At the undergraduate level, MSRIT offers four-year BTech and five-year  MTech, to students. BTech is provided in 12 pecialisations such as Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and others. At the postgraduate level, the college offers MBA, MCA,  MTech, and other courses to students. The accepted entrance exams are COMEDK UGET, KCET, and others. Students must clear the entrance exams for successful admissions. 

The mode of application/admission after entrance exams and counselling process is offline. Students must submit these documents alongside any other forms or fees at the admissions office.

COMEDK UGET is one of the accepted entrance exams for BE admission at MSRIT. Based on the last-round COMEDK UGET cut-off, BE in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) has been the most competitive stream to secure admission to over the past three years. The institute also offers a BE in CSE (AI & ML) and BE in CSE (Data Securtiy).
