B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2028
3.0
Placements and infrastructure are disappointing but the curriculum and faculty are good.
Placements: The amount of students getting placement seems to be low. The highest package was around 15 Lacs p.a. and the lowest 2-3 Lacs p.a., average being around 6 Lacs p.a. Mercedes was a recruiter last year, bringing the highest package. Honestly, only a few students get internships in this course. After graduation, mechanical engineering offers many possibilities including Aerospace engineer, automotive engineer, and many more, landing high-paying jobs in various companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. The classrooms are well-designed. But it only has one library which might get crowded sometimes. There is only one canteen available, hence it gets really overcrowded during lunch hours. Network is a big issue and there is no Wi-Fi available on campus. Labs are also average since all the necessary instruments and machinery are present but it's outdated. The hotel is not bad, the rooms are spacious and the mess's food is not that good. The college does offer sports but it's really limited.
Faculty: The teachers are good. They are qualified and really helpful. However, I personally don't like their teaching style, lectures seem really dull. The course is affiliated with GTU so it is relevant. It has all the necessary basic materials to make a student industry-ready. The exams are difficult and the passing marks are 40%.
Other: I was always passionate about machinery since a young age which led me to choose mechanical engineering. The course is really complicated. It needs to be revised and some of the things need to be removed. The college does host fests often.

It is the private college in Gujarat because of facilities and infrastructure.
Placements: In SAL Institute of Technology Engineering and Research, there are a total of 105 students enrolled for placements in 2021, out of which 41 students got placed. The highest package offered was 2.4 LPA. The college's top recruiters are TCS, BYJU's, ABP News, The Woodbridge Group, Alpha Nine Marine Services, ABG Shipyard Limited, ZYDUS etc. In my branch, mechanical engineering, 73 companies came for placements.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are always clean and are in very good condition. The college has a library with a huge collection of books. A canteen is available. Sports and games are organized every semester. Medical facilities are good and available near every classroom.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good, and the faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable. They not only teach us, but they motivate us and tell us ground reality of industries to make preparations for upcoming problems. Semester exams are not much difficult because the teaching makes exams easy.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because I have been interested in engines and their work since childhood. The best thing is that machines reduce human efforts, which is a revolutionary move in human history. I wish that innovation should be done in mechanical engineering to solve ground reality problems. Events, fests and extracurricular activities are arranged by our college. My friends and I enjoy a lot.

This college is above the development.
Placements: The campus offers employment and internships for the earlier pass out students, there are average packages are offered by national companies, but the packages in starting are very poor, like Rs 10,000.
Infrastructure: It provides average structure and nothing special, there are 4 colleges in one campus, there are also fees different between these colleges, but they provide the same education in all college, so there is no meaning to college different higher and lower fee according to their college average.
Faculty: I would rate 4 stars because the faculty members are very responsive to their students, which is a good thing, the staff is also very acknowledged, but there is poor management of faculty members confirming to the different colleges, and exam preparation is average.

The overall experience is amazing.
Placements: Almost 70% of the students were placed, the highest package offered was 10L from byju's with an average package of 1.5L. Some of the recruiters were Byju's, Maxxis Rubber India, Cognizant. There are several roles offered, but the most common role was Graduate Engineer trainee.
Infrastructure: The facilities like library, Labs, Comp lab are in good condition with proper equipments. There is no Wi-Fi in the campus. The canteen is the best part of the college and almost everyone hangs out there throughout the day. The prices in the canteen are reasonable.
Faculty: The teachers and professors are helpful. They have a great knowledge about their subjects with industry experience. The curriculum is quite relevant, but it needs a bit of revision as the industry is changing very fast. The teachers are really helpful.

I am absolutely satisfied because of faculty members and good infrastructure provided here.
Placements: Almost 60% of the students get placed from our college, but I don't know about the average salary package offered to students in placements. Top roles offered in our course are floor in-charge and supervisor. Many companies visit our college for recruitment.
Infrastructure: Our campus is very good and has very good infrastructure. There is a library, football ground, basketball court and a ground for cricket. The campus has good parking facilities. The canteen provides food at very low cost, and the quality of the food served is also good.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are very good at their work. Their teaching skills are also very good, and they are very co-operative and helpful. They all have a good and very helpful nature, and they are ready to help at any time. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready.

It is an above-average college.
Placements: Around 60% of my batchmates got placed through on-campus placements. The highest salary package of 2.6 LPA-3 LPA and the average salary package of 1.8 LPA-2.0 LPA and the lowest salary package of 1.5 LPA are offered. Top recruiters for our course are Alpha Marine Engineering, Kappa Industry, TATA Motors, Woodbridge Foam India Pvt Ltd and Maxxis Rubber Industry. Above 60% of the students got internships from our college. Initially, all companies hired students for trainee engineer. After some time, they offered roles like junior production engineer, maintenance engineer, junior design engineer, lean manufacturing related, junior marine engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Some of the facilities available in our college include huge classrooms and department wise all subjects labs. Major labs had good facilities to practice. There is no free Wi-Fi zone, but a general huge computer lab was available for free internet access. There was also a library where major subject books and reference books were available. The sports ground was available, which includes cricket ground, football ground and volleyball ground. Our college also has a gym with some basic facilities. A new huge canteen was built for all courses like MBA, engineering, pharmacy on the campus. Basic medical facilities were also available. Sports kits were also available within the campus, but they are not allowed to take to home. Stationery stores were available, which were very useful.
Faculty: Mostly, all professors had a master degree or PhD from well-reputed universities like CEPT, IIT, Nirma University, etc. Some professors also have an industrial background. There are very supportive professors in terms of clearing any doubt, in assignments, projects, exams and classroom doubt. Overall, I had a good experience.
Other: Our batch was 2nd batch after starting college. I am from mechanical kind of background, so I chose this field. Before taking admission, I visited my college and saw labs, facilities and feedback from students. Our college celebrates different days, festivals, and even it organises a technical festival, culture festival, also celebrity night and Garba night during Navratri. The campus connectivity is also good as it is located in a good city area. It is easy to reach there through any public transport, and the bus service started for students. There was continues improvement during my tenure in many areas like infrastructure, facilities, staff members, teaching skills and all, so now it's better than our time.

It is a good college with supportive professors, but I am disappointed with placements.
Placements: The placement cell of our college provides good placements opportunities but with less salary ranges from Rs. 10,000-25,000 per month. If students got selected, they will be appointed as a permanent employee. Internships are not provided by companies. Majority of the companies which visit here offer marketing roles to engineering students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is just above average as it was a hospital a few years ago. There are no air-conditioners in classrooms. The library contains most of the reference books, which cover every branch offered in our college. Currently, there is no hostel facility in our college. Our college is active in providing different opportunities for sports and cultural activities. The canteen is good with a daily shuffling menu to provide different tasty food every day.
Faculty: Teachers in every course are highly qualified, and even some of them are PhD holders. All the professors are experienced with good teaching techniques and provide extra support to students those who face difficulties. The course curriculum is good, but teachers put the extra burden on students by providing lengthy assignments.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because I have an interest in that field. The best thing about this course is it covers the basic topics of all different branches like IT, civil, etc.

For me in Ahmedabad it's pretty good college and facilities are awesome specially in mechanical.
Placements: Very low students are placed by college and salary package are average according to me around 1.5 Lacs per annum which is low after studying mechanical engineering and company are like Amazon and Some local company came. And our college is not good for placement they took money for registration for placement and then after they allow to set for placement which is not fair so many students haven't attached that college campus placement.
Infrastructure: In sal college of engineering campus is big cause in that campus actually there are three college in side 1 sal college of engineering, 2 sal research & institute and 3 sal institute of technology. All engineering department are there library is big enough for students and labs are average Wi-Fi is not accessible out Side computer labs which is again down side. Canteen is big and food is not good but chain is super over there and in canteen mass is there but that was so costly.
Faculty: Yes teachers are helpful in my mechanical stream and all faculty are highly qualified and knowledgeable in my batch which is 2015 to 2019 teachers are pretty good. Some of the practical are curriculum relevant but not that much. And that don't make students industry ready.
Other: Well I chose mechanical engineering because of my father business and I interested in mechanical engineering. I wise our college have good management and it have to improve. I must say that our college have best scholarship for bright students and when it comes to extracurricular activities our college has best tech fest, sports week, Navratri celebration.
