B.Com. (Hons.) in Banking and Insurance - Batch of 2024

My college was overall very good.
Placements: 30% of students were placed in my batch of B.Com out of the whole batch. The package was average. The highest package was 4-5 LPA and the lowest package was 2-3 LPA but it was the time just after COVID so the placement record was average. Most of the offers were from sales in B.Com.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are fully furnished and the seating arrangement is good in the classrooms. We had full access to the smart boards and everything in the ventilation system was good. The library was fully furnished, and quiet and comfortable seats were there for 9 hr access every day. The library was centralized. Facilities were good in the hostel. Rooms were fully furnished and connected washrooms were available. Some rooms had air conditioning. The food in the mess was good. There was a convenience store in the hostel from which you could get your daily needs stuff and a salon was there inside the hostel.
Faculty: All the faculty members were very cooperative, helpful, understanding, and very qualified staff. We learned good things from them. The course and curriculum are relevant practical knowledge was also provided by the college. Exams were not so difficult.
Other: I chose B.Com because I wanted to do my family business. Fest was very good and entertaining in our college they used to invite influencers, singers, writers, etc.

A good experience of UPES.
Placements: Around 94% of students were placed in my course. The highest package is 29 lacs. The average is 6.5 lacs. And the lowest is 4.5 lacs. Hyundai, Reliance and Maruti are the top recruiting companies of this course. Around 90% of students get internships in this course.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure in our college are brilliant. The Wi-Fi is fantastic, and the classrooms are well designed and organized. As well, the library has a wide range of books available. The food in the canteen is good. And the sports and games available on campus are quite decent.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified and professional and experts in their fields. They are quite good at distributing knowledge among the students. The teaching quality is also very decent. The difficult level in the semester exams is moderate. The pass percentage is around 40%.
Other: The best thing about this course, for which I have chosen it, is that it offers two specializations: banking, insurance, and e-commerce.

My journey at UPES (21-24).
Placements: Around 10% of the students were placed from our batch. The highest package in campus was 6.32 LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA; the average was around 3.75 LPA Most of them were from sales background. Eventually, internship were not up to the mark as provided by the campus. roles offered were sales executive and marketing executive .
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities of Upes Kandoli are up to the mark; everything is well organized; the library is equipped with Wi-Fi and power sockets to ease studies for the students. I haven't applied for a hostel as I am a local, but based on my classmates reviews, it's somewhat okay.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and experts in their fields. Teaching quality is good presentation and books; everything is used to make students understand the concept. Yes, they are really relevant because they make students ready to handle business development. Semester exams are moderate; the pass percentage is around 62%. .
Other: B.Com. is the course that I chose. The best part is that in this course, you'll get all-around knowledge of all the fields of running a business. I would say don't add exploration subjects marks to the core subjects marks. Yes, Urja Spanish is one of the best ones.

Our college has excellent infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: A mass number of students were placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is around 7 LPA as B.Com is a type of graduation that is not so given importance. There are no specific top recruiting companies as multiple NBCs have been visiting yearly and students are placed with huge salary packages.
Infrastructure: It is a fully Wi-Fi-enabled campus with no Wi-Fi blackouts in any of the areas. It has a full technical library. Our college has a football ground, volleyball, badminton court, and basketball court. An infirmary is available 24x7 and there are 2 cafes on campus.
Faculty: Teachers are completely knowledgeable about the course. They are helpful in everything. The course curriculum is industry-ready as all schools of the courses are equipped with a practical environment. Classes and tests can be both online and offline and even in hybrid mode.
Other: Events like moot courts and business meetings are held with students in our college.

Our college has good placement, great teachers, and the campus is beautiful.
Placements: Our college offers placements in five disciplines, engineering, design, business, computer science, and law. During 2021-22, the college had an overall placement record of 95.5%. Around 2480 students were placed under 630+ companies. The highest salary package went up to INR 50 LPA in 2022.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. There is Wi-Fi all over the campus. There are chemistry and physics labs, and an IT lab. The classrooms are also good with an ID card punching system. There is a cafeteria, a mac with a gym, a moot court, a basketball and a volleyball court. The quality of the food is also good. Our hostels are maintained well with triple sharing and there is a 24*7 electricity supply.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, well qualified, and have vast knowledge. They have unique teaching methods to make students understand. Our course curriculum helps students to develop their mental ability and social life too, which is good and relevant. Our exams are a little hard to pass, but they are alright. Everyone almost scores around 7-8 CGPA.
Other: I opted for B.Com (Hons) because it has a variety of career options. There is the annual fest URJA, which is too good, and there are small fests like Aagaaz.

Satisfied with the faculty but not that satisfied with the placement.
Placements: In the current passing out batch, there was about 50% placement and as far as I know, the base package was 2 LPA-3 LPA and the maximum was 7 LPA-8 LPA. About the internship, 100% of students got the internship as it is a compulsory requirement of the course. The companies which recruited freshers are ONGC, Indian oil, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was overall pretty good. It included almost all the facilities required such as a cafe, food court, playground for all the sports, indoor multi-activity center (MAC) including a gym. The games like pool, table tennis, carrom, and talking about the moot court it is the exact blueprint of the court for gaining experiences formally in the college premise. The hostel facilities are no doubt doing good with food but can be better if they want to.
Faculty: The teachers were great and very helpful. The way they teach their subject is fantabulous there are no compromises in the teaching cell except some overall ways of teaching are authentic. Thereby helping in enhancing knowledge thoroughly. The difficulty of the exam mainly varied to the discretion of the teacher but all in all, neither very difficult nor least difficult teachers usually maintain medium level difficulty and what the exam asks is what we have studied in class nothing other than that. The pass percentage is 35%. The course curriculum is very relevant the subjects we need to study in the course are the subject taught by this institution rather they provide an extra life skill subject to learn, how to manage or deal with problems we face in our lives.
