Campus life is great, and the faculty members in civil engineering are amazing.
Placements: My batch is 2016-2020. I used to work in the technical clubs of the department. The department organizes various site visits for a better understanding of concepts and just not limited to book knowledge. Since my batch passed out during the Covid-19 phase, many students were placed in companies while they were doing internships.
Infrastructure: The college has well-arranged classrooms, hostels and a canteen with a variety of food for students. All laboratories are equipped with the necessary equipment. All the subjects are taught, keeping in mind the technical aspects. Good food is available in the canteen. A sports event is held every year in January. I used to participate in cricket.
Faculty: The faculty members mentor us in all phases, and I learn a lot from them. All are friendly and make sure that students get attention. Students are always told to undergo internships. We also used to get SSIP opportunities. Semester exams are practical and application-based. It might be tough for those who mug up the concepts.
Other: The college organizes various events in both technical and cultural fields. Every year in February, a cultural fest named Junoon is organized on a grand scale in GMDC, Ahmedabad. The college has full network connectivity due to an excellent Jio fiber network.

The campus should be more spacious.
Placements: Most of the students don't take the job in which they got selected most of the time because of the bond. Almost 20% of the students got placed in 2018. The average salary package offered was 1 LPA, the maximum salary package offered was 3 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was Rs. 50,000 per annum. Top recruitment companies are Tata Consultancy Services, Larsen & Toubro, etc. Almost 10% of the students got an internship in government projects. Top roles offered were of manager and junior engineers.
Infrastructure: The place in which we used to live was not offered by our college. It was a private hostel, and it was the nearest to our college. It was a 3-storeyed building with a lift. Basic amenities were available in the hostel, like Wi-Fi and cool water, and silence is maintained in the library. The quality of the food was decent. The first-aid kit was always available at the hostel.
Faculty: Most of the teachers were good, and almost all of them had done a master's degree with good marks. Some of them were from IIT, so the knowledge they have was enough for us. The course needs to be flexible because some of the contents of books are rarely used or never use at all in real life. It does make students industry-ready, but it is somewhat useful.
Other: I have chosen civil engineering because most of my family members are in the civil field. The campus is very small for a college, and the crowd is more. I think they should make more space on the campus. There is no playground on the campus, so it is the main concern.

Our college has good and supportive staff members.
Placements: Placements provided by the college are not good. Firstly we have college-level screening, followed by company level screening. Then an interview is conducted, and if students clear the interview, they have to face HR round. The final discussion will be about the salary package offered. Most of the companies visiting our campus are marketing. As compared to other fields, civil has very low placement companies.
Infrastructure: Our college had a much-congested area, and even the parking space was not available. No proper hostel facilities were provided. There was a canteen on the campus, but it was not good. Even the food served was not of good quality. There was no proper plantation, and the drainage line was disgusting. The chamber was upside the road, and it smelled very bad.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college were very good, and the staff members were also supportive. If we had any problem teachers help us. But HOD was much arrogant. They didn't focus on students.

Review of Silver Oak College of Engineering & Technology.
Placements: Placements were good for computer and IT students and not that good for civil students. In civil engineering, placements were average. The average salary package offered was 3-4 LPA. Only a few good companies visit the campus for placements of civil engineering students. As it is a good institute, placements standard is good, but it needs to be improved.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good, but many buildings are located side by side, and no room for sports ground. Every ground is used as parking, which is not good. As a sports person, there should be facilities to accommodate students if they want to perceive their careers in sports. However, the buildings are good. Classrooms are equipped with air-conditioned in some blocks. All laboratories are very well-maintained. There are many opportunities to work in laboratories and to do some experiments. Apple labs are very good.
Faculty: All engineering faculty members were good and experienced in their teaching field. They are some faculty of IIT in which students have more opportunity to learn and improve their engineering knowledge. There are many practical chances of knowledge as in engineering theoretical as well as practical knowledge is very much important. They also provide summer internship, which is very helpful to gain the practical knowledge of industries.

Placements: Placements in our college are good. The college provides good job opportunities. The salary package offered is around 4-5 LPA. Almost 70-80% of the students got placed. Many companies visit the campus for placements. Profiles of computer-based, imagination, and sketching are offered. There is a placement cell in our college.
Infrastructure: Our college provides the Wi-Fi facility. Labs are available for each subject. Instruments required for the practicals are provided. Classrooms are clean and provided with the basic facilities. The library is huge and has good knowledgeable materials. Quality of labs is good. Sports activities and materials are provided. There are many clubs in the college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful. All the teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is quite good. The teaching method is unique. The student to facility ratio is good. The college organises industrial visits for students to get industry exposure.
Other: Events organised in our college are very good. Every activity is conducted on the campus. The campus crowd is high. Connectivity is good. Scholarships are provided to students.

A good bet for education in the Gujarat education ecosystem, one of the best colleges in Ahmedabad.
Placements: Placement season for the students of our batch was successful. For the students of core branches like civil, mechanical, and electrical, the average salary package offered was 3.50 LPA. For the students of IT and computer science departments, the average salary package offered was 6 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA, for the students of IT and computer science departments. The placement percentage was almost 70% with students getting placed on campus as well as the support provided by placement cell for scheduling off-campus recruitment processes. Nearly 108 companies had visited our campus for placement drives. Companies like Infosys, Zydus, Rexroth, Cyberoam, L&T Infotech and 103 other companies like Pioneer, etc., have visited our campus for placement drives. The average stipend offered was Rs. 5,000 per month. Internships were offered by various small and medium scale industries and companies nearby to enhance students' learning during winter and summer vacations.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at SOCET was completely new and up-to-date. All 5 departments at SOCET have fully functional labs with lab assistants and caretakers to maintain them. Students have full access to use the labs whenever required. There is an Apple lab on campus to boost the learning of computer science and IT students regarding the programming languages used at Apple Inc. Apart from this unique facility, there are a robotics lab, CAD/CAM laboratory, CNC turning machine and solar/welding simulator available on campus to encourage research and projects on such innovative areas of engineering. There is an ample amount of encouragement garnered to students for sports with good infrastructure for various outdoor and indoor sports.
Faculty: Faculty members at SOCET were well-qualified in their respective field of study. The faculty to student ratio was good; it was almost 1:11 as an average for all the branches combined. The college has a great mix of professors and associate professors from academics and industrial background, and this gives the reputation of college a great boost. The overall quality of teaching is one of the best in the state among the local colleges. The curriculum has been kept abreast with new updates in the industries and new additions into the IITs and NITs of the country.

Infrastructure: All facilities are best in the college like mineral water, canteen, laboratory and medical facilities are available. All classrooms are covered by cameras for proper concentrate. All faculty members are highly educated and well experienced so study under them is very useful to all students.
