    B.Sc. hons microbiology in RLAC.
Placements: We are a strength of 38 students in the class. The lowest to the highest package offered in my course is 2.3 LPA and above. We are recruited for wet hands-on laboratories and in research areas for internships, at hospitals including AIIMS Delhi, etc. Top roles offered in B.Sc. hons microbiology are based on wet and dry hands-on lab work, research, CRG projects, teaching, and lab technician in hospital care facilities.
Infrastructure: Generally, DU doesn't offer hostel facilities and most of the colleges do not have this facility under DU except Shri Venkateswara College and a few on the north campus. Apart from that, facilities in the college are up to the mark. The infrastructure of the college is not much working but the department of microbiology is well-equipped and furnished with all the facilities and requirements of students. All classrooms are equipped with smartboards and smart pens. A medical room is there. We have a sport room along with a sport ground which is shared by Aryabhatta College as well.
Faculty: The faculty in B.Sc. is good and highly qualified in their respective fields. Some are passouts from University of Manchester, and others from JNU, Delhi University, IITs, and other renowned institutions across India and abroad. They teach us using PPTs and interactive boards. Assignments and group presentations are done for our internal assessments. Semester-end examinations are moderately difficult and scores are good for each student as the teaching and learning environment is good.

College has good placements but not in my course.
Placements: If you ask about internships, then the college is good. You will find many internship opportunities in the college. But if you ask about placement then you are not at the right place. For placements, you have to do post-graduation. I recommend it is the best way you can take placements up to 6 LPA but it will be difficult and have no security.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is good. You will get Wi-Fi in every class. The quality of food is not that good, it is average. The playing ground is nice but you have to share it with Aryabhatta College. Both colleges share the same ground. If you like playing badminton then you are at the wrong college because there is no badminton court in the college. But badminton is available. You can play it with your friends.
Faculty: Faculty members are nice. They are all experienced and have great knowledge of their subjects. If you are interested in studies then they will always help you. But the same are the cons if you are not interested in studies, then you will get nothing from that as some teachers are strict too.
Other: Statistics is a growing field. I want to have a career in data science so I have chosen this course. Others are fests in March and April, you can enjoy fests of all colleges of Delhi University.

    Ain't satisfied with this college.
Placements: Placements are pretty low. Not much good companies ever arrive at college and the ones that do only select a few. You are on your own here. Even teachers agree over thus statement that placement is really low over here. If you are here, build your CV with all you have got.
Infrastructure: The building isn't really much, we share our ground. But the labs are good. The whole building doesn't take much space. Toilets are getting better but they are not good as of now. The canteen is good. We get AC in classes so that's good.
Faculty: Faculty members are pretty good. Never thought I would get such sweet and helpful teachers. Few are a lost case but mostly are really good. They try and help you as much as possible so that's a good point about this college. The way exams are conducted is also pretty nice. Teachers are good.
Other: Too much politics, plus it feels like just anyone is there.

Ram Lal Anand College - Review of Geology department.
Placements: Placements are not common after B.Sc. but there are many internship opportunities in companies like ONGC and other petroleum companies. A stipend may or may not be provided, but the experience is worth taking. There is a placement cell available in college that provides new internships every now and then.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good, including Wi-Fi and well-maintained labs in the Geology department. Library is big, with almost all the required books available with digital Kindle. Canteen is okayish, with food varieties available. Medical room and an indoor gaming area are available.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified with a great teaching base. They provide great studying material and a strong base. Geology is a high-scoring and scope-worthy subject, with many opportunities in fields like geobiology, geophysics, geochemistry, petrology, paleontology, etc. Semester exams are fair and reasonable.
Other: This course provides many opportunities in various fields. A more practical approach toward a few subjects can be helpful. Events and fests could be better, but they are not bad currently. Extracurricular activities are available, like dance, singing, and drama society.

Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi - A satisfactory experience in college and campus.
Placements: Microbiology doesn't have good placements, but there are better ones in other courses at the college. In 2024, the highest package was 13 LPA by the Indian Army for the Mathematics course. The lowest package was 60k by Growth Path Mapper, Noida. The average package is 4-5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure – free Wi-Fi is available across the campus, well-equipped labs (one of the best in Delhi University), a vibrant library, and interactive classrooms. The college doesn't have hostels, but there are plenty of PGs and flats in nearby localities, well connected with the college.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and well-experienced. The curriculum is according to NEP 2020 and has a holistic development approach. It includes skill enhancement and ability enhancement courses. Semester exams are easy to moderate. Only subjective questions are asked.
Other: The course is particularly relevant for future employment perspectives. Be it food, pharma, medicine, or environment, microbiologists are needed everywhere. Large-scale opportunities are available both in India and abroad. I know a few alumni doing internships at AIIMS Delhi, National Institute of Virology, Pune, and many more prestigious institutes. Switching to other professions after Microbiology is equally beneficial. The college has a vibrant campus, especially when it comes to events and fests. The fest called SPLENDOR is a three-day-long event, including various performances from college students and a celebrity night. Scholarships under various programs are available.

Overall college is good. You can have good exposure and they have strong Alumni network.
Placements: Cybersecurity related roles. Software engineer roles and analyst positions. Internship is solely depends on the students. If they have skills, they will get an internship. College will try to help in that. They have off campus placements mostly. There strong Alumni network helps a lot.
Infrastructure: Fully Air conditioned facility and Wi-Fi network are good. We don't have hostel. Canteen food is average. Medical facilities is good. Many Sports and games are available. My course is overall good. Sometimes it gets tough, you'll have atleast one tougher subject than other 2 core subjects in each semester, but you'll get that.
Faculty: Difficult depends on students. Teachers are helpful. They will provide every study material and if you need help, they will try to help. Sometimes I think course curriculum is not relevant but the course solely wants to teach many stuff and we have to choose what we want to continue, they'll provide a starting point for that and rest ups to you.
Other: I just had a keen interest. So I chose this course. B.Sc. curriculum try to teach many stuff rather than fixated on a single concept which can be mess sometimes. While I agree that computer Science is a vast course but still, there's many aspects to improve it. Events and fest are great. They provide scholarship on the basis of your academic. While it can also depend on sports. If your team got a rank in major sports competition, they will give scholarship .
