Pune IAT admissions are merit-based. The institute offers BSc programme in affiliation with UniPune. Pune IAT also offers Aircraft Maintenance Engineeringcourse approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India. Candidates can apply online for their preferred course.

Steps for Pune IAT Admission Process 2025

Pune IAT offers admission to courses based on merit. The institute considers the merit of the candidates in the last qualifying exam i.e. Class 12 for BSc and ANM programmes. Below are the steps to get a seat in Pune IAT:

Step 1: Candidates must first fill out the application form available on the official website of the institute. Application form can also be obtained from PUNE IAT, on payment of INR 500 in cash/ by post by sending a DD of INR 600 favoring PUNE IAT, payable at Pune.

Step 2: Aspirants are selected based on their merit. The institute evaluates the application form to confirm the eligibility of the candidates. Eligible students are given admission on first come first serve basis.

Step 3: Once selected candidates receive the admission confirmation letter online or by post. The original marksheets and certificates will be verified by the institute before commencement of the course. Pune Institute of Aviation Technology application process is offline. Candidates seeking admission to all the courses offered by the institute need to visit the campus and obtain the application form and prospectus in-person on the payment of INR 500 in cash. Candidates can also obtain the application form and prospectus by post by sending a demand draft/ cheque favoring “PUNE INSTITUTE OF AVIATION TECHNOLOGY” payable at PUNE of INR 600.

Foreign Nationals and NRI Candidates: Foreign nationals and NRI candidates seeking admissions to the course should submit the necessary attested security clearance document from ministry of home affairs government of India through DGCA. (Original to be submitted at the time of joining).

It is a great college with good placements. It has amazing faculty and facilities.

Placements: I have encounters with people in the actual working field who are from this college, Pune IAT. The course I am doing at this institution is BSc which is an Aviation engineer for aircraft and the demand is high, as the industry is growing we need more skilled staff members. The top role offered is not set however my goal is A.M.E. There are multiple placements from this college. Placements at DGCA as their offices, A.M.E. for different airlines like Indigo, CAMO department, etc.

Infrastructure: Facilities and the infrastructure are superb in our college. Tools and equipment needed for our practical are perfectly polished and frequently calibrated which brings out the quality of the facilities for our practical. It also has well-maintained labs and a clean hanger with 2 aircraft, which help us more with our practical knowledge. There are proper fire extinguishers and first aid kits in each lab. Classrooms are also kept clean. This all eventually helps us in focusing on our studies.

Faculty: The course curriculum is kept as per perfect understanding. They also place the curriculum at a good pace where all the students understand what is going on everything in the class itself. The practical portion really gives us an idea of how it will be in the actual field and industry, which is a great insight for students.

Other: There are great events and fests in the college. Staff members really make a lot of effort to arrange events in the college.

College is so good with all good teaching faculty members and all other facilities.

Placements: 99% of students got placements. Indigo, Air India, etc., are the companies. Science students get placed in our course. The average package offered in course depends upon the capabilities of students. The lowest is nearly about 14 LPA. AME is the top role offered here.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, best practical labs, clean classrooms, library, etc., are available in our college. The mess food quality is so good. Our college also offers NCC for students. Medical facilities are so good. Hostels are clean and safe for all. Sports events are there every year.

Faculty: Teachers are so supportive. All teachers are qualified with all the knowledge. Teaching quality is so good. Teachers are also helpful. This course makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are quite difficult. The passing percentage for A.M.E. course is 75%.

Other: I chose this course because I was interested in this. The best thing is that it is different from any other courses.

Nice college because of its facilities, good placements every year, and good aircraft.

Placements: Every year, around 19 to 95% of students are placed. The highest package in our college is 6 LPA. The lowest package is around 1.20 LPA. The average package of our college is around 3 LPA - 4 LPA. In 3rd year, there will be training in different locations.

Infrastructure: Facilities in our college are electronic lab, electrical lab, hanger workshop, engine lab, and air fame lab. In hostel, there are facilities like gym, parking place, 24/7 water supply electricity, and well-maintained mess. There are rooms of four people sharing.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and have great knowledge in their own field. Our teachers have a great experience. They have cleared modules in their own field. There are total 2 semesters in 1 year in which there will be 2 exams B.Sc and A.M.E. In B.Sc, the passing percentage is 44% and in A.M.E. is 75%.

Other: There are total 4 batches in 1 year. There are total 30 students in each batch.

Placements: 90% of our students are placed from the college in our course. The highest level package is around 1.5 LPA, and the lowest package is Rs 7,000. Top recruiting companies of R code are GMR from Hyderabad, Air India from Mumbai, etc. 100% of students get mentorships by opposes in companies like GMR and Air India Mumbai. Top roles offered in our case, and we can work as a technician.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very well and the course is also well developed. We have all facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, different kinds of labs in jail, for example, in gym, labs or different, etc. Classrooms, corridors, and libraries are well-maintained and clean. The hostel is very clear and also the damage food is ok.

Faculty: Teachers are so helpful and are well qualified. They are also knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is very well. Students are also so cooperative and the features are so cooperative to students. Semester exams are a bit difficult due to 75% passing percentage.

Other: I chose this course because I was so passionate about knowing the structure of aircraft. This course will make me so passionate about my career and my interests. I want to celebrate many events on our campus. Also, we celebrate every function in our college.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty members but not the managers and the campus is also so small.

Placements: 90% of students are placed in this course due to less competition. The package varies from lakhs to thousands according to the CGPA of the student. Top recruiters include Indamar, Air India, and Indigo. 100% of students get internships, mostly at Air India in Mumbai. The office includes categories A, B, and C.

Infrastructure: There are plenty of labs for different practicals, such as the workshop lab, NDT lab, engine lab, battery lab, electrical lab, electronic lab, computer lab, library, Wi-Fi, sense board, and well-organized classrooms. The hostel facilities are good for living, but the food is not great, though it is acceptable. There is no canteen, and the medical facilities are somewhat good. As for sports and games, there is a sports week held once a year.

Faculty: Teachers are quite good because they are also A.M.E., so they are able to deliver the best knowledge they have from their experience. It makes students industry-ready because it involves industrial work. The semester exams are really difficult because the passing criteria for examinations is 75%, which is high.

Other: My dream is to become a pilot, but due to some personal reasons, I need to complete my graduation first, and then I will pursue my dream of becoming a pilot. There isn't much to mention, but the only thing is that there should be at least a 50% passing criteria, not 75%. Other than that, the course is extremely great. Events are not that much, it's only festival-based. I haven't felt any major fest. The campus crowd is not very large because there are only 360 students in the college, but the connectivity is great.

Placements: Almost 90 percent of students are placed. The starting package is not that much because you are starting your training. That’s why companies like Indigo, Air India, SpiceJet, and many more come to our college for job interviews, and it is very nice. The staff is well-educated also.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are neat, smart boards are used, and many more amenities and events are also. The canteen is also neat and clean. Medical amenities, sports, and all activities are always very nice and very much fun, and we are always busy with games and studies also.

Faculty: Teaching quality is so good. The staff is well-educated, and since it is aviation, every teacher is an aviator, so it is very helpful to gain more information about the aviation industry. Semester exams are difficult, and 75 percent is the passing mark. Attendance is compulsory.

Other: The college is very good, and the crowd is also very nice.
