Bachelor of Commere (B.Com.) - Batch of 2024
4.8
5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good academic base, average placements, and facilities.
Placements: I was a part of the B.Com. Batch of 2021-2024. Around 15% of students were placed, with the highest package being 5 LPA, the lowest being 2 LPA, and the average being around 3 LPA. Top recruiters included Wipro, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Prudential. A few students also got internships in companies like HDFC and Axis Bank. Common roles offered were sales executive, accountant, and back-office support. Decent experience overall, though placement opportunities could be improved.
Infrastructure: The B.Com. department had Wi-Fi, good classrooms, a library, and basic computer labs. Hostel was average, food in the mess was okay, and the canteen had better options. Medical help was available, and there were basic sports facilities too. Overall, infrastructure was decent.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality was good overall. The B.Com curriculum was relevant but more theory-focused than practical, so some extra effort is needed to become industry-ready. Semester exams were moderate in difficulty, and the pass percentage was around 85%-90%.
Other: I chose B.Com due to my interest in business and finance. The course gave a good base in commerce subjects. It could be better with more practical exposure and workshops. Campus crowd was decent, fests were okay, and connectivity was good. Some scholarships were available, and there were limited extracurricular activities.
