Our college provides very good teachers and had a good placement record last year.
Placements: Around 50% of students got placed the previous year. The highest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Nippon India and L&T were top recruiting companies. Around 60% of students got internships in Indian Railways the previous year but electrical students got more internship chances in Indian Railways.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available in our college. The condition of the electrical lab is not good, so students have to go to another college for the electrical practical lab. The hostel is not available due to some problems.
Faculty: All teachers in our college are helpful and well-qualified. Their teaching style is very good. The course curriculum is relevant to make students industry-ready after the first year. Semester exams are easy because teachers make students ready for exams. All subjects become easy because of their teaching style. Teachers are not enough for all subjects.

The teachers of Siliguri Polytechnic college are very helpful and charming.
Placements: The percentage of placements is upto 60%. The highest and the lowest package offers is upto 15-25 K. Companies which came to our college are Wabag, Capgemini, L&T and Pave Infrastructure PVT. LTD. etc. Top roles are trainee engineer, technical supporter and developer etc.
Infrastructure: In our college, there are great labs and workshops. Free Wi-Fi is there but available only for special purposes. Classrooms are well maintained and our college also has digital classrooms, communication hall and auditorium. Library is full of books, you can get all electrical engineering syllabus related books. Our college doesn't have boys hostel but there is a girl's hostel and I don't have much knowledge about this. Canteen food is okay and cheap but not so good. Medical facilities are also available and senior students are very helpful. Indoor and outdoor games are available too.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and charming, they are always ready to help you in your studies. Teachers are well-educated. Teaching quality is very good. In my opinion, Diploma course is good but not so much to make us industry-ready. I suggest after Diploma, you must go for B.Tech for better experience. If you properly complete your syllabus and study well then it's not so hard but without your efforts, it is always be hard to qualify. The passing percentage is 45%. .
Other: I chose this course because it is about knowing electric and the electronic gadgets and they work, how instruments are manufactured, how electricity is produced and how to they transfer the current and much more interesting things. The problem about this college is that our board should improve the quality of labs and workshops. Annual fest, fresher and basant utsav are organized in the college.

Candidate should not have any Colour Blindness and candidate should be Physically and Mentally fit.
