B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2026
4.2
SVNIT is a national-level college.
Placements: 60 percent of the students were placed in electronics and communication engineering. 15 lac per annum is the highest package, and 7 lac per annum is the lowest package offered in our course. The top companies are Google, Meesho, Mastercard, Microsoft, etc. 20 percent of students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: There are different classrooms for different-year students in each batch. And for different courses, there are different buildings. Like for chemical engineering, different buildings are there. Hostels are provided for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students, as well as for M.Tech students.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable; they are masters in a particular field of study. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. The difficulty of the semester exam is medium, and our college pass percentage is 98.
Other: Our batch is made up of 75 students from different states of India. The name of the cultural fest is Sparsh and the technical fest is Mindbend.

Overall experience in this college is nice.
Placements: Almost 70% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 9 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS and L&T. The top role offered in our course is Job Post. The highest salary package offered is 9 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA and the average salary package offered is 3 LPA in our course. Nearly 40% of the students got an internship.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in our college are the best. Classrooms are clean and settled. We have a large library and air-conditioned labs with Wi-Fi connection. As I am not a hostler, I don't know much about that. But sports and games activity are well managed.
Faculty: Teachers in the college are highly qualified with PhD and are knowledgable, and the quality of teaching is good. In our college, teachers making students industry-ready.
Other: The syllabus of our course should be improved because it is outdated as per new technology. The equipment we use is not in use anymore. The college organises various events like Vision, Spandan, Prakash, etc., and also sports activity like Spark and other international dance competitions.

The college offers excellent infrastructure and services. I would rate 7 out of 10 to our institue.
Placements: About 65% of the students were placed in campus recruitment from the beginning of our batch. The average salary package to fresher was around 3.6 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infotech, Matrix Telecom, etc., are the recruiting companies of our college. About 50% of the students from our department attended internships in various companies like L&T, Hi-Mak, etc.
Infrastructure: Different departments of our institute consist of 6 classrooms,12 labs and a hall for presentation purpose. Classrooms are well-equipped with benches and other necessary requirements, and a separate room is allocated for students in need of a medical emergency. Our institute participates in almost every state-level tournament of every sports category.
Faculty: Professors in our institute are somewhat overrated. Undoubtedly they have excellent knowledge about their job, but they lack in sharing that knowledge to us. Some professors succeed, but some don't. They expect us to learn things in 6-7 months, but they are learning that for 10 years. The course curriculum is good.

I'm absolutely satisfied with the teaching methods and well-equipped labs.
Placements: Placements for 2015 batch took place in September 2018, and more than 150 students were recruited. Placements were better this year as only 139 students were recruited in the previous year. The highest salary package offered was 8-9 LPA by Byju's learning app, and two students were selected. The lowest salary package offered was about 1.6 LPA. Companies that visited the campus to offer placements were TCS, Rangtech, Intel, Jacobs, Cygnet Infotech, ERDA, Byju's, Collabera, Kentech, FLYdocs etc. Roles of employee, trainee, executive director, managerial, etc., were offered. Around 40-50% of the students got internships from the college. There was actually no fixed stipend for internships as most of the internships were for learning and training purpose. However, some students got a stipend of about Rs. 1,500 for 3 months and regular attendance was required for internships. There is a dedicated placement cell in our college called T&P cell and also an entrepreneur development cell which are active throughout the year.
Infrastructure: SVIT was established in 1997. Although the infrastructure is old, timely maintenance is done throughout the year. Now, there are different buildings for each department of engineering, architecture and MCA. Classrooms are well-equipped with fans, benches, and tube lights, but A/C facilities are not available. Labs are well-equipped with all the equipment. The latest equipment is not available, but they are efficient and sufficient for students. There is also spare equipment to replace any faulty or broken equipment. There are more than 40 computers in each department, and they are well equipped with LAN and internet connectivity. The library is one of the most important parts of the college, and it is well maintained and supervised. Its atmosphere is good for students to study, and it has almost all the latest magazines, newspaper, study materials and knowledge books. Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the campus, but we have to register for it via our laptop Mac address. Sports are an essential part of our college. Different sports like cricket, badminton, football, volleyball, basketball, kho-kho, carrom, hockey, etc., competitions are conducted at state and national levels. The canteen serves only vegetarian food, but the quality of food is good. The canteen is the most enjoyable spot in our college. There are no hostel rooms on the campus. However, we can find many good hostels nearby.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well educated and have a very good experience in teaching. They are qualified and have good knowledge. Teachers are helpful and have a good understanding with students. They are very friendly and strict as well. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:22 in every class. Roughly 3-4 industrial visits are organised for every department throughout the year. We have been taken to different industries like Hitachi Hi-Rel, GSFC, and different power plants. During these industrial visits, we were given proper guidance about how the manufacturing and distribution process takes place inside the factory and companies. Since the use of AI has increased, human labour has decreased which is helpful to complete contracts and orders on time for companies. There are two semesters per year and eight semesters in four years of the course. The syllabus is covered before GTU examinations and viva.
Other: A national event like Prakarsh is conducted in the college every year. Along with that, other activities like an annual day celebration, sports week, intra-college events like Aavishkar and Vision, cultural programs, social welfare programs, etc., are also organised.

The best college for engineering
Placements: Many companies come to our college for placements. Every year, many students be a part of them and get a good job. Companies like TCS, Reliance, L&T and many more come to the college. Above 50-60 companies come each year.
Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities to every student as well as faculty member like Wi-Fi, health centre, etc. There are all the sports activities held on the college campus and ground. Our library is good. We can find all the types of books there.
Faculty: Our college is a private or SFI college so it's strict than government colleges. But all the faculty members are very good. The teaching methods of every faculty member are good and easy to understand. If you have doubts, you can go to the teacher's room and ask them. You can learn anytime. All the faculty members finish their syllabus on time. All are knowledgeable, qualified and have experience.

A one stop career point with extraordinary faculty and a beautiful environment to study in.
Placements: Placements at SVIT are quite good. Multinational companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Tech Mahendra, Einfochips and many more visit the campus regularly. The lowest salary they offer is around Rs. 2.8 lacs per annum. There is no bar on the highest salary. It is according to your performance in the aptitude tests and personal interviews. The average package would be Rs. 3.5 lacs per annum. Around 40% of the students from our batch get placed in various companies. The roles they offer are an assistant engineer, senior engineer, etc. There are high chances to get an internship in the companies around your city with reference of the institute. You will get a minimum of 3-5k of stipend for the internship period. The highest can be in the range of 8-10k per month.
Infrastructure: It has a lovely infrastructure with a calm environment. The labs are highly equipped. Clean classrooms. A wide range of books is available in the library. They have e-library too which contains thousands of books available on the go. It has a sports department too. Grounds for cricket, football, volleyball court. The indoor games court includes table tennis, carroms, chess and many more. They arrange a sports week every year with really awesome competitions. The canteen is superbly maintained with hygienic food with all the varieties. A small cafeteria is there too. They have a medical facility room where you can get a quick treatment for the basics. No infrastructure issues are there.
Faculty: A superbly talented faculty is the only thing a student has dreamed of, and the institute has very generous and superior faculty members with a vast knowledge. They will guide you through each and every aspect of your career. The student to faculty ratio is very good i.e. 10:1. The course curriculum is fantastically helpful.
Other: You will love to develop your career here. The technical festivals are an added advantage. They conduct two big technical festivals every year which contain lots of technical games in each stream. They contain technical workshops from renowned tech gigs. Lots of other colleges come to participate in this festivals too. It's like a technical celebration no less than Diwali. They provide transportation facility from Ahmedabad and Vadodara for the ease of the students.

A decent option for Barodians if you don't want to leave your house, good rankings and placements.
Placements: The placements for this year have been moderately well. The batch senior to us was offered decent jobs with CTCs up to 4.50 lacs which is quite nice given the market this time. Companies which visited include TCS, Tech Mahindra, Linde, Capgemini and a few more. Most of them being MNCs, the job profile offered is nice. The placement percentage would be anywhere around 40-55% of the eligible students.
Infrastructure: Upon first sight, the infrastructure would not strike as something extraordinary but it is fairly doable. The college isn't as huge and vastly spread as some NITs or even PDPU for that matter, but comprises of all the required facilities if not more. The size of the campus is ok, not clustered with a feeling of being in college everywhere (which is nice if you ask me). Wi-Fi access is granted across the campus with facilities like a digital library and the primitive library being the best in Vadodara region under GTU. Labs are nicely maintained, where the equipment are updated regularly, if not, the look and feel of the laboratory. Special attention to sports is given with activities conducted round the year, main being that sports week which is a week long sports fest where everyone from administrative staff, to faculty members to students compete. Medical facilities are available, though nothing out of the ordinary. The food in the canteen is fairly nice, with a lot of options so you should not find yourself repeating dishes anytime soon.
Faculty: The course curriculum is decided by Gujarat Technological University, so cannot really complain or review that under SVIT, Vasad. The teaching here is doable, with some implementation of smart classrooms and the faculty members trying hard to match the theory with a practical application. Most of the faculty members you come across are helpful and understanding but there is always a catch, not all are as good as you think. Some will have other ulterior motives but one can find its way to work around here. Most of the faculty members are qualified with some industry expertise. We have quite an industry experience when we are taken to visit once or twice in a semester. The student to teacher ratio is around 55-65:1, which if you ask me, is not that bad personally.
Other: The college being in a small village on the outskirts of Vadodara can be a problem sometimes. The college provides buses for commute and excellent state transport buses are connected too. Being outside Vadodara, it is a little over the top partially towards the locals but nothing that would bite.

All about SVIT. A college to fulfill all your dreams.
Placements: Good placements. Many companies visit and on-campus placement is very easy if you have good academics. Companies like Cognizant, TCS, Collaboration, Tech Mahindra, etc. recruit the students. Bulk placements in all companies. If one is technically strong then he/she may get multiple offers also.
Infrastructure: Semi-circular building. Big ground for outdoor activities. Big garden for extra curricular activities. The administration and classes are quite big. Spacious canteen. The food is also very good. Bus parking is also available. The college is near Mahi River and it is close to the highway connecting Vadodara and Anand. The labs are well-equipped with all the required tools for technical knowledge.
Faculty: There are various types of courses available in like electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, IT and architecture. The faculty has good knowledge of the subjects and they all are very helpful. The faculty also provides good training to all the students.
Other: A very good college compared to other colleges nearby. One of the most preferred college in Vadodara and Anand. Linked to the main highway so transport is easily available. The college is surrounded by farms and other areas which are open and are a part of the village named Vasad.
