Good placements, supportive faculty, and vibrant campus life with scope for curriculum update.
Placements: Around 80 to 85% of Computer Engineering Students at RAIT, Navi Mumbai, are placed annually through campus drives. The highest package is 32 LPA, with an average of 6 to 8 LPA and a minimum of 3 to 4 LPA. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, Accenture, LTI, JP Morgan, Barclays, Amdocs, and occasionally Microsoft, Amazon, and Oracle. About 70% secure internships via campus, alumni, or startups, gaining practical exposure. Common roles include Software Engineer, Data Analyst, Web Developer, and Cloud Engineer. Festivals like Horizons and societies like IEEE enrich student life, blending academics, exposure, and campus vibrancy.
Infrastructure: The Computer Engineering department at RAIT, Navi Mumbai, has modern labs like Mac and Siemens labs, updated hardware/software for AI, ML, and Cybersecurity, spacious AC classrooms, and a resourceful central library. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled and shares with DY Patil University broader facilities like a gym, playgrounds, and reliable medical access with DY Patil Hospital nearby. Hostel facilities exist mainly for girls but are costly, while boys prefer PGs, mess food gets mixed reviews. Sports and recreation are strong, with access to the DY Patil Stadium, gym, and pool. Overall, academic infrastructure is excellent, though hostel/food feedback is average.
Faculty: The Computer Engineering faculty at RAIT is highly qualified, with many holding PhDs, and is approachable, supportive, and interactive. They use smartboards, presentations, and guide projects and research. The curriculum is industry relevant, covering fundamentals along with AI, ML, Data Science, and Cybersecurity. It is practical, with projects, coding, and modern tech exposure. Exams are moderately difficult, testing understanding, with internal assessment making them manageable. The pass percentage is above 90%, thanks to supportive teaching. Overall, the department blends theory, practical, and guidance, making students confident and industry ready.
Other: I chose Computer Engineering at RAIT because of my interest in technology, problem-solving, and career opportunities in AI, data Science, and software. The course provides a strong foundation in hardware and software, with labs, projects, and subjects like AI/ML, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. Placements are strong, with students joining reputed IT and product firms. Faculty are supportive, and clubs like IEEE and CSI enhance learning. Fests like Horizons and Infinite Loop, plus a vibrant crowd, make campus life lively. Improvements in canteen facilities, internships, and syllabus updates would make the experience better.

RAIT is one of the best colleges, and I am currently studying here. I'm a proud RAITian.
Placements: In RAIT, there is 100% placement. Every student gets the opportunity to work in their dream job. The highest package offered is 43 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 6 LPA across all fields. The most in-demand fields are AIML, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and core IT branches. Nearly 100% of students get internships at various companies like Deloitte, Amazon, and Google Pay.
Infrastructure: Every facility is provided to every student, with delicious mess food on time. RAIT is very clean compared to others. There is 24/7 electricity. The labs are equipped with multiple ACs, and classrooms have digital boards to make learning faster and easier to understand.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They take 3 internal assessments as revision before the semester exams. The exams are difficult, but the way teachers teach ensures you never fail. The course makes us industry-ready, by the end, you just need to revise, and you’ll remember everything. Professors are friendly and clear each doubt.

Review of Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology, Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Navi Mumbai.
Placements: 93% of students were placed in batch 2023, & 80% students were placed in batch 2024. The highest package was 21 LPA in Cisco; the average package is around 4.7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, TCS, Oracle, Carwale, Cisco, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley. Roles offered are software developer, QA automation, business analyst, and cyber analyst.
Infrastructure: There are multiple specialized labs for all subjects & domains, like cyber security labs, big data analytics labs, blockchain labs, robotics labs, and cloud labs. Hostels are good but little expensive foods are of premium quality. There are 4-5 canteens on campus and offer a wide range of dishes. Sport's & medical facilities are also available, as DY Patil Hospital is inside the campus only.
Faculty: Teacher's are highly qualified, have done their PhD, and some facilities are doing their PhD from IIT's. The course curriculum is relevant and is updated as per company needs and requirements. Semester exams in college are of moderate level, easy to score 9 CGPA or more.
Other: The college was near my house and my siblings were also studying in that college and I have gotten positive feedback from them about the college. Events and festivals hosted by the college are appreciated; you can see that on their Instagram handle. you'll get to explore all the things on the college campus, like singing, dancing, theater, sports, and mentorship from faculties.

I cannot assure you as the cut-off percentile is usually high for computer science. You can try for other branches. You should apply for computer science as well as some other branch because it also depends on the no of seats left after the respective round.

It would be better to prefer IT directly in 2nd year instead of taking admission in 1st year. Computer has a higher cutoff so preferably apply for both but in my opinion 1st year is slightly difficult, so why waste a complete year.
