Excellent infrastructure, 100% placements, and state-of-the-art facilities.

Placements: At Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies (SIMS), in-house placements are offered to the parent company ESM. Therefore, everyone is placed in the college. Placement percentage is 100%. Most of the cadets get stipends in the range of 300 USD to 700 USD. In my course, all get an equal stipend of 400 USD. All cadets are placed at the parent company, ESM. As mentioned above, no internships are provided and placements are 100% assured by ESM. All students are offered the role of cadets in their respe...

Review of Graduate Marine engineering from the Samunder Institute of Maritime Studies.

Placements: This college is having decent placements for the GME course. Around 30% of the students get placements at this college. The average package offered at the college was between 4-6 LPA. The top roles offered in our course were junior Marine engineer, gas engineer, QC engineer, etc. Students were not getting internships at this college.

Review of Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies.

Placements: Students in our college become eligible for campus placements in the final year of their degree. It's in the seventh semester of B.Tech. Many companies offer placements here, like Maersk, British Petroleum, ESM, M.Sc., etc. The average salary package for the job is around Rs. 1 lakh starting per month at the junior level, which is more than enough. Almost 100% of students get placements, and there is not a single student who doesn't. My plans after getting my degree are to complete my internship...

It has good infrastructure, good faculty members, and hostel services.

Placements: All students get placed in their own company, which is ESM, or executive ship management. The waiting time has increased a little bit due to COVID, but there is a guarantee of 100% job placement in the company.

I am satisfied with the college.

Placements: Our college provides placements to all cadets. No matter what's your rank. The only thing that depends on rank is the order of getting the ship, except that, it gives placement to all the cadets. They teach you everything before going to ship so that you are well prepared.

You are eligible to join the B.Sc. Nautical Science course in SIMS (Shipping and Marine Studies) only if you meet the academic and physical requirements. Most of the universities or institutes that provide this course require at least 60% in PCM in board exams.
