All medical colleges are good but this medical college has a good environment and beautiful weather.
Placements: Generally, in MBBS, there is nothing like placement.
After MBBS, some students start preparing for their PG course and some choose to work as tutors in medical colleges.
As a tutor, they get a salary of nearly 70,000.
All students have to do their internship with their respective college hospitals; it is mandatory by NMC.
Infrastructure: There is a well-developed lecture theater, full-equipment labs and the library has a large number of books with wifi.
In boys hostels, each room has 3 beds and 3 almirahs.
On the college campus, there are 3 mess, which is average and they all charge 4,000 per month, which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
On campus, there is a volleyball court and badminton court.
There is an annual function in college, which we called UNMESHA, which contains several sports and cultural events.
Faculty: Professors are very helpful and well educated; they are all doctors; their teaching skills are too good.
In this course, after completion of the internship, we can serve as MBBS doctors at government hospitals , CHCs, and PHCs.
Semester exams are not that easy. You have to study hard because the syllabus is wast.
Passing percentage is 50% in each subject, including your practical exams.
Other: It's my father's dream to become a doctor. In this course, you have to study hard so that you can treat patients well.
The hospital is always filled with patients. As I earlier mentioned, their is an annual festival called UNMESHA.
There is scholarship for the state domicile student, not for All India Quotes students.
Students having reservations (OBC, EWS, SC, ST) get scholarships nearly around their college fees.

Satisfied with my college and course.
Placements: After qualifying the NEET UG exam, only you have been admitted to the MBBS course. After you have completed your degree, you can get various government jobs, like medical officer in the government of Odisha or the government of India, with a starting salary of 8 lakh per annum. Also, campus placements are there, like juniors and tutors. After MBBS, you become a doctor .
Infrastructure: Well-equipped with an AC classroom, a lift for going to the upper floors, a highly equipped lab and research done in the lab. 24/7 library facilities are available for students. The hostel provides lifts, hygienic washrooms, and three-bedded rooms with a bed, a chair, a table and a cupboard. The mess food is average but if you don't want that, there are many restaurants nearby that deliver the food to the hostel. A badminton court and a volleyball court were there for sports activities .
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and have a wide diversity of knowledge. They also have many years of experience. Yes, of course, after MBBS, the students became doctors, which helped make the health industry better. Semester exams are moderate; a little exam pressure comes. 50% is the pass percentage .
Other: In my batch, there are 125 students. I chose the course because it became my dream to become a doctor. Events and fests are celebrated with a great crowd and are enjoyable; connectivity is by bus, train, etc. Various scholarships are provided by state government, like professional scholarships and post-matriculation scholarships. Yoga and sports activities are done.

SLN Medical College, Koraput, is the top 4th medical college in Odisha.
Placements: As it is a medical college, there has been no problem with placements till now. Everybody will get placed after the 1st batch is out after 2023. Students get jobs through OPSC, UPSC, or they can choose any JRship or a contractual basis. They can get a PG seat through NEET PG.
Infrastructure: There is good infrastructure for all students and teachers. The hostels and quarters are good like other medical colleges in Odisha. They are well supplied with water and electricity. There is high-speed Wi-Fi all over the campus. The weather here in Koraput is the best part to live here. It is actually very good throughout the year.
Faculty: As this is a new medical college and also located in a remote location, the college lacks faculty members. But the faculty present are supportive of students. The curriculum and exams are good like in all medical colleges and are conducted by Berhampur University.

It is a good medical college with good infrastructure and advanced facilities in Odisha.
Placements: It is a government medical institute. Our college provides almost 100% of placements as there is a lack of good doctors in this state. All the students have to complete a 1-year internship with the government after completing the course. For the MBBS course, it is one of the best medical colleges in Odisha.
Infrastructure: All types of facilities are available, from basic to advanced. Our college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, laboratories, practical halls, a cafeteria, and advanced digital classrooms. The quality of the food served is good. It is a medical college, so medical facilities are good. A wide range of sports is played on campus.
Faculty: All the teachers are doctors with many years of experience. Their teaching quality is excellent. Our college follows the CBME course curriculum. All the students are prepared as per the guidelines. Semester exams are conducted on time. Our college has a history of a 100% pass rate.
Other: An annual function named Plexus is organised with a high number of participants. It is very enjoyable on campus.

Affordable medical education with strong clinical training in a developing campus environment.
Placements: Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College, located in Koraput, Odisha, offers the MBBS program with an annual intake of 100 students. The course duration was 5.5 years. After MBBS, students typically did internships in the same college and received a stipend of up to Rs.30,000 per month. Junior resident salaries ranged from Rs.60,000 to Rs.80,000. 100% of students got placed for internships. Top recruiting sources were government medical services, PG entrance exams, and private hospital positions. The top roles offered were junior residents, house surgeons, and medical officers.
Infrastructure: It offered students well-equipped lecture halls, laboratories, and a central library with medical journals and internet access. The hostel facilities were modest, with shared rooms, basic furniture, and 24/7 water and electricity. Hygiene was maintained. Overall, facilities met students' needs.
Faculty: Teachers were qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive. Most faculty members held postgraduate degrees. The course curriculum was relevant and made students industry-ready. The semesters were moderately difficult, focusing on both theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. The pass percentage was generally high, around 85%-90%. Most students were well-prepared and supported by the faculty.
Other: I chose the MBBS course because I had a strong interest in medicine and a desire to serve people through healthcare. The best thing about this course was the deep understanding of the human body. I wished the course had more advanced practical exposure in the early years and better access to modern diagnostics.
