B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2026

I am disappointed with the poor faculty, fake placements, and average facilities.
Placements: Placements are not high. Many students are unplaced. The highest package is 10 LPA. The average package ranges from 3-4 LPA. The lowest package ranges from 2-3 LPA. No big brands come to hire students. Mostly small or local companies visit the college. There is no proper system for internships. Students have to find them on their own, and the college doesn't even give an attendance if we miss classes for our internships. No such top roles are offered in my course.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are nice and well-maintained. There is no Wi-Fi for personal use, and it has only limited access for official work. The library is also decent. Hostel rooms are average. Food in a mess is sometimes tasty and sometimes not. I never saw a medical room in my college, so I do not have an idea about it. Sports facilities are great.
Faculty: Some teachers are not even qualified to teach. Honesty, 1 in 20 is a genuinely good teacher. The rest do not appear to know the subject well. Many just read slides or dictate notes without a real explanation. Overall, teaching quality is poor and not very helpful for learning. The course curriculum is mostly outdated and doesn't fully match current industry requirements. We will have to learn most of the real and practical skills on our own. Semester exams are not very difficult, and the pass percentage is high. If we just prepare from past papers or notes, passing is easy.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in the field and thought it would give me good career opportunities. The only good part is that labs and classrooms are decent. Things that I need improvement in are teachers and the syllabus. Events and fests are not very exciting. The campus crowd is not very active in terms of academic or technical clubs. Connectivity is easy. It also provides bus services. The campus surroundings are not decent. I don't have any idea about scholarships. Extracurricular activities are limited and mostly student-driven, with not much support from the college.

Good placements and facilities with active campus life.
Placements: Around 80% of students got placed. The highest package was ₹21 LPA, the lowest ₹3.5 LPA, and the average around ₹5.5–6 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, and Accenture. About 60% of students got internships at companies like TCS, Bosch, and local startups. Popular roles offered: software developer, QA engineer, system analyst, and support engineer.
Infrastructure: Well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, reliable Wi-Fi, and a good library are available. Hostels are clean with basic amenities. Mess food is average; canteens offer better variety. The medical room is active 24/7, and sports facilities like gym, playground, and courts are available.
Faculty: Most teachers are qualified, supportive, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good, especially in core subjects. The curriculum is mostly relevant, with topics like AI, Data Science, and Web Development included. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, and the pass percentage is above 85% with proper preparation.
Other: Chose this course due to interest in teaching and coding. Best parts include practical learning, supportive faculty, and active coding culture. Needs improvement in industry exposure and internships. Campus life is vibrant with fests, clubs, and good student diversity. Well-connected, safe, and scholarships are available.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure at Indus University, especially for the B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering department, is quite robust and student-friendly. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art computer labs, high-speed Wi-Fi across the campus, and smart classrooms with projectors and modern seating arrangements. The hostel facilities at Indus University are satisfactory. The rooms are generally clean and furnished with basic amenities like a study table, chair, cupboard, and fans. The hostel buildings are Wi-Fi enabled, allowing students to study even during non-class hours.
Faculty: Faculty members of the B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering department at Indus University are generally well-qualified, holding M.Tech or Ph.D. degrees, and bring a mix of academic knowledge and industry experience. The course curriculum is aligned with current industry trends, covering essential topics such as Data Structures, Web Development, AI-ML, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, and Full Stack Development. Semester exams are moderately challenging. They include a mix of internal assessments (assignments, viva, mid-sem exams) and external university exams.
Other: I belong to the B.Tech (Computer Science and Engineering) batch of 2025 at Indus University, Ahmedabad. I chose this course because of my strong interest in technology, problem-solving, and the growing demand for software professionals in today’s digital world. The best part of the CSE course is the practical exposure we get through hands-on lab work, live projects, internships, and industry-aligned electives like AI/ML, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity.

It has good placements, supportive faculty, and a vibrant campus life.
Placements: Students secure roles like software developers, data analysts, web developers, and cybersecurity analysts. Top recruiting companies for our course are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Amazon, and Adani Group. The average package ranges from 5-6.8 LPA, and the highest package is 30 LPA. Around 80-90% of students get placed through campus drives. Students appreciate the university's dedicated placement cell and industry tie-ups, which help them get roles in reputed companies across various tech domains.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities at Indus University are satisfactory. It offers clean rooms, Wi-Fi, and 24x7 security. The mess provides hygienic vegetarian food, and the taste is average. The canteen offers snacks and fast food. Medical care is available on campus with doctors and emergency support. Sports like cricket, football, and badminton are encouraged, with regular tournaments and well-maintained grounds for students to stay active and healthy throughout their academic life.
Faculty: Semester exams at Indus University are considered moderately challenging. The end-semester exams are more rigorous than the mid-semester ones, requiring thorough preparation. The university maintains a pass percentage of 40%, aligning with standard academic practices. Faculty members are supportive, and students who attend classes regularly and engage with the coursework typically find exams manageable.
Other: I was part of the B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering batch at Indus University. I chose this course because of my interest in technology, programming, and the growing scope of the IT industry. The best part about the course was the practical exposure through projects, industry tie-ups, and internship opportunities. The course curriculum was updated regularly with subjects like AI, data science, and cybersecurity. However, there is scope for improvement in the availability of advanced lab equipment and more industry-driven workshops. The university hosts events like tech fests, cultural festivals, and hackathons that bring a vibrant energy to campus life.

Honest review on Indus University.
Placements: Indus University provides various placement programs for students. These programs help students choose their desired placements based on preferences and references. These programs also help build student's confidence and guide them positively toward their career goals.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of Indus University is very nice. There are canteens, a garden area, a huge auditorium and sports fields. The labs are equipped with high-processing computers and AC. The hostel is clean, big and hygienic. The hostel food is tasty but only vegetarian options are provided for students.
Faculty: The faculty at Indus University is friendly and cooperative. They assist students in clearing doubts and completing assignments. I am currently studying computer science engineering and the class size is 70. The exams are moderately difficult with papers prepared by external faculty members, and practical viva exams are also conducted by external faculty.
Other: Various events are organized by the college for every festival and fest. Student-run clubs manage and organize these events. Indus University provides strong support for event management and organization.
