College review of SSTC, Bhilai.
Placements: In recent years, the percentage of students who were placed was not that high but decent, and most students who were placed were from the computer science branch. The highest package of my college is 14 LPA. And the average is around 3.5 LPA. The major recruiting companies are TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities that were offered in the college were quite good; there were good ventilated classrooms for every branch students. Free Wi-Fi was available in the college, but the internet speed was very slow. Labs are well ventilated with AC. And computers in labs are in good condition. Boys hostel was okay, but the condition of girls hostel was very good. The food of hostel was very bad and free medical facilities are available for college students.
Faculty: The faculty of the college was not that good, but some faculty are very nice and supportive. All the teachers are qualified enough, but some are not, but that is not an issue because they teach very well. The teaching quality was very good. But when I talk about curriculum, some subjects that I studied in my first and second semesters were not really relevant to my course. Exams are not really tough. I say the quality of questions are very good.
Other: I choose CS engineering because I love computers and it's software, and I choose AIML because it gives the depth knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence.

SSTC is a good place to learn and grow.
Placements: About 75% of students got placed in this course early. The highest package offered is about 6 to 7 LPA, the lowest package is about 2 to 2.5 LPA, and the average package is about 3 to 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, TCS, Tata, Infosys, BYJU's, Capgemini, Cognizant etc. About 60% of students got internships from this course. Roles offered are program manager, talent acquisition, HR talent specialist, project manager, electronic engineer etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our college are good. It has Wi-Fi, labs in every department, and classrooms with manual and digital class facilities. There is a big two-storeyed library. The quality of hostel facilities is good enough. The canteen is good enough, and the medical facilities are provided as the college has its own hospital. Sports and games facilities like a cricket ground, basketball ground, and badminton ground are available. An indoor swimming pool is available on campus.
Faculty: All the faculty members are highly qualified and good enough. They are knowledgeable of their subjects. The course curriculum is completely relevant and makes students gain good knowledge. Semester exams are good enough, and it is easy to pass and get a good percentage.
Other: I chose this course as I want to get into the core field. The best thing about the course is that we can gain knowledge of two fields, electronics and communication. The college conducts many different events, fests and extracurricular activities. The college has different clubs who are involved in different activities and increase the students to get participated in.

College life and experience are good.
Placements: The placement experience was good. The bulk placement company was Tata Consultancy Services, but apart from that, many companies came for placements and hired many students of their worth. The highest job for a fresher provided by the college in placements is an associate engineer.
Infrastructure: Hostel life was quite good enough. Apart from that, the college was great, and also the environment near the college is good. People are very helpful in the locality.
Faculty: Semester exams are of moderate difficulty. Exams are not that difficult or easy, but it depends on how you study. Our college came under Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, but from 2020, it became autonomous. Maybe exams would get quite difficult this time.

Overall, a good experience with really good enthusiasm and positive vibes.
Placements: Placements in the college were not that good. It does not offer a guarantee of placements. Only 30% of students were got placed. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 2.5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 1.5 to 2 LPA. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Collebra, and Capital Heights, etc., visited the college for placements. Students were offered roles relating to BPO, marketing and sales sectors.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is really nice and well-equipped with machines and laboratories. Every facility like Wi-Fi, a good library, etc., is available in the college. The food quality is really very nice here. The campus is good. The parking area is also good. Hostel rooms are nice with attached washrooms.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college were helpful, well qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality was excellent. The student to faculty ratio was 20:1. I did get industry exposure here. The course curriculum was helpful, and we learnt a lot. Teachers used to teach through blackboard, presentations, seminars, etc.

The college is not excellent, but overall it is good.
Placements: The placements are good on the campus. This year, most of the students got placed on the campus. The highest salary offered was 9 LPA, and the lowest was 1.8 LPA. The companies depending on their vacancies offered various positions to the placed students. There is a placement cell, and it helped us keep up-to-date with top to toe information of the company.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and is continually growing to be better. It will take time to get a little better. As claimed, we do have Wi-Fi zones. The library has an ambience. The canteen has a variety of foods, and they are delicious. The hostel rooms have individual toilets. The labs have all the equipment that is required. The classrooms are well-ventilated though sometimes the summer heat can be a little overwhelming.
Faculty: The faculty members are indeed helpful, qualified, and well-knowledgeable, but it totally depends on the students how well can they utilise such talents. They are friendly, and they do sometimes act as counsellors when you need them. If you have WhatsApp contact with your faculty members, then all-time support is available.
Other: The fest is awesome, and do not miss it. There are a lot of events to participate. The campus crowd is light, so you need not worry about overcrowding. The scholarships are given to the students in need of it.

Infrastructure is nice and much facilities are not provided. Placements are not good.
Placements: The placements are average in this college. The average salary package is about Rs. 3 LPA. Many IT companies visit our campus but, a few core companies visit our campus. Generally, IT and CSE department people placed in the companies where the core branches like Mech, Civil and Electrical are not placed in core companies. The students also prepare GATE to qualify for that exam.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very nice in our college. Overall campus is filled with greenery. The name of the building or garden is named as Sanskrit. Wi-Fi facility is available. The classrooms are average on our campus. Facilities like games are not to the mark. Canteen is provided with good food. The library facility is also good in our college.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members are good and very few are not able to teach. The syllabus is not updated at the time. Some of the faculty members are very helpful but some of them are not qualified, and even they don't have enough knowledge. The course curriculum is not updated.
Other: SAMVID is tech fest, and cultural fest which is fascinating and one can enjoy a lot.

Satisfied by our faculty members but poor placement in 2017 batch.
Placements: Due to recession, lesser number of companies appeared in our campus.30% students got placed with a salary of 10k-15k on an average.20% of them were BPO and rest of the companies are of our field. None got placed during internship, college doesn't even provides internships.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped with updated technologies, or say our college provides us nice facility for practicals. On an average classrooms are good, sports and cultural events are organized by our college every year in the month of feb, and the best events all over Bhilai.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful once you interact to them very well. No faculty in our campus were illiterate or without knowledge of that field. Yet the digital facilities are about to start, teaching gonna simple for faculty members and also for students to understand more appropriate.
Other: You will fall in love with the campus crowd, campus surroundings are exactly the same, it's fantastic.

A moderate college with less industrial focus.
Placements: Placements are provided with various options in the technical and the non-technical profiles. They have conducted three placements week here. And concluding all the drives will be in the last week of March. About 50 percent of the students are placed in any of the company. But, the non-technical profile availability is more than the technical. They also provide extra classes for the placement preparation here. Co cubes and AMCAT campus drive are also organised here.
Infrastructure: Every classroom is equipped with a well-maintained table and benches. Also, separate classes are provided for the lectures considering the use of the projectors. Cameras are installed at some point of the building but not in every class. Two canteens are there with a limited menu and one juice station. Also, two stationaries are there on campus. One gym, one music room, one football field, one basketball court are there here for the entertainment purposes.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members here are the postgraduates. Few of them have done PhD, and also the interaction between the students and teachers will be good. But there is a lack of the environment for the further education. The course curriculum is out-dated here. Currently, it has been revised step by step, but it's not up to the brim.
Other: Samvid is organised every February. It's the largest college fest in central India. NSS activities are quite popular here. Various tournaments for cricket, badminton, football are also organised here where participation is worth to do.
