Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons.) - Batch of 2027

My college is a good place to learn, grow, and explore opportunities.
Placements: Around 70-80% of students from my batch are placed successfully. The highest package offered is around 10 LPA, the lowest package is close to 3 LPA, and the average package is around 5 LPA - 6 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies include TCS and HCL. Many students got internships through college mostly in IT service company.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is well-equipped with spacious classrooms, Wi-Fi, computer, lab, and a library with good study material. Hostel facilities are decent with clean rooms and 24X7 security. It also provides proper water and electricity supply. The mess food is average but hygiene. The canteen offers a variety of snacks. Sports facilities like cricket, football, badminton, and indoor games are also available along with basic medical support on campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, supportive, and explain concepts in a simple and practical way. The curriculum is updated and relevant, which helps students gain industry-required skills. Semester exam is moderately difficult but manageable with regular study. The pass percentage is quite high, and most students clear their exams successfully.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in the subject and good placement opportunities offered by the college. The best part about the course is the balance of theory and practical learning along with the supportive faculty members. The campus environment is lively with culture fest and a diverse student crowd. Connectivity to the campus is good. Scholarships are also provided for deserving students however, improvement can be made in hostel food quality, and more industry-focused workshops could be added.

Absolutely satisfied with faculty, very good placements every year.
Placements: Our college has a strong placement record, as many reputed companies visit the campus every year. From the third year onward, students get the opportunity to sit for placements, and many of them have been successfully selected. Currently, around 30% of the students are well placed in different organizations and are earning well. The companies not only offer various posts but also provide training to students before they officially join the job.
Infrastructure: My college is a vibrant place where academics, activities, and facilities go hand in hand. Apart from quality study material, the campus provides many amenities that make student life comfortable and enjoyable. We have an arcade shop, CozyCove, barber and parlor services, and even a daycare center for teachers who bring their children during college hours. Sports hold an important place here, with regular matches, a grand Sports Day, and opportunities for students to participate in different games. College also has four hostels, and each hostel provides mess facilities with fresh food for the students.
Faculty: Our college has well-qualified teachers who guide us in the best possible way. They make learning easy and effective, and some of them even provide PPTs and study material to help us understand concepts better. The teachers not only explain the subjects but also guide us on what is important from the exam point of view and how to prepare effectively. Because of this, students are able to focus on the right areas. Exams are usually not too difficult, though sometimes one or two basic questions may be tricky.
Other: Because I heard about this college. Providing good study to students. I want more fests and events that help the students with extra activities.

Good faculty, but exams are tough under the nep system.
Placements: I am a B.A. psychology honours student, and above 90+% required for the placement criteria. To be honest, I do not have much idea, but I think 7 to 8 LPA is expected. There were no specific company cases in a different course, different companies came. The percentage of students got internship was around 2 to 3%. They did not go to a higher position, and it depends on their ability.
Infrastructure: Classrooms were good, but no high technology classrooms, labs, or library cases. This college infrastructure was made in 19, so we can analyze that it was not technical about Wi-Fi to be honest, in this college, the internet was not working, and Wi-Fi worked, but only staff members knew the password. There was also a reason Wi-Fi did not work during our college competitive exam. I am not a hostel student, so I do not have much idea, but I heard a lot about hostels from my hostel friends that hostel mess is okay, like there was no fancy something.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, but honestly, college teachers were not like school teachers. If you ask them properly, they will tell you. Course curriculum is helpful, but I am a student of the NEP system, so it was quite difficult for me to pass such situations before my batch. Only 5 subjects exist, but now, from my batch, there was 8 subjects.
Other: I chose this college because it comes the top colleges in Chandigarh, and I want to pursue psychology, so thats why I chose this. I want table 1 in my 2nd year, but I cannot opt for the case of not passing the criteria. This criterion should be topped, as not everyone can pass the criterion, so I hope this will stop for future batches. Our scholarship comes only for SC and ST categories, the campus crowd is good, events and fest happen. If you join the clubs, it will be fun for you, and connectivity depends on you.

"Supportive faculty, industry-relevant curriculum, and manageable exams with good pass rates".
Placements: Actually my college give very less placements but average package offered in B.Com about 3 - 4lakh. Infosys amazon reliance mainly in this companies they give recruitment.40 percent of students got internship in infosys. But for B.Com my college is good in management seminar .
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available, but a good library is provided by the college to all departments. Classrooms are average. The hostel is very good, and the mess food is pretty good sometimes. The canteen is also good. Medical facilities in my hostel are average. Sports and games are not extensive.
Faculty: Most of the teachers were quite helpful and approachable. They held relevant qualifications in their respective subjects, and many had industry or research experience, which enriched the classroom discussions. The teaching quality was generally good, with a mix of lectures, case studies, presentations, and practical examples. However, like in most institutions, the teaching effectiveness could vary slightly from faculty to faculty.
Other: I was part of the B.Com batch of 2025. Overall, the college experience was positive. The campus has a good learning environment, and the crowd is diverse and energetic. The college regularly organizes cultural fests, management events, guest lectures, and inter-college competitions, which help in all-around development.

It is worth it, academically oriented, and supports overall growth.
Placements: In our course, placement opportunities are just okay, not too great, but not disappointing. Around 20% of students get placed. Mainly those who have great technical or soft skills. The highest package goes up to 3 LPA. Internships are stipend-based.
Infrastructure: The college has a decent infrastructure. Classrooms have fans, projectors, and Wi-Fi. There is a canteen, library, and common room. Hostels are good, and the messy food is okay and student-friendly. There are medical and sports facilities. Overall, it is good and worth it.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, experienced, and supportive. Some are strict, while others are easy-going and fun to learn with. The curriculum is more theory-based, which is good for competitive exams. Exams are doable if you attend classes and make proper notes. The passing percentage is around 80%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in public administration, as it provides a strong base for higher exams. Teachers in my course are really experienced. I would like to see more improvement in practical exposure, such as internships and guest lectures. The campus crowd is mostly from hilly areas and is diverse. Connectivity is high during fests, and the campus vibe is more academically oriented. Scholarships are provided.

Postgraduate Government College for Girls.
Placements: Placement cells are there in the college, but they don't provide high-package placements, so I won't recommend this college to anyone seeking a college for high-package placements. Also, only a few small companies participate in these events and select about 3 to 5 students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is excellent; it's a really well-maintained campus with all the necessary facilities. Clean and comfortable spaces are available around campus, classrooms are spacious and equipped, and the library is well-stocked. Overall, the college has all the right facilities.
Faculty: Process of conducting exams is well-maintained. Exams are not really tough if you study throughout the semester. The faculty is great as well, well-spoken, and really helpful. The syllabus is not too vast and not too hard. Everything in the exam hall is arranged according to the needs.
Other: Overall, the college is great, but it won't be able to help you grow much individually.
