B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2022
3.6
3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Supportive faculty, good hostel, average food, strong exam prep, and above average placements.
Placements: QA / testing engineer when I was in college. It was a tough time, so placements were hard, but still, they managed to get some companies, and I think 20 to 30 students were placed out of 60, and the package was 4LPA. Some after the COVID situation got better, and placement also got better there.
Infrastructure: I was a day scholar, so I do not know much about the hostel facilities, but some of my friends used to tell me that the rooms were good, and the food was not that great. Twice a week, there used to be some special meals. Labs facilities were also good there.
Faculty: The faculty was really good, they kept explaining until you understood. They make even difficult concepts simple. After every unit, there used to be a 40 marks test, then a sessional, and before the university exam, there were two to three pre university tests. If someone studied only those notes that were made during the lectures, they could definitely score well in the university exam, given the way the teaching was.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027

3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good campus, supportive faculty, but placements need improvement for AIML.
Placements: Campus placements for AIML are not great. Only 20-30% of my batch got jobs through college, mostly in IT or software roles. The biggest package is about 8 LPA, but most offers are 3-4 LPA. Top companies like TCS and HCL visit, but most students apply off-campus. Placements need self-effort and networking, not just relying on college.
Infrastructure: The campus is pleasant and green. AIML labs are decent for beginners, and Wi-Fi works fine. The library is helpful, hostel rooms are okay, but the mess food could improve. Timing rules are strict, especially for first-years. Sports facilities are good. The canteen is always crowded.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly and knowledgeable, especially in the first year. They help with doubts, but some are strict about deadlines. The curriculum covers all AIML basics. Exams are manageable if you study regularly. Most students pass, but cramming doesn’t work.

Satisfied with the process.
Placements: Placement in our branch is decent enough with around 70-80% getting placed and 70% getting internships as well. The average salary is around 10-12 LPA for the CS branch, and the highest went up to 90 LPA. Companies like Amazon, TCS, Zomato, Nvidia, and other good ones have paid a visit for recruitment. The potential for placement in college is good, as Nagpur is slowly becoming an IT hub.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Wi-Fi, labs, and classes are all decent and well-managed. Academically, it has been great with all the facilities provided. A sports ground has been made, although it is not in use as of now, and the ground is said to be used for football and cricket mainly. Mess food is a bit lower than okayish, not much to be expected; it's okay for survival.
Faculty: Some faculty members are okay, but some lack the luster, while others show actual dedication to their courses. As far as the curriculum is concerned, it is very heavy and requires determination and not just attending lectures. Self-study is surely required, as the semester exams are difficult for all.

Poor placements, hostel life, average academics, and dull campus environment.
Placements: Very few students from our batch get placed around 10-15 percent. The average package is very low around 2-3 LPA. The highest is 6 LPA and the lowest is 1.8 LPA. Most of the offers come from mass recruiters such as Wipro and TCS and very few core companies visit. Only about 20 percent of students get internships, mostly through personal efforts in small startups or local companies. The top roles offered are mainly support or testing roles. Not core development or technical positions.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very poor. Classrooms are not properly maintained, projectors rarely work, and Wi-Fi is either too slow or not available in many areas. Labs lack proper equipment, and the library has outdated books. Hostel conditions are below average. Rooms are not clean, washrooms are not hygienic, and the water supply is irregular. Mess food is usually tasteless and repetitive, and medical facilities are almost non-existent. There are very limited sports facilities and hardly any encouragement for games or extracurricular activities.
Faculty: Most faculty members are qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive. Their teaching methods are good, and some use practical examples to explain the topics better. The curriculum is quite relevant, covering core subjects, but it lacks some of the latest industry updates. Still, it helps build strong basics. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and students who study regularly can pass without much trouble. The pass percentage is generally around 80-85%. Overall, the academic experience is quite good.
Other: Campus life is dull. There are hardly any cultural or technical events, and no proper clubs or extracurricular activities. The crowd is not very active or engaging, and most students stay in their groups. The campus surroundings are not very clean or safe, and there is nothing exciting nearby. Connectivity is also poor, and transportation is a big issue. I chose this course because of limited options, but the overall experience in terms of environment and student life is disappointing.

It is best for studying rather than other things.
Placements: 80% of students were placed in my course. The highest package is 32 lakh per annum, and the lowest package offered is 6 lakh per annum from companies like Infosys, Microsoft, Google, etc. More companies are recruiting in web development, app development, cybersecurity, etc. Moreover, some students are pursuing careers in civil services.
Infrastructure: The faculty is incredibly responsive and supportive. Discipline is top-notch. The classrooms are neat, clean, and spacious, with air conditioning provided. The hostel food was not very good, but it's okay to eat. The canteen is often crowded and has rude staff.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and possess a wide range of skills and qualifications. They have more than enough knowledge. Yes, the courses prepare students for the industry. All questions and material were understandable. The passing rate was more than 90%. In terms of studies, it is the best.
Other: No function and fest are conducted here limited extracurricular activities are held.

Pretty good faculty, average placements and the infrastructure, and facilities are also average.
Placements: About 60% of students from my course got placed. The highest package offered in my college is around 12 LPA, the lowest package is around 3 LPA-4 LPA and the average package is about 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft and Airtel. 30% of students got placed in Microsoft, 20% of students got placed in Airtel and the rest got placed in the rest of the companies.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi in college but the labs are good and classrooms too. You can only go to library with teachers permission and with a valid reason otherwise you have to attend all the classes. Hostel is below average. Food isn't good but it is clean and you can't stay in hostel in college hours, if you are sick or want leave regarding something than you have to take your coordinators permission and then you have to take permission from the HOD and they will also talk to your parents.
Faculty: Teachers are good, qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. They taught well with some pretty good real-life examples and experiences. The course curriculum is relevant but students still have to study on their own and take certificates before they graduate and then they are ready. Exams are intermediate, neither easy nor tough and the pass percentage is 60-70%.
Other: You get scholarships and the fest and all are good. The only downside is that if you want to go to market then you have to walk for 800-900m to reach the market.
