. Good library facilities are provided with many varieties of books. The hostel food is not very good, but the sports and games facilities are very good.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good as our branch has a disciplined HOD, students can approach faculty when they have doubts and can get clarification. Yes, the course makes students industry-ready but they must Concentrate on their studies and learning programming language. Otherwise, they must join the course after the graduation. It is not difficult to pass the semester exam. At least can get passing marks.
Other: I joined to ISE branch in PESITM as I got a seat in CET. As the number of students is 60 for the ISE branch many advantages are there for students compared to other branches. The course is good students must have a desire to learn programming language. Many events are conducted like ethnic day, fresher day, cultural days, department activities, and sports activities. The campus surroundings are very good and green, vast. Many stadiums are present and can be accessed for playing cricket, football, running races, volleyball, basketball ball, and many more also students can get a scholarship of Rs.18,000 for this course if applied for SSP.

Teachers are good. The infrastructure is good, but there are no proper placements and training. Placements: Only 15 students got placed from our course. The highest salary package offered is 3 LPA.

If you're aiming to join PESITM (Shimoga) through COMEDK, unfortunately there are no fee concessions tied to COMEDK rank. The merit-based fee waivers at PESITM are exclusively for KCET admissions.
