At Sikkim Manipal institute of technology for the students who are in the category of Foreign National/Person Of Indian Origin/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries must go through a screening that will be conducted by SMU in order to get admission here. The Foreign Candidates need to obtain a registration certificate or no objection certificate from the foreign registration office located at Gangtok, India for admission.

At Sikkim Manipal Institute Of Technology there is a Proper Training and Placement Department (T&P) which is also the hub of all the possible in tractions between the Academic Institutions, Corporation Industries and others with SMIT. The aim of this department is to provide assistance in the placements for all eligible students of Pass-out Batches throughout the Campus Placement. UDAAN came together to represent SMIT in Kaalrav ’16 and ‘17 and secured Second Prize in the Group Dance Competition. The soul and whole motive of UDAAN is to entertain people and express themselves which is reflected in their performance.
• CHROMATIX: Chromatix is the first ever Music Club of SMIT founded and established in the year 2016.The club functions as a family and gives platform for the daily advancement of an individual. Their consistency and hardwork handed the club its very first opportunity to perform in Kaalrav’17.
