LDRP-ITR - A place where your placement worries will be taken care of.
Placements: In terms of placements it stands out compared to other colleges from Gujarat which belong to the same league (Colleges with an average to a bit above average cut-off). The placement team continues to support for a long term (Even after 2 years of your graduation you see mails popping in from placement team). Companies like LnT, Capegemini, TCS, Emphasis, Polaris come up. Average package offered is 3 Lacs and the college receives close to 100% within a year of graduation. The highest package offered is 8 Lacs.
Infrastructure: In terms of Infrastructure it is a bit on an average side. Library can be expected to be short of books many times, though they are striving hard to meet the needs of students which is a good thing. In terms of sports there is a TT Table, Mini Gym, Carrom and Volleyball Court. Classrooms and Labs are just above average. Food in canteen is also above average while plethora of options just outside the campus gives food a thumbs up.
Faculty: The faculty members here are domain dependent. EC department saw a huge dip in terms of faculty standards as some very good faculty members had left the college. Faculty members are above average for other departments. EC faculty members need a boost big time as they lack teaching skills.

Placements: The placement opportunities are best for Computer and IT students. Even the ECE department students get many opportunities. There are a couple of core engineering companies coming in for the Mechanical and Electrical department students. Tech Mahindra, L&T and Patni were the major recruiters. Top recruiters are Adani Group, E-Clinical Works, E-Info Chips Limited, Essar Limited, L&T Infotech, etc., Overall, placements are very good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure looks modern, good and the spaces are well planned. The campus surroundings are quite green and healthy which is helpful for studies. The college atmosphere is pleasant and gives a type of positive energy. All the labs have been redesigned and updated with the latest equipment and are maintained well. The classes are not air-conditioned but are comfortable and spacious nonetheless. In fact, the students say that it is pleasant all the time. Wi-Fi facility is provided for all the students. It has a well-organised library and we can easily search for the required book. Reading facility and many more facilities are provided. The college has an excellent hostel and sports facility. LDRP has 2 canteens on campus and a mess for the hostelers. If you are interested in sports, then this is one of the best places to show your talent.
Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful and supportive. They help us in every query. Teaching is done with modern methods and practical view experimentation. The faculty members are highly knowledgeable. The way they motivate and encourage us in making different working models is good. The four best years of my life. I got to learn a lot of things and a good exposure to practical and theoretical aspects of engineering parallel to fun and fest. Whenever we need any guidance, the faculty is always there to guide us. They are always ready to help you and encourage you.
Other: There are cultural and technical fest organised every year. The tech fest of LDRP is called 'Xenesis'. The best part was the TECHFEST, conducted by the college that brought out the best out of every student to explore the endless ideas and technology that science can provide. The cultural fest here is open only for KSV University students, as it is a decent event. There are dance, fashion show, quizzes and a gharba night during the Navratri festival. The management of the college is also good and very responsive to students. They also give scholarships to needy students. The facilities provided for sports, NCC and NSS is superb.
