B.Tech. in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering - Batch of 2021
4.2
It has good infrastructure and facilities, and good placements for IT and CSE.
Placements: The core companies are few, but IT companies that come here are in bulk. Most of the students of all branches go for IT jobs. The average package for IT is 3 to 5 LPA. Some companies offer dream jobs, with a package ranging from 7 LPA to 15 LPA. Very few students get dream jobs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are very good. The library, classrooms, labs, and canteen are very good. The college is famous for sports and games and also fests. Various sports leagues are arranged in our college. Internal sports matches are arranged. Other sports leagues like DY Patil T20 are held, where Indian cricketers also play for the teams.
Faculty: The teaching quality is quite good. The teachers are helpful. They support and guide us always. The difficulty of semester exams depends on our studies. One should get 32 marks out of 80 in each subject and an average of 12 marks in internals to pass. The final exams are conducted strictly. It makes the students industry-ready. It also depends on our preparation. If you are in touch with the placement group faculty and follow all the things well, then you will definitely get placed in a good company.
Other: If you are looking for computer courses, this campus is good for placements, and for other branches, it's average. College life is good compared to other colleges. Fests and events are the beauty of this college. During the fest, various big-screen stars are invited. The college has its own stadium, and it is famous for sports.

The placement rate is higher in a pandemic.
Placements: The placement rate just got higher due to the pandemic. Students get placed both in core and IT companies with an average salary package of 3 LPA. Dream companies offer a salary package of 10 LPA. The roles offered are different from company to company and in your interested field. Many internships are offered throughout the course.
Infrastructure: The hostel is not available for male students, but the college hostel mess is amazing. The college offers the best quality food at an affordable rate. The sports complex is great, with numerous choices to play from. The library is every student's favourite place. The library is air-conditioned and quite huge with beautiful infrastructure.
Faculty: Faculty members in our department are very limited. They are well-versed with theoretical knowledge, but real-life industry-based knowledge is to be learnt by yourself. College exams can be just passed by studying a night before the exam.
Other: I have chosen this course for its uniqueness. Events and fests organised at our college give us a great opportunity to explore and enjoy our college life.

The course curriculum makes the students industry-ready. TCS is the mass recruiter.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Capgemini, Adobe, Microsoft, Mirraw, TCS, Accenture, Majesco, Newgen Technology, Tata and Indian Army visit our campus every year for placements. TCS is the mass recruiter.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is not available on the campus. Classrooms and labs are well-maintained. Some classrooms are air-conditioned. Food served in the canteen is good. Hygiene is maintained here. There are 3 canteens on the campus. Legend cafe is very good.
Faculty: Faculty members and their teaching quality is good. Faculty members are industrial level experienced. The course curriculum makes the students industry-ready. You will gain practical knowledge. Teaching quality is way too good as they not only teach in English but keep changing languages so everyone is comfortable throughout.

It is a very good college with good placements.
Placements: In our college, the highest salary package offered was 17 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges from 3 LPA-5 LPA. Companies like Adobe, Capgemini, TCS, Tata, Accenture and New Generation Technology visit our college for placements. Probably 90% of the students get placements through our college placement cell. This college has a good placement cell.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good, and the campus is huge, so if you are bored, you can always hang out on the campus. There are huge playgrounds and stadium. Our college has various sports with all the equipment and also has a gym. There are various labs, and they are well-equipped and clean. They are also very good.
Faculty: You will get theoretical as well as practical knowledge here. I have chosen instrumentation engineering, and this course has good core knowledge and also placements.
Other: This college is very famous for its technical and cultural events. Horizon is the best event in our college, which is a 3 days event. Our college conducts DY Patil Cup match every year.

Good placement in 2020 and infrastructure. Helpful and supportive faculty.
Placements: Even though I've completed my B.E from instrumentation department, I got the opportunity to attend the software drives as well. Placement cell provides proper training for the technical background students in coding so that we can attend and clear the software companies aptitude.
Infrastructure: We have e-classrooms, every classroom is soundproof and has projectors. There is a central Library which is common for every department, along with this every department has its own departmental library as well. For sports and games a student committee is present. We have proper medical and canteen facility.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. They are helping and supporting. Every batch get their own mentor with whom they can share their problems. Every month the students also have a class counsellor meeting in which their doubts are discussed.

Amazing infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Top recruiting companies are TCS and Capgemini, placements for core instrumentation jobs is very rare. Average salary offered is 2.9 to 3.2 LPA. Top roles offered are trainee software developer, trainee analyst and business development associate. Summer internships are organised annually for students to get hands on experience.
Infrastructure: The campus is well-equipped with state of the art infrastructure. The campus has various labs and smart classrooms for all departments (branches). There are many cafeterias in the whole campus including garden cafe and legends express cafe (24 hours).
Faculty: Teachers vary from decent to good but the main problem is the course curriculum (set by Mumbai university) which is very outdated and concentrates more on mugging up topics than actually understanding it. The college recently became a private institute under D Y Patil University.

Excellent choice. Just be sure to work on your overall development and turn out to be a leader.
Placements: From the students who actually wanted to be placed and got in the drive cycle, around 85-95% of students got placed. The highest package is around 16LPA and the lowest is 2 LPA something and the average for my department lies in around 3-4 LPA. The top recruiting company here will be TCS for sure. All the students who applied in companies got the internship including a TE who actually got an oversea internship, so you can see the range is quite good. Companies vary from google to Indian railway, depending upon where the student applies. Mostly the offers made by companies are in IT field due to the lack of core companies but the core jobs that do come are mostly in plc designing and similar maintaining and control based operation.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is the best. I can't pinpoint any other college who have such a good facility for the instrumentation department. All classes are comfortable with smart teaching. Libraries carry a large number of books including the membership of different papers like IEEE and many more for project study and excluding this, every department has its own departmental library. So there is no chance that you need a book and you don't get it here. Labs are actually equipped with the smaller version of all the industry equipment where you actually get hands-on experience. The hostel is pretty difficult for male students and that's the only reason I gave 4 stars although the infrastructure is beyond 5 stars. But sport, canteen and medical facilities are provided by the university itself. All medical facilities are free for any student in DY Patil hospital. There are actually more than 3 canteens through the university. And well for sports we have DY Patil sports academy including a gym and many other facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful to us. They not only help us with the curriculum but also with personal turmoils if any. Maximum are postgraduates and have deep knowledge about the topic they are teaching. Teaching quality is way too good as they not only teach in English but keep changing languages so everyone is comfortable throughout. Including curriculum, there are also workshops conducted within the department to make students more familiar with current demands of industries.
Other: I'm not going to lie but my father chose this course for me. But, now as I look at the merits of the course then it is still growing field, it hasn't been saturated with respect to the market. You still have a lot of opportunities with respect to other fields. The only thing that could be better is the spreading awareness of the same. Can't pressure more on this point, the fest and events happen here are really on the biggest scale one can imagine. There are regular alumina meets so that students can keep connecting with the pass outs who have turned their life around and can help you with the same. There are many committees following the industrial pattern with the post of responsibility to give you first-hand experience in the afterlife of college and grow the leader within you.

It is a great college to balance both studies and co-curricular activities.
Placements: Placement processes here are completely subjective to the students' personal goals. In our college, there are three main types of companies that come here, i.e., coding-based software and IT companies, core-based namely for electronics, electronics and telecommunication and instrumentation, sales and marketing consisting of both pure sales and digital marketing. Apart from these three major categories, sometimes companies with unique requirements show up, like content writing, a testing engineer for gaming companies, and companies are also looking to provide jobs only to female students, etc. Our college provides paid additional training programs like soft skills and mock interviews, but you don't necessarily have to enrol in them, nor they guarantee you anything. Some of the major companies that conduct their placement drives are TCS, Capgemini, Johnson Controls, Nvidia, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan Chase, Byju's Learning App, Performix formerly Convonix, Ubisoft and at least 30 more companies. The ROI, i.e., Return on Investment, is about 80-100% easily, but it could also go up significantly higher if you're capable enough and possess unique and useful skillsets.
Infrastructure: All the laboratories are well-maintained, and the classrooms are very modern. All the classrooms are soundproofed, retro-fitted for air-conditioner compatibility, have projectors and some smart classroom interactive connections. Wi-Fi is available everywhere within the building and is free to use for the final year students, but you can access them by applying for a connection if you want to access it for your projects and such regardless of what year you're in. It is also a good college if you want a lot of extra and co-curricular activities, but you can any other college if you are highly focused on your grades. Sports facilities are world-class, and there is a dental facility adjacent to our college building. A general hospital and specialised medical centres along with a medical school are also available within the campus, which is at a 5 minutes walkable distance. Our college canteen is very good, and the food is also very good. They have almost everything at a nominal cost. There is also a canteen at the underground level attached to the polytechnic area. There is an ambient garden cafe, a cafe area on a lawn, and food served there is average.
Faculty: In every institution, there are both good and bad faculty members. Faculty members of our college are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. However, everyone is not helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. There are a few bad faculty members in every department. If you are expecting to score high and ace your academics, then you will be doing with or without them. They help you with your projects, especially during your final year. There is a good balance between the quality of the faculty members despite their methods, and they always end up helping you in the end.
Other: College life here is very vibrant and colourful. There are many events all year long, and students will never get bored of their college. Every day there will be technical committed, cultural committee of our college named Kalaraag, Social Wing, sports or just a hangout place. In this college, most of my character development happened.
