B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2028

It’s a good college. One can join.
Placements: Placement records are good and average. There is very good placement for core branches (Electrical and Mechanical). Most Electrical students get placed in companies like Torrent Pvt. Talking about Electronics and Telecommunication branch, there are fewer students placed as compared to intake. There are around 130-140 students in Electronics, out of which around 30 students are placed, and placement goes on.
Infrastructure: There is very good infrastructure in the college. Classes and labs are really good. Most colleges do not have proper labs, but SSGMCE has very good labs in every branch. Also, classes are very good and newly renovated. There is a huge ground in the campus.
Faculty: As the college is not autonomous, there is a little difficulty in passing semester exams. There is transparency in every aspect: exam marks, internals given on the basis of unit test, attendance, and TEC of 30 marks. Faculty members are really supportive, and students get a lot of help from faculty members.
Other: There is mess facility available at a cheap price, but the food is very average. There is no non-veg allowed, and special dishes such as paneer are given once a month or once in two months. Most of the time, there is watery sabji or dal. Talking about library, it is very good. There are fewer or approximately no events conducted in college.

Good placements in Mechanical Engineering.
Placements: Currently in second year of Mechanical branch, but as I have noticed, in our college core branches placements are more than CS/IT branches. In my branch, as I have noticed in the last 2-3 years, the highest offered LPA is 12 LPA, and the number of placements in my branch is very much better than others.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is consistent here, library is very much better, classrooms are also IIT level. Hostels are nice and well cleaned every day. Toilets and bathrooms are regularly cleaned 2 times a day, and there are 3 hostels for boys. It is a merit-based hostel, in 1st year, it is first-come-first-serve, but from 2nd year, your pointer matters to get your desired room.
Faculty: Some faculty are very nice, but some of them are not good. Teachers are well-mannered and respectful. They are well-qualified, some of them are IIT graduates, some are from NIT, but in general, all the faculty members of my college are very good, and exams are very strict.
Other: Very nice college.

I like the infrastructure and cleanliness here. Disappointment due to strictness and placement.
Placements: The college placement ratio is quite low. Core branch like mechanical, electronics and power has a good placement ratio, but for other branches, the placement ratio is very low. In electronics and telecommunication, approximately 140 students, only 50-60, got placed. Companies like Zoho, TCS and Cadence come for placement. Zoho offers a package of 6-8 LPA for 4-5 students. Last year, Cadence offered placement of 14 LPA to 2 people only. You can expect a below-average and average package.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great, and cleanliness is a priority here. Classroom, washrooms are clean and good. The hostel and hostel washrooms are always clean. Hostel washrooms are washed daily by the hostel management. In the hostel and classroom, there is no Wi-Fi availability. They say the availability of Wi-Fi, but never provide, once a month, you can see the availability of free Wi-Fi there. But in the library, there is very high-speed free Wi-Fi available.
Faculty: Teachers and staff are highly qualified, but their teaching methods don't help that much. The 1st year teaching staff is great, but the branch faculty members are not that great, they provide industry visits to mechanical, electronics and power students. For electronics and power, there is no industry visit, teaching and practicals are taken seriously, so no issue there, but they don't make industry-ready. Due to NEP, they follow the 60, 40 pattern, 60 marks theory paper in which 18 marks are required for passing, 40 marks internal in which a minimum of 12 marks is required, a total internal and external 40 marks need.
Other: EXTC, I chose it due to future scope, as the semiconductor industry is booming in India. The college provides sports events, and a combined event for seminars, workshops, sports, fun events, and cultural events.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering (Electronics and Power) - Batch of 2028

4Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good infrastructure, supportive faculty, and decent placements.
Placements: Around 50-70 percent of students were placed, with packages ranging from 2 LPA to 5 LPA. The average is 3 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Capgemini. About 25 percent got internships in firms like Adani Power and DRDO, mostly for roles such as Software Engineer and Graduate Engineer Trainee.
Infrastructure: The Electrical Engineering (Electronics and Power) department has well-equipped labs, Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, and access to a central digital library with research journals and e-books. The campus infrastructure is clean, well-maintained, and provides a good academic environment. The hostel facilities are decent, with clean rooms, 24/7 water and electricity, and Wi-Fi access. The mess food quality is average but hygienic, and the canteen offers better options at reasonable prices. Medical facilities are available on campus with a doctor on call, and emergency support is provided when needed. Sports facilities include a large playground, gym, and courts for cricket, football, volleyball, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable, with most holding M.Tech or Ph.D. degrees, and they guide students in both academics and projects. The teaching quality is generally good and concept-oriented, using practical examples. The course curriculum is updated and relevant, following RTMNU guidelines, and includes industry-based subjects like power systems, control engineering, and electronics, though it still needs more exposure to modern industrial tools and software to make students fully industry-ready. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty; conceptual understanding and regular study are enough to pass. The pass percentage usually remains around 85-90 percent.
Other: I’m from the Electrical Engineering (Electronics and Power) course at SSGMCE, Shegaon. I chose this course due to my interest in power systems and electronics. The best parts are the experienced faculty, good labs, and practical learning. It needs improvement in industrial exposure and core placements. The college has technical and cultural fests, an active campus crowd, peaceful surroundings, good connectivity, and offers scholarships with many extracurricular opportunities.

Nice faculty and facilities.
Placements: About 40%-60% of students got placed. The highest package offered last year was 14 LPA, the average was 5 LPA-6 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. Many students do internships during their college time. The roles offered are SDE, GET, designer, etc. Placements are getting higher every year.
Infrastructure: Well-equipped lab, classrooms, precious reading hall, and large library are available. Hostel is clean, food is nice, medical facilities are available, and sports complex has many facilities. The campus provides all types of facilities like nutritious food, a large playground, and cricket ground, which is very nice.
Faculty: Faculty are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good. Semester exams are easy to pass if we attend the lecture consistently. Exams are conducted by the SGBA university. Teachers are nice and helpful to the students. Teaching and learning are done in a very simple way.
Other: Course provides valuable knowledge. To improve the course, there should be more practical applications. Events are very nice and done in a very nice way. The campus is an 82-acre, lush green campus. Some students get a scholarship, which means free mess and food, and toppers get scholarships.

SSGMCE: A Great Blend of Academics, Campus Life, and Opportunities.
Placements: About 50% students got placed last year. The highest package was about 12 LPA and the lowest was another 3 LPA. Top recruiters were Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Infosys, and Zoho. The top roles were Software Developer, Network Engineer, System Analyst, VLSI.
Infrastructure: At SSGMCE, we have good labs, a library, and Wi-Fi for studies. The hostels are clean with RO water and Wi-Fi, and the mess food is simple but good. There's also a dispensary for health needs and nice sports facilities to relax. Overall, it's a good place to study and enjoy college life.
Faculty: The teachers at SSGMCE are helpful and know their subjects well. The teaching is good, and they explain things clearly. The course covers relevant topics and helps prepare us for the industry. Exams are not too tough if you study regularly, and the pass percentage is decent.
Other: I chose Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering because I’m interested in technology and communication systems. The best part of the course is learning both hardware and software, along with lab work. I wish there were more workshops and industry exposure. The campus is lively, with events and a good crowd, and the environment is peaceful. There are also great extracurricular activities and scholarships available, which make college life better.
