B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2018

Our college is not good, and teachers are also not experienced.
Placements: In this college, no one got good placements. Some students got jobs in a battery-making company in Chennai. Our college did not provide any kind of internships, and students need to find jobs at their own risk. They make fake placements interview, and no students got placed.
Infrastructure: Buildings were not well maintained, and classrooms were also not good. Wi-Fi was not enabled on campus, and library was average in this college. The food served in the mess was average, and the hostel management was not good. Canteen and medical facilities were average in this college.
Faculty: Almost all teachers were freshers who do not even know the basics, and every semester management appointed new teachers. Our college teaches theory, and it was not enough for getting knowledge and jobs. Some of the semester exams were very difficult, and the pass percentage was 50%.
Other: Many things need to improve, and management considers students as money-producing machines, and they put a lot of fines on them. There were no proper transportation facilities in this college.

Dissatisfied because of the faculty. Better placements, good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Almost 50% of the students were placed. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. The highest salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Top companies offering placements was rare in our college. Roles were offered according to the students' percentage and their performance. The lowest salary offered in our course is Rs. 15,000 per month. The highest salary offered in our course is Rs. 25,000 per month. Internships are rare in our college. We go to other colleges with our friends.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is good. Hostel facilities and infrastructure are better. Classrooms are good. Library facilities and labs are good. There is a lot of importance given to sports than studies. There are good facilities for sports. The food served in the mess is better. The canteen is good. Medical facilities are available here.
Faculty: There were only very few knowledgeable teachers are available, but others are good. Teachers were very helpful for us during the project, practical, doubts, etc. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make the students industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course to become a software engineer. If we are skilled in this course, any roles can be offered to us. Students should go through some extra notes, explanation, etc., to improve their knowledge.

There are no placements in the college from the last 2 years.
Placements: About 60% of the students were placed. The lowest salary of Rs.15,000 per month and the highest salary of 1lac per month are offered in our college. There are top recruiting companies for our course, but not for other courses. Roles offered in our course based on students percentage in their academics. About 65% of the students got internships in some companies.
Infrastructure: In our department, there is a very nice infrastructure and great facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, department library, etc. There is a good quality of food and good facilities in hostel rooms, etc. The canteen and medical facilities are also good here. The college gives more importance to sports and games rather more than studies.
Faculty: Teachers are ready to guide us and also to help the students for the next level. They are qualified in their profession and also have great teaching quality. They have great knowledge. The course curriculum is related to the industry, and it makes the students industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course as it has a lot of scopes now and also we can gain great knowledge from this updated version of the course. The best thing in this course is it is updated in this modern society. I wish that they improve communication skills and connectivity between us in our course.
