B.Tech. in Instrumentation Engineering - Batch of 2017

It is an average college, so don't expect much.
Placements: About 10% of the students got placed from our college as there are no placements for academically average students. This thing always lacks in every college. Percentages and DGPA don't matter for jobs as all matters are experience and knowledge. But we have very low experience and knowledge because we are busy in completing not useful documents things. Less students got internships because of not having a reference. But academically average students failed to get a simple job. I feel regret choosing this engineering course.
Infrastructure: Classrooms were average, but the library was decent. They charge internet fees even we were not allowed to use. Overall, it is an average college, but it is also fine if they provide good quality education. The best part of our college was our decent canteen as we had all the memories there, and it is an entertainment place.
Faculty: Some teachers here were inspirational, while some were the worst. Most of the teachers only focus on our attendance more than knowledge. Practical labs were available just to do timepass and complete assignments. However, there are decent benches. I had the best friends in our batch, and they provide support in every aspect.
Other: I thought that engineering has much scope, so I have chosen this course.

Our college has great infrastructure, but placements are poor.
Placements: About 5% of the students from our course were placed. The highest salary package offered was 2 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered was Rs. 85,000 per annum. The top roles offered were trainee engineer, process engineer, etc. The average salary package offered was around 1 LPA. About 75% of the students got internships in several engineering colleges.
Infrastructure: Earlier, our college was located at Kopar Khairne, which was a run-down building with poor infrastructure. However, our college was relocated to Ghansoli. Computer labs here are efficient and well organised.
Faculty: Staff members here have different skills. New staff members are being recruited every couple of years, while the old staff members are being removed. Few teachers were really qualified and were eager to teach the students. But the new faculty members who were recruited had poor talent and skills. This poor management greatly affected the internal marking structure and overall capabilities of the students. The course curriculum should be updated.
