Suryadatta Institute of Vocational & Advanced Studies (also known as SIVAS Pune) is one of the premier institutes of Pune, and is a constituent unit of the Surya Group of Institutes. SIVAS, along with 13 sister institutes, is run and managed by the Surya Group in various streams of education, including Management, Travel and Tourism, Hotel Management, Media & Mass Communication, Interior Designing, Fashion & Jewellery Design, Event Management, Multimedia Graphics and Animation, Creative Arts, Aviation, Health and Fitness, Self-defense, Beauty & Wellness and Vocational & Advanced Studies. The Institute is affiliated to Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) and is also the study centre for the same university. SIVAS Pune is approved by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra (DTE Maharashtra) and recognised by the Government of Maharashtra. SIVAS Pune is also an ISO 9001:2015-certified institute and is also accredited by the NVT Quality Certification, ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).

Suryadatta Institute of Vocational & Advanced Studies comprises a total of four institutes, which are namely:

SIVAS Pune offers various bachelor’s, master’s, diploma, advanced diploma and certificate programmes distributed among six departments, namely Fashion Design, Mass Communication & Media, Interior Design, Event Management, Animation and Photography. Additionally, SIVAS also has an active international collaboration with London Academy of Professional Training for diploma programmes in Event Management and Hotel Management. BVoc programme offered by SIVAS SSIHM is affiliated to Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). Other than YCMOU, various diploma and certificate programmes offered at SIVAS Pune are also affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Vocational Education (MSBVE). In addition to the regular academics, SIVAS Pune organizes several industrial visits, guest lectures, seminars by relevant professionals and much more. This gives their students the latest knowledge of the industry and a hand-on experience in various spheres of Vocational and Advanced Studies.

SIVAS Pune Admission Process

Suryadatta Institute of Vocational & Advanced Studies admission process is conducted in both online and offline modes. Admission is offered on first-cum-first-serve basis since seats offered at the Institute are limited. The application process for all the programmes begin in the month of April every year. Candidates can obtain the admission kit by sending a DD of Rs 1,000 drawn in favor of ‘Suryadatta Education Foundation’ payable at Pune along with the duly filled online form. Candidates applying for all the programmes must ensure their eligibility criteria before applying for the programme.

• Admission to UG and diploma programmes is based on merit in the last qualifying examination (Class 12 or equivalent)
• Final admission to advanced diploma is based on merit in diploma in the relevant stream
• Candidates awaiting results of final examination can also apply as they will be given provisional admission until their final semester’s mark-sheets are out

SIVAS Pune Courses

Suryadatta Institute of Vocational & Advanced Studies Pune courses include bachelor’s, diploma, certificate and advanced diploma programmes under streams such as Event Management, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Animation, Photography and Mass Communication & Media. The duration of BSc (Media Graphics and Animation) programme is three years, whereas diploma, advanced diploma and certificate programmes range from three months to a year of duration.
