At the undergraduate level, MSRIT offers four-year BTech and five-year  MTech, to students. BTech is provided in 12 pecialisations such as Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and others. At the postgraduate level, the college offers MBA, MCA,  MTech, and other courses to students. The accepted entrance exams are COMEDK UGET, KCET, and others. Students must clear the entrance exams for successful admissions. 

M.S.Ramaiah Institute Of Technology accepts COMEDK entrance exam scores for admission to the BE/ BTech courses. For 2024 admission, COMEDK cutoff has been announced, wherein B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering stands out as the most in-demand course with a lowest round 3 closing rank of 1585 for the General AI quota. The easiest course to get into RV College of Engineering was B.E. in Industrial Engineering and Management which has a cutoff rank of 93650.
