The descriptions of life at GSMC.
Placements: The name of the college is enough for you to get a good job in a hospital with a good salary. Almost all graduates are working, except those who want to study further. The students are well trained to take care of patients right after they graduate and excel at it.
Infrastructure: The physiotherapy department is a little outdated, as physiotherapy requires frequent updates in equipment and syllabus. The department could benefit from being situated in a place with more natural light. Hostel accommodation is another issue since not everyone gets a nearby hostel, which is more than 40 minutes away.
Faculty: The teaching staff and syllabus are good, covering important topics effectively. We are encouraged to learn additional material beyond the syllabus, which motivates everyone. The exams are up to standard, and we pass with an average of 50%. The course is relevant and prepares students to be at least 60% ready for their careers.

Our college provides good infrastructure and amenities.
Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed in our course. The average salary offered is Rs. 80,000 per month. Many government hospitals such as Breach Candy Hospital, AIMS Hospital, etc., visit our college. All students got six months of internships. Top roles offered are clinical assistant and associate professor.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities such as free Wi-Fi, libraries, air-conditioners, canteens, food services, a gym, etc.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful. They are strict. They are good and supportive.
Other: Our college conducts many events and fests. Many competitions are held in our college throughout the year.

Our college has great sports facilities but faculty members are not good.
Placements: Placements are not available in our college. If we want to get a job, then we can apply for a job or we can also pursue master's degrees. It also provides better job opportunities for students. We also have 6 months of internships, and the stipend is Rs.1,700 per month.
Infrastructure: In our college, both indoor and outdoor games are available for those students who are interested. Air-conditioners are available in the library. Medical facility is also available. Journals and reference books are provided. It also has ample space for reading. Hostel facilities are better, and the hostel fee structure is around Rs 6,000 - Rs 8,000 per year. Around 4 students can share each room. It also provides a bed and table, but shelves are not provided for the first two years.
Faculty: Our course curriculum is good. It also includes the latest developments and more focus should be given to research facilities. Our faculty members are average, and they have immense knowledge. Around 80% of the syllabus is learned by the students. KEM has a good name but only faculty members of physiotherapy need to be blamed, other departments are good.

Best years of my life, totally want to go back.
Placements: Being a part of one of the best medical colleges in India, the packages offered for my course went as high as Rs 4.75 lacs per annum and the average package offered was Rs 3.25 lacs per annum. One can easily get a job in a government or private hospital after completing this course. Internships are mandatory and 100 percent of the students were successful in getting internships.
Infrastructure: The classrooms in the college are spacious and have good air circulation. It is very close to nature. We spent most of our time in the library as they have the best reference books. However, the labs and infrastructure can be worked on a bit. The canteen rates are very affordable and the quality of food is delicious. A hectic study schedule doesn't give us enough time for sports.
Faculty: The examination portion is very lengthy and it requires a lot of dedication and hard work from our part. The course curriculum along with the practical sessions make us industry ready. All the professors are specialists in their fields. The teaching quality is excellent and we still remember the awesome experiences that our professors taught us in those days.

    Career building college.
Placements: There are no placement offers. We are given experience during the 6 month internship period, after our final year. Many students of our school and centre of physiotherapy, a part of Seth G. S. Medical College, have reached great peaks in their careers. Many are working with sports teams and have aced even at an international level.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms and the building in which we study are a bit scary due to the infrastructure, which is I think not strengthened since it was first established. But currently it underwent a renovation spree which makes it look good on the outside. The hostels are a bit messy and have a lot of problems. The girls hostel many times don't have water supply for a couple of days and some times their cooler supplies dirty mud laden water. The conditions of these hostels should really be improved by the government so that the students can be little more comfortable and can study easily. Nonetheless, hostel will form the best of families and friends and many very special too. There is no Wi-Fi in our department and in the classrooms there is very poor connection, almost negligible. The mess serves okayish food.
Faculty: The teachers have excellent knowledge. They are very well educated and hold exceptional degrees. They are highly intelligent and have a very nice practical approach which is the key factor for developing a student's mind for the practical world and problems. They are a bit strict which is good because we loose the oldfashioned, schoolish method of getting spoonfed. On the other side, they are a bit moody too, which sometimes interferes in an even communication and relationship between a student and teacher. But overall the knowledge they provide is very helpful in the further course of life.
Other: To be honest I chose this course since I couldn't score decent marks to secure an MBBS seat. But now I like this profession because in the OPD's, seeing those patients leave with a broad smile is very satisfying and heart warming. The annual cultural fest 'AAVISHKAR', is the best thing!

Good exposure to the out patient set up and a very great experience for learning.
Placements: Physiotherapy basically deals with the manipulation of soft tissues for therapeutic purposes. We give patients required electrical therapies for better recovery. My institute is the oldest and a renowned institution for Bachelor and Masters in physiotherapy. There's a lot of experience we can gather through postings and lectures.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the main college and hostel building is quite old and fine. The physiotherapy centre is recently renovated and a lot of new machines have been added to the previous massive setup. Hostel still needs attention from the government. College canteen is a sober place to eat.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified for their posts. They have a great knowledge of the subject and work hard for the benefits of students. They give you knowledge beyond the scope of the books which is basically important for clinical practices. You are trained to be future ready.
Other: The best thing about this course is the satisfaction you get after someone gets relieved off pain because of you.
